The Karl poop fake out in particular has been an awful storyline. I've heard people defend it because it's apparently 'based on something in the news' but I don't think that makes it any better. The Toadie/Mel/Terese/Paul thing is just devoid of any genuine character moments which makes it suck. I wish there was some more eye candy in the show.

Yeah, that sounds about right. EE's last compelling period ended after the Lucy saga around 2016.

I'm really behind, but Yolande is pretty much singlehandedly keeping me watching this show. I'm so glad she's not just back as a regular, but really in the spotlight.

I wouldn't mind dysfunctional, but it's just the fact so many of them have been involved in murders, and some more than once. I quite like the actress who plays Suki, but wish they had been written differently. I'm so glad Yolande's back, she should never have been axed back in 2008.

The Panesars are awful and need to be written out. They're so unlikeable with all this murdering etc.

I watched 1995 recently and really enjoyed the Flakey the Clown story, a quintessential Neighbours plot. RIP Brian.

Alice Horton is one of my favourite characters, I wish there were more clips of her online. I like that they chose to do a flashback episode. How is the show performing on streaming?

I've pretty much quit the show. I no longer enjoy it and find it depressing. I think it might have been The Six storyline that killed the show for me.

Yep, I can't stand Toadie and Mel together. I'm liking them together. It's a shame they're going back in the Toadie/Mel direction when it doesn't work.

Got a tear in my eye earlier listening to this song. It's one of my favourite workout songs and I've known it for years but it really resonated with me today. It's only one lyric on repeat but it hits hard when you're feeling it. If every day goes like this how do we survive? You're working late on the night shift to get peace of mind The short version is the first video, but I'd really listen to the second video to get the full effect of the song, even though it's 7 minutes long. Your best option is to watch the free episodes with a VPN before they drop off the catalogue, but I understand this is a very regimented way of watching it. I've been having trouble watching too and basically given up, but it seems easier to watch if you use the free version. It used to be a lot easier to watch GZSZ.

Yes, although it's not a soap in the traditional format, as it has guest characters in every episode. It is technically a soap though.

I personally wouldn't consider Holby City, Casualty or Doctors to be soaps, they're all medical dramas, with Doctors perhaps being the most soapy of the 3. I can't see EastEnders going anywhere.

The thing is, Doctors has only ever been a daytime medical drama and has never really been a mainstream tv show. I do think it's a shame though.

Jason Herbison said in an interview (I can't remember which) that there wouldn't be any seasonal breaks.
