I like the twist with Michael, Willow and Chase too because it makes them somewhat more interesting and complicated. Willow and Michael are still zzzzzzz but at least something may come of it all. Chase can pretend to be paralyzed to hold onto Willow. It makes them more 'gray'. Which I'm good with. I also like the messy Nina/Jax/Sonny/Carly stuff. At least they're trying to be a soap again LOL. Nina is shooting herself in the foot lol. I'm also patiently waiting for Sonny to set Phyllis and Lenny up in PC. And busting up Jason and Sam and moving them into new relationships is nice. Sam and Dante aren't bad. Though I feel like they aren't entirely sure where to go with them and then you have Brook Lynn in the mix with Dante and Chase ... Great to have Shawn back. I like they immediately hit the beats with him and you can tell he's silently pissed at being in jail so long. I'm glad he's back. I've become used to Briana Henry as Jordan but when literally everyone acts circles around her ... sigh.

We loved and appreciated them before many even took notice. Love to see their success!

THIS. Carly is everything they're writing her to be. Laura Wright, and I do love her, can be grating, so that's probably why folks are rebelling against it. That, and no one seems allowed to call Carly out on her laundry list of crimes and misdeeds as she reads them for filth. It's uneven writing too.

Yeah, I'm expecting Peter around until fall, despite what they say. I agree. I see potential with the show, I really do. It's still messy but it's there. They remembered they're a soap opera so that was a start. I like the soapy cliche of Willow staying with Chase out of pity (though, please, like ANYONE would choose Michael over Chase). I like that actions have lasting affects and the show doesn't feel like people are in their own bubble. Characters interact and stories interact. Also wanted to add, Carly's felt the most in character in YEARS. Despite this, Laura Wright can't totally sell Carly as a mob boss so that's why it doesn't 100% work. She can sell the other aspects but it often comes off as a harassing shrew. I think she's on way too much but it's so much better than kissing Sonny's ass and playing matriarch. And can we keep amnesiac Sonny? He's so much better. EDIT: Apologies for being late to the discussion lol I'm pages behind ...

I wish Sony would just sell their interest in the show. Sony has always felt like the problem to me with both DAYS and Y&R. I'm assuming NBC wants to keep the show (Today isn't setting the news world on fire, let's be honest so no more expansion; they have no replacements in development). But just how much lower can the damn budget go? lol And if a game show ever did replace it, the show would be a 'name' not some new development.

These shows hold onto psychos for waaaaay too long. I agree folks are numb to it. It feels tired. The actor playing Gray is gorgeous so I assume that's why they hang onto him but it's time to move on. They seem desperate to have something 'click' and be a hit and work. Man, it reminds me so much of what we've had to sit through with the US soaps for so long now at this point.

THIS (and I'll have to see who that guy is LOL) I've questioned reality show casting for so long. I swear they deliberately cast people with issues who should be in therapy and not on a dating show or competition series. EDIT: I wonder if being 'isolated' in a reality show bubble amplifies the mental health issues people are suffering from when they aren't surrounded by their typical routine and friends/family. I've always been interested in human psychology lol

Colton really should probably be in therapy and not on ANOTHER reality show. Just saying. He has deeper issues (not an excuse; an observation). lol yep. He looks ridiculous going on ANOTHER reality show. And his PR goodwill blitz was just shot to hell. Lord. He (or his team around him) isn't very smart is he?

That's true. I don't really follow the drama with the franchise, lol. I actually forgot he had the "stalking" issue with Cassie (just saying I hear the news and it's in one ear and out the other). And yep, it's their job, and I'm guessing Colton still has some sort of Bachelor contract. But I see now he has a reality show in the works and so now I see it's a PR blitz. What does he need to be held accountable for? (I can think of some things but I'm not being snarky, genuiely asking) Gus gives me major dirty vibes. Ugh. But he's better than many they could have chosen, lol. He sure is, lol. I imagine so much of that is staged lmao And now I'm having mixed feelings on his ass again. They want a gay dating show. Just do a gay dating show. I'm shocked Gus hasn't been on DWTS yet. Or Colton. Cue the countdown clock ...

And it's painful when they're both on in the same episode too. It's like watching the Spider-Man gif ... I'm at the point where I agree with you on that; it's probably a good thing they aren't being ruined. You know they'd waste them both on Michael. Twink Michael doesn't work anymore. Time for a recast.

This. I'm not condoning any bad behavior, but the boy literally jumped over a fence on his season. He was running from who he was. When you grow up and like he said the word gay is used as a slur to mean you're being stupid or doing something stupid, it has an effect on you.

Eh, it felt genuine to me. I can relate to some of his story. I get it. I don't think he's lying for PR. Why? lol He's cute and good for him for coming to terms with it. Not everyone has an easy journey, you lie to yourself, to others ... I get it. The "stalking" was clearly Colton not able to admit who he was and struggling to hold onto Cassie and she didn't understand what the hell was going on. He's not making excuses and owning up that he handled things badly and hurt people in his journey. I still think a few other Bachelors should come out of that closet. I feel bad for him already because as evidence in here, he's going to be [!@#$%^&*] on.

I'm over it too. I share your sadness because there was a lot of potential. I do think it helped pivot Laura a bit but overall it feels like a meh. I also wanted them to do the Gregory/Finn/Chase DNA reveal but now even that I'm feeling meh on. I blame the writers too. They don't seem to understand how to write compelling villains who can do evil things but we also sympathize. They're trying too hard to show us "see, he has layers and is sympathetic because he loves his mother" ... "he's misunderstood so you need to care" ...

It does feel a bit hollow with the families. Too many people who should still be around were killed off. LOL. (Not to mention Tracy is only visiting and Felicia is MIA) I'm all for 'slow moving' but I feel like the Laura/Cyrus/Martin stuff needs to start moving more. I'm losing interest and Cyrus just sucks as a villain we're supposed to take seriously. I like Jeff Kober but it's reminding me of early Valentin where he whined and cried and threatened and was supposed to be so scary and dangerous and you just laugh. I'm tired of hearing about Florence. Just give the damn woman back. lol

Exactly. I'm all for 'normal' too but even Hallmark wouldn't want Michael and Willow! Zzzzzzzz Laura and Kevin, while not the most exciting pairing, fill that 'normal' couple for me, even though we barely see them together (was this week a fluke or did they hear the bitching?) To make them interesting, have Michael run daddy's business and then Willow gets blown up. We all win. I have no doubts. LOL I can't wait Right? I noticed that. I'm guessing Botox. And yeah, this is what it's come to. LOL. I get milking a villain and I'd have milked Peter a bit too in storyline even though we all hate him, but it's really time to wrap this up soon. LOVE Britt and Brook Lynn. Both of them on my screen makes me so happy. They are totally the anti-Sasha and Willow. I pay attention when the former two are on-screen. I fall asleep when the latter two are on. Sasha had potential but Mattsson is still green and they don't seem interested in Sasha despite keeping her around.
