  1. Can anyone let me know what exactly was going on here? It's from a 1993 Soap Opera Digest
  2. This is from an August 1995 SOD:
  3. Here you go (and he did not apologize or address it, he had Bradford Anderson go back and edit it out of the podcast later but people had already recorded it) For those that are confused, they were in Glendale. Steve basically made a joke that it was "ghetto" there so they were going to serve chicken and watermelon
  4. Victoria Rowell has a podcast coming about daytime....
  5. This is such a random question - does anyone know anything about these two scriptwriters? I know this is an old tweet but I have heard and seen Jill mention them before but there is not much out there about them
  6. Does anyone remember scenes between Amelia Marshall (Gilly) and Beverlee McKinsey? I was listening to Amelia's podcast interview and she talked a bit about her first scenes with Bev, I don't think I've ever seen those.
  7. Preachhhhhh!!!!! Viewers are complicit
  8. Totally agree. I loved Hilary but Amanda is a dud and thats mainly because they have half-assed their way through the character. I saw it happening the second she came to town with Hilary's exact face and barely anyone had a reaction.
  9. How in the world did I forget these scenes with David and Kat on GL? Was this the first time the N word was used on a soap?
  10. Rarely do I think you can credit a single writer for a couple but I think you can give MVJ almost sole responsibility for Kevin and Lucy.
  11. Usually they submit in the wrong (supporting) category because they feel they have no shot in Lead. Considering how limited the competition is and that there are only 4 soaps left I find category fraud ridiculous now. You're barely competing against anyone now (the great actors have all left and the ones who remain barely and tarely get material), the least you could do is submit in the proper category
  12. Same. I also just liked how stylish Colleen Dion's Felicia looked, down to the haircut. I absolutely believed she worked in fashion.
  13. So nice to see a Spectra-centric episode with Felicia and Stephanie thrown in. The conversation between Sally and Stephanie was so fantastic. The more I see these episodes the more I realize that I will probably not like or watch this show regularly again.
  14. I don't really like commenting on this because it feels very gross to me but I think a lot of the decisions she made regarding plastic surgery were a direct result of some things that happened in her personal life including some mental breaks. She clearly developed some type of body dysmorphic disorder. Anyway, I have to say, I quit being a regular viewer of B&B an eternity ago but I was suprised at how great she looked here in 2008:
  15. Hunter was the reason I started watching too but also loved the Spectras and Flannery. Actually, I realized the other day that I really had no use for the men on the show. I only really tolerated Ridge because of Taylor. But I loved Taylor, Stephanie, Sally, Macy, Sheila, and later Amber - the male characters I could pretty much take or leave.
  16. Has this interview ever been posted? Bill Bell and Claire Labine Interview from 1997 https://www.serialscoop.com/2014/07/bill-bell-claire-labine-on-writing.html?m=1
  17. Has anyone put the last two episodes on the OneDrive?
  18. LOL this appears to be a clear case of Bill Bell's vision still somewhat being THE vision for the show. Because what is quoted above is NOT Bradley at all. He LOVES and LIVES FOR the trash and sleaze. He clearly says he still gets story direction from his father, it seems as though this interview is more about his father's vision than his IMO. The man who wrote Deacon/Brooke and Ridge/Bridget saying going too far in terms of bad taste and sexually explicit content is not B&B? Didn't the Forrester family listen to Deacon having sex with Bridget and her losing her virginity over the phone?
  19. Gotta say, I don't think there is an actress in daytime who sold sex and seduction better than Lynn Herring. It was just effortless. I keep thinking of other actresses that could do this scene justice and deliver it without it coming off as forced or cheesy or cringe and I'm coming up blank. I know one of her Emmy nominations came from a seduction scene - it was deserved.
  20. Hey everyone, great news! Nikki N got back to me and said she has full episodes that she will put on the Onedrive (I gave her the link). She said she has a ton from 1993 that she will share. The only issue is the episodes are in a vault or stored away somewhere and it might be a month before she can get to it because of COVID-19
  21. Yes it seems so. I assume she has entire episodes because she seems to have almost every Ridge/Taylor scene - especially from 92-97 or so. Unless she found someone who does Taylor and Ridge edits? I sent her a note on YT, sometimes she responds. Hopefully she has some full episodes she's willing to contribute to the vault. I still wish we had dates for those clips. There are so many, would love to see them in some kind of order
