  1. Nice to "see" GL and EON. As said above, great to see the softer side of Iris. You do a good job of weaving Matt into these scenes. Is he having a problem with his daughter? Nice to see Grant trying to be a concerned father.
  2. Krista Allen will be guest starring on Mistresses. http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/02/mistresses-season-2-casting-news-krista.html
  3. People have been saying that about Nene from the minute the scenes aired. If anything Kenya saying it might have made some believe it less, just seen it as a taunt. Nene reacting that way doesn't do her any favors.
  4. I think with different hair I'd have a different opinion. I've heard people say he's better looking than Jax, or that Jax is too old, etc. but I think Jax has better hair and I prefer the scruff. When I looked for Jax in Google one of the top searches was pregnant...
  5. Well a few days ago I posted a status update about Robert Hays (when he was on Angie)...it wasn't up very long though. In terms of how guys look on a lot of TV shows and movies today, they don't appeal to me. I prefer older styles. All the endless gel and oversized chests/weird-shaped bodies, waxing issues, tanning, etc. don't work for me. There are guys in real life I find attractive, but no real point in talking about them on an entertainment board. And there are guys I think are attractive who are on shows that are never spoken about here. Or shows you don't watch so you don't read those threads. On shows that we both watch - Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Chad Coleman...I don't like him as an actor but I don't think Roger Howarth looks that awful either. Scott Clifton. Mark Lawson, wherever he is now. I guess we've gone totally off topic. Still don't think Tom is good looking though, sorry.
  6. I have a feeling they may have decided they shouldn't post full episodes, perhaps for copyright reasons.
  7. That Tom guy is right about Brandi's face, but considering that he looks like a combo of Eraserhead and that servant from Rocky Horror, he has no room to talk.
  8. Yet another Republican running for governor in Illinois seems to be in a mess (the last one was a guy who got a ton of [!@#$%^&*] for being against raising the minimum wage - he actually wanted to CUT the minimum wage in Illinois). Pat Quinn is very lucky. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/rutherford-travel-illinois That complaint includes: "You just said no to the Treasurer." Wow.
  9. It really was. And Colleen modeling it in SOD (magazines don't do that now, but then who cares about weddings on soaps now anyway) made it even better. My favorite part of that wedding was when Hal was so flustered he could barely finish his vows.
  10. To me maintenance isn't necessarily replacing people as much as it's keeping watch on tone and storylines. Atlanta seems to have done a better job at this than most of the shows, especially this season. RHOBH seems to have all their storylines take place offcamera. It's strange.
  11. I don't think Ramona's is that bad. The awful music and leaden delivery (is this the finished product??) drag them down. Beyond Carole, the worst is that Kristen woman. The "holla..." makes me cringe, but then that's the word, I guess, I cringe at it quite a bit. The delivery doesn't help.
  12. "Proper maintenance" interests me, because it seems like RHOBH has had no maintenance at all. I still wonder what goes on there. Atlanta and OC both seem to have more. New York, to a degree, I guess. I don't really watch any of Miami so I don't know. Speaking of OC, apparently Jeana's daughter Kara got married recently. I think it was a somewhat low-key (by Housewife standards) wedding as her husband got cut from his team.
  13. I'm torn between thinking that's real (since we've probably all known people like this in life) and thinking it's done for TV. It's just a little...forced. Of course maybe it's real but Joyce is doing that because she knows it might get TV time. I have to admit I'm jaded because I'm not sure a real person would be using Phaedra's Christmas Elf workout video.
  14. I think Long was gone for that story, yes, although she must have had the initial idea. I haven't seen enough of 1985 GL to comment, but everything is so relentlessly hyped up, like everyone was doing lines before taping, that it can be tough to stomach at some points. My opinion on Kyle tends to vary based on what he's doing at the time. I think the worst part was just that there was no longer any foundation for the show. I haven't seen enough of Marland's GL either. I think parts of it work very well. I really enjoy the Quint/Nola stuff, even if it's sort of its own show and probably couldn't have lasted long-term even with Marland. And I think he had some good ideas with certain characters. It's just that there's a weird fight between heavy boredom and outbursts of high camp. I also think the younger women on the show were by and large too placid in that period.
  15. When did she go to GL?
  16. I agree with Ann. So great to see you post here, JA. And it's always nice to see more Rick fans. Sometimes I think there are few of us. Michonne has been around since the start of season 3. (seen in shadow in the season 2 finale) A few interviews. http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2014/02/qa-danai-gurira-michonne/#more-906211477 http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/02/09/walking-dead-robert-kirkman-midseason-premiere/ Danai, Andrew, and Norman Reedus are each on a TV Guide cover (the whole "we want you to buy all three to get us more money" gimmick). It's nice to see them getting such recognition, at least.
  17. Thanks. I am slowly watching the 6 hour clip. I got up to around that part, and the heartbreaking scene where Brooke told Adam about her rape. I was shocked the show even remembered. The more I see of that period the sorrier I am that Lorraine Broderick was let go. Do you have any other 1987 or 1988 that you will eventually be able to upload?
  18. I had a question about the Damon Lazarre story. The episodes from early October 1987 had Travis storming in to save Erica and Silver, then he was captured, Erica was trying to free herself, etc. How did this lead up to Lazarre having Thanksgiving dinner with them??
  19. Jenny McCarthy should not be allowed on any program. She is disgusting and ignorant in dangerous ways.
  20. Not yet. I think that's a month or so off.
  21. I think VPR may be one of those shows that gets attention briefly, a year or two, and then people get bored and move on. ROBH is something that with proper care could have been a flagship for the channel. I get the feeling Andy Cohen or whoever else was thrown by everything going on behind the scenes (with Russell and Taylor, then with Brandi vs. Adrianne and Adrianne vs. Bravo) and lost all track of the show. They banked too much on Brandi instead of being more cautious with her, they fumbled in casting for new people, they didn't do enough to stop the main relationships on the show from floundering, and there are a lot of people who are just very stiff and difficult to watch on TV (Yolanda, Kyle). I also think Lisa is someone who is best served when not overexposed.
  22. Poor Margo. The whole story with Duncan/Shannon/Brian is just so silly, it's tough to care. Brian hissing about how Duncan is "blowing up bridges" - bad dialogue. I'm glad they decided to keep Casey and Frannie as friends. They work so much better this way. That Iva/Seth scene was gutwrenching. I'd never seen the moment where she told Seth some of the details. Phenomenal performance from Lisa Brown. Such shame and pain. Lucinda's scheming, especially the story to make the Snyders look like poor trash she's going to deign to visit, is delicious fun in comparison. I can see why Lucinda was such a fan favorite at the time - she's a bright spark in often somber (and as the years passed under Marland, increasingly somber) plotlines.
  23. Thanks. Great work. You really nail Mitch's speech patterns. And protective Cass. I love that. I can so see him reacting this way. Matthew coming by to visit his father. Wonderful all around. You may want to correct the part about Grant and Paulina 'walk approach' the others.
  24. Knots promo at about 8:48.
