ANOTHER WORLD 137 Jake confronts Stacey
Great chapter, lots of cliffhangers. Nice that you gave Morgan a happy ending with Brett. Emma is fascinating so far. I guess she's the gatekeeper.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
An American soap did a male rape story a few years ago. This Hollyoaks version is basically shock value, so it's tough to compare.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
It aired in primetime. Remember when Hollyoaks wanted us to sympathize with victims and not victimizers?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
What they need to do is face why the show has been stagnant for two seasons, and cut out the bad. I'd say get rid of everyone but Kyle and Lisa, and maybe Joyce. The current show is suffocating and tattered to pieces, a bizarre combination. I do think that the cheesy connections to bygone stardom are the most fascinating part of Kim, and I wish the show would do more with that. Frankly, I think showing more of those autograph sessions and reunions would be more interesting than a lot of the drama the show has been selling this season.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Linda Cook's sister released a tribute for her about a year ago. Included is about five minutes of Egypt scenes, including Egypt's very first scene. Primetime clips of Linda, home movies, and some moving interviews with her toward the end of her life.

Someone with the name Todd McDurmont (not sure they're the actor who played Todd Jones, but they might be) has been uploading some clips of Todd, including a promo I hadn't seen before, and some early scenes with Todd and Egypt.

I never knew that Brooke and Nina were best friends. When did that start exactly? Cliff accusing Nina of being manipulative like Palmer is interesting. I wish they'd gone somewhere with this idea. I never knew Barbara and Matt interacted. Julie feeling trapped and isolated in Pine Valley after her adventures in New York is a great story, or potentially a great story, but Julie's so wan, it's tough to connect. I do think the dialogue in the scene with Nico is first rate. Love seeing Phoebe snap at Adam. Barbara is just a huge vile bitch. Unbelievable. She does her best to taunt Erica into having a miscarriage when Erica won't play along with her. The Nick/Mona scenes are just beautiful. Nick saying he's still in love with Erica and probably always will be. They had such a fascinating relationship. I wish it had had closure on the show in those last years. Love seeing Nina sparring with Pilar. "Which husband?" There's pure ice under all the sweetness and good manners. I wish we could see more of it. So that's Cliff's house? I thought it was the boarding house. Oh well. Phoebe's plot is a good filler story. Fun.- Y&R: Old Articles

Which is why her no longer talking about one of the main ones makes me wonder where she thinks her audience is. Talking about Carlton's hex won't have the same appeal, surely.- Y&R: Old Articles
I can't say I've seen this huge fire and personality in Eileen's Ashley, in the limited 80s material I've seen. She's very brittle. It works, but I don't think it damaged the Ashley character when they changed her for Brenda. It's not as if the material got any better when Eileen returned.- The Wendy Williams Thread
Considering her airing all that dirty laundry about her son I'm surprised she's now too high brow for these shows. Reminds me of when Rosie got a big ego.- Y&R: Old Articles

One of the problems is most of the drama Brandi brings is somewhat nasty for TV, and drags people down. Unless she gets a lot of help I would show her the door. - All My Children Tribute Thread
