Murray is hot, although I also have to say I enjoyed Orlagh Cassidy's work as Doris and her managing to stay to the end is one of the more interesting GL journeys of its last decade. I don't really have any interest in the others. I haven't been watching these lately as I'm not on at the right times and they also, as mentioned, tend to have a lot of technical problems. When I watched the Otalia-related one, part of it, I had to stop because of the errors being so grating. At first I thought you meant Elvera, Denise, etc. and I was like - don't hold back, lol.

If Trump loses it will be narrowly. He is a cult figure and a symbol to many of his supporters, not a politician. He is permission to give into their worst impulses.

@Vee I think Roger is killed off (in a plane crash? I don't know). Merrill left, I guess with her affair with Roger ending badly, for a new job - the real reason being, notoriously, the bosses being mad that Patricia Kalember cut her hair. Ann stays on until 1988 or 1989. Her biggest story by the end is probably her triangle with Gwyn over Ava's ne'er-do-well Uncle Harry. Clay arrives sometime in 1987. If you ever have time to kill, there are blocks of Jack and Stacey clips from their 1987/88 breakup that aren't all available in the individual episodes.

HBO Max: Head of the Class reboot
Unless this has Robin Givens or Howard Hesseman I'm not that interested.

I see what you mean, but Ruth tried to bring a certain camp to the role from the start, it's just Agnes Nixon intervened for a while.

I'd say there was a high degree of camp in Phoebe.

That's what the voter suppression is for, I suppose; hopefully they won't be as successful as they were in 2016 on that front.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

I've seen some 'liberal' pundits saying this is a losing strategy for Trump to focus on Obama, but much of his base operates on racism and hate, and many on the left who are still pining for Bernie also operate on racism. Sadly the pivot to making it all about Obama will help maintain the turnout the GOP had from 2010-2016.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
If I remember correctly (I may be wrong), there was some strike stuff that Long had not ever planned for regarding the origins of Sonni/Solita, which is another reason the whole thing was so confusing for people. Years later Robert Newman said people still asked him to explain the story to them. Was it the strike people who made Alexandra befriend her, or was that always planned? I don't remember how long it lasted after Long returned. I think I read that if Forbes had stayed, they would have paired her with Roger.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I'm glad they are both up to doing this. I hope I will get to be on to see it.- Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Two more clips from this episode are up. From one of the previous clips it looks like the day was February 2 or February 3, 1994? Is that right?- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Back in SPW's mammoth "best of soaps" issue from '97, they mentioned a scene at the conclusion of the Henry Lange story which showed Henry about to abuse Angel, then flashed back from within that to Henry's mother about to abuse him. Is that episode on Youtube now, with all the recent 1991 uploads?- All My Children Tribute Thread
Cecily is a lot of fun in the 1988 episodes I watched a few years back. I especially enjoyed the strike (?) material with Hillary, Cecily, and the cute cop who would later run over Laura. She's a spark plug character.- GH: Classic Thread

I hate these people.- Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Those Germany photos surprise me as generally I think of them of having a populace much less prone to mob mentality (in recent years). I guess money wins out, and eventually lockdowns lead to breakdowns...and I imagine as in the US, it's mainly white conservative voices speaking up.- The Politics Thread
More coverups and failed backtracking about her fraud. - The Politics Thread
