  1. I wonder if the show made them prove their sob stories ? I found this rare 1978 episode of night time The Price Is Right.
  2. I saw this too. I always think of the parody they did of it on The Carol Burnett Show when this show is brought up.....LOL
  3. 1983: Dinner At Julia's with friend/ guest chef Wolfgang Puck.
  4. Good food choices can not 100% guarantee a life without health issues. Life is a crap shoot and you can only do the best you can. Do what's right for you and don't worry about other peoples opinions.
  5. She sounds insufferable. If you are paying for it, you eat what you want. Pay no attention to her. The other day someone was attacking people in the comments section on youtube about them buying, eating oranges and drinking orange juice. I know we want to be healthy, but people are developing eating disorders and a fear of food with all the false information and hysteria being put out there. It's out of control and it will continue to get worse.
  6. A classic 1983 episode of Dinner At Julia's.
  7. I love classic cooking shows when you could actually learn something instead of these current stupid competition crap fests. Here are 3 episodes I ran across of the PBS series " The International Kitchen". It was based in Hawaii and created and hosted by Nino J. Martin. According to what info I found out, Martin was a big wig in TV production in Hawaii. The show ran from about 1979 till Martin's death in December 1988. He would do some shows where he did the cooking and some episodes would feature a guest cook . I'm not too crazy about some of the recipes featured here, but is fun and relaxing to just to watch the process. I don't remember watching this series back in the day as a kid, but it was a pleasant surprise to discover. 1982: 1983: 1985:
  8. I have a pet peeve with these social media influencers that are making people afraid of food. Like that Bobby Parrish guy (who looks like a walking eating disorder). He goes through the markets ranting and throwing food screaming it's all poison and that you should only eat "Bobby Approved" food (which cost 3 times more). He has people downloading an app he created to shop, marketing/pushing supplements etc...One woman said her mother in law is obsessed with his advice and she now looks sickly anorexic. She also spends all her money on buying Bobby approved merchandise. She said every time she goes over there all the latest crap he is shilling is in her pantry and talks about him non stop when the subject of food and eating comes up. Several licensed dieticians have debunked a lot of the myths he spouts with scientific proof to back it up, but his rabid followers attack them. Parrish has a no degree what so ever in backing up the information he is putting out there. He is also trying to council diabetics (even wearing a glucose monitor) on what to eat and he does not have diabetes. Their bodies will react different to sugar than his. Julia Child touched on the topic of the media making people afraid to enjoy food. She enjoyed cooking and eating and lived to be 92.
  9. Thanks for to the video clip. It would be great to see complete episodes of this series.
  10. Anne Lockhart always reminded me a bit of Natalie Wood.
  11. Lee Lawson (Bea) Cool Whip Commercial 1974. She acts a bit weird when she taste it.....LOL
  12. Speaking of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.....in episode 5 " Bar-B-Que" Pam is wearing a dress similar to the one Elizabeth Taylor did in the film.
  13. Episode of the short lived Diamond Head Game.
  14. I had never heard of this show till I saw these uploads. The old original commercials are cool too. One episode contained probably one of the first ads for Ragu spaghetti sauce. Yes I had to Google who singer Enzo Stuarti was.....🤣
  15. Found this new 2 part interview with Steve Kanaly. He is honest about is time on Dallas and the crappy way he was let go from the show. I noticed anytime a cast member is asked about Victoria they kind of dance around the subject with an evasive answer and they quickly move on......was she difficult or just aloof in her own bubble ?
  16. Steve Kanaly looked like he could be a brother to Tony Dow. Surprisingly I found photos of them together in Google images at events and hanging out in the 80's.
  17. I never stop laughing at Lucy wearing 6 or 7 inch heels trying to appear taller.
  18. That is a great scene Later when Miss Ellie is concerned about Jock's friendship with Julie Gray, Pam repeats her words back to her about fighting for Jock. LOL at someone who can act. Presley was awful and dull in the role of Jenna. I wish Fairchild had been brought back to battle with Principal in meaty scenes. Cliff really did come apart as the show went on. Ken aged very quickly and came across as more eccentric as time went on.
  19. She really was beautiful till she started with the surgery and bad hairstyles. I loved the way she looked circa 1978-79 with the long flowing hair. The episode where she comes riding up to Bobby on horseback when he pulls into the driveway when they argue about Jenna (Morgan Fairchild) she was stunning. Poor Ken Kercheval (Cliff) really aged quickly too during his run.
  20. Her face started to change around 1982 along with various awful hairstyles/dye jobs. Her hair looked best in season 1 and 2 before the shag. I guess that was supposed to be courtesy of Jhirmack. I just bet she really used those products 🤣
  21. Victoria looked entirely different by the end of her run. She was stunning in 1978, but looked horrible by the time of J.R. & Sue Ellen's second wedding in 1982.
  22. In one of the later seasons they did that episode where Bobby and J.R. get trapped in an elevator and start drinking and talking about the past. There is a flashback to 1978 when Bobby started at Ewing oil after marrying Pam....in only about 10 years you can really tell Patrick and Larry had rapidly aged quite a bit. Patrick was already going gray (some episodes looks like was trying to cover it up before giving in) by that point and was only about 40 when that episode aired. J.R. looked like he should be several years into retirement.
  23. 🤣
  24. I noticed in some of the youtube podcast interviews that Joan usually wears a lot of stuff that covers the back of her hands and neck. It's been a while since Ted has appeared in public.....is he OK ? David Jacobs house is not of my personal taste. It's very 80's modern/art deco. I prefer traditional style homes. On KL Gary and Val's house was a type of a California take on a colonial. I guess you could call it a California Colonial. I liked their house and Richard & Laura's house and Gary's ranch. I liked Southfork and Pam's homes on Dallas. The Lawrence home on Family and the Bradford home on Eight Is Enough were nice too.
  25. I think David Wayne was replaced because he had signed on to do the short lived series " House Calls" At the time he was appearing as Digger on Dallas, he also appeared on Eight Is Enough (another Lorimar series) as the absentee father of Tom Bradford( Dick Van Patten). The 2 part episode was filmed on location in Hawaii. When they did the EIE Hawaii episodes in 1979, Lorimar should have had episodes where the Ewings visit Hawaii. Maybe the Honeymoon that Bobby and Pam never had etc...
