  1. Isn't that always the case with sexual harrassment? It's not about attraction, but power. Just like rape isn't about sex, it's also about power.
  2. I just love this song so much
  3. The term "delusional" doesn't even begin to cover Trump's state of mind. At times (more often than not) it feels like he's living in a little world of his own.
  4. Are they serious with this crap about Lachlan hiring a nurse to help keep Rebecca captive? I can't believe the depths this show has sunk to. It's pathetic! I guess I should be thankful that at least Rebecca is alive but this is such a tragic mess. When I think about how good and realistic this show used to be and then compare that to what it is now it makes me want to cry with frustration and anger.....
  5. Three songs written by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus (of ABBA fame) in recent years.
  6. Yes, the far right made some gains, but nowhere near as much as I feared, and the Social Democrats did much better than predicted. But we're still left with major problems when it comes to forming a strong government. No side, neither left nor right, have enough seats in parliament to be able to govern. Even a coalition will struggle. Right now the left has 144 seats and the right 143 with the Sweden Democrats having 62 seats. We're in for some serious bargaining between the opposing sides to see if they can come to an agreement. All the remaining parties have however reiterated their determination to keep the Sweden Democrats away from any position of power. We'll see if they can live up to that promise.
  7. So Lachlan can kill left and right, but when it involves Dingles suddenly he's not as successful...... If he had managed to get rid of one or two of them I would have forgiven him practically everything.
  8. The internet and social media can be such a toxic, vile place where people seemingly let go of anything resembling logical thinking and common sense. It's disgusting.
  9. Well, to be fair to Cher the song's lyrics aren't exactly bubbling with excitement and happiness.....
  10. It's general election time here today, and all signs point towards a parliamentary nightmare. The Sweden Democrats, a xenophobic party with their roots in neo-nazism, looks set to become the second largest party. But since no other party wants to deal with them (thankfully), it will be difficult to form a functioning government.
  11. I haven't seen anything like this since the infamous French Open final 1999 between Martina Hingis and Steffi Graf, where Hingis had a meltdown. She was on her way to the title when she questioned a line-call and then things rapidly went from bad to worse for her. She lost her cool and ultimately the match. She never won a singles GS title again after that. Of course she also got the French crowd against her, and even though I rooted for Steffi I found their behaviour appalling.
  12. From that perspective maybe it's a good thing that her opponent was Naomi Osaka. Can you imagine what would have happened if it had been someone like Maria Sharapova, considering the history between those two...
  13. That's only what I would have expected of her. Naomi did absolutely nothing wrong. I understand that Serena was probably very upset and emotional at that moment, but if she had acted in any other way towards Naomi it would have been really unsportsmanlike and out of line.
  14. I guess it's safe to say that some of the umpires have made quite an impact at the US Open this year..... You have to feel for Naomi Osaka. Her fantastic achievement will no doubt be overshadowed by a controversy that she had no part of.
  15. Reading what Obama said and then thinking about who the current occupant of the White House is is enough to make you cry with frustration. Talk about polar opposites.
  16. Carl Bernstein helped take down one president, maybe he can do it a second time. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45358883
  17. If this is true..... Such incredible stupidity! So much suffering just because some f**king a**hole had his f**king feelings hurt! I hope he went straight to hell!
  18. Time to move on from La Babs for a while, and enjoy other great voices......
  19. There's not much going on here right now, and I can't say I'm surprised. The show is going through a really rough patch right now. I wonder if Lachlan really has killed Rebecca this time? It looks increasingly like it but as long there is hope.... I really don't want her to go because while she's alive she will be a constant reminder to Aaron of her affair with Robert. I know Sebastian is still around but Rebecca's presence would probably be more annoying to Aaron, and that is naturally a good thing.... I'm liking Priya more and more. I think her working for Joseph is a good direction to take. Hopefully she can become a (sharp) thorn in Debbie's side. Not that it will matter in the long run most likely, since Debbie must always come out on top, but it could be enjoyable while it lasts. Sam's big storyline was over almost before it even started. He really doesn't bring anything to the show anymore (not that he ever brought much) and he could be written out very easily and I doubt many would miss him. Same with Marlon. Of course I would preferably see other Dingles go before, but I'm not stupid and I realize that Debbie, Charity, Cain and Aaron will be around as long as they want to stay. It's funny how the returns of Robert Sugden and Joseph Tate have been so completely ruined. I was excited for both of their returns, but now they're both stuck in relationships with Dingles. Such a shame....
