  1. Cute little Falcon Crest promo at about 37 minutes. It's nice to see something so fun as the promos for this show were often heavy. Jane Wyman seems to be having a ball.
  2. Emmerdale spoiler. If people want to talk about it out of the tags that's fine too as this board isn't exactly Emmerdale central.
  3. I don't think Rick is presented as the best leader ever. I think he screws up a lot, but most of the others know they probably wouldn't do any better. In that world there are few easy answers. Article about why it's important that TWD has episodes just focusing on a few characters. I don't entirely agree with this, as I think a lot of the split episodes don't work unless they have people we care about, but I do agree that sometimes it's better not to feel you need to fit every character into an episode. Last night was much more powerful for only focusing on three. http://www.forbes.com/sites/merrillbarr/2014/02/10/the-one-thing-hollywood-should-be-learning-from-amcs-the-walking-dead/
  4. I think a lot of people will always see Rick as weak, but there isn't much to be done about that at this point. I like that Rick has flaws and can show vulnerability and emotion. That's rare for a lead male character. If people would rather have Daryl, they're welcome to him; I'll keep Rick.
  5. I wonder if they got any criticism for a story where a woman has a mastectomy and ends up being driven to madness.
  6. I was a little surprised she implied Nene was on drugs, but perhaps she figured since some fans have said this she might as well say it too. I don't think she's very good at the cute comebacks, but I did like this part. I also think it's very accurate, not just of Nene, but of a lot of women who make these types of comments (often with the support and love of many gay men...): "I was really disgusted by that. It was really disgusting to watch someone that's built her entire career off of copying gay men's lingo for her to make such defamatory and humiliating remarks. I think it was uncalled for and it's no place to gay bash. We're a show that loves gay people, obviously. Some of my best friends are gay. How does it matter what someone's sexuality is whether they got beat up or not. What does that have to do with anything? It was completely uncalled for and I was quite disturbed by those remarks."
  7. I would assume most of the negativity would go where Andy Cohen directs it. If he still loves Nene and wants to cling to what's left of his control over the franchise, he will support her. Since Phaedra is already in hot water he may just cut her loose. I guess he likes Kenya, but then he liked her last year too and she was still flayed alive at the reunion.
  8. This is a February 1991 Weekly.
  9. February 1976 Daytime TV
  10. March/April 1982 Daytime Digest.
  11. June 1954 TV Radio Mirror
  12. I think he left to focus more on his stage career.
  13. Thanks for finding that. I have a full color version that I posted a few years ago. It's at the bottom of page 5. http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/38608-amc-articles-interviews-behind-the-scenes/page-5
  14. I think that to some people, gay men are purses, or accessories. And when you become famous enough, or not necessarily famous, but think you're liked enough by the gay people around you, then you can say what you want, because of course you don't mean it that way and of course they know that. You become, in your mind, protected, and above anything else. It doesn't help that a lot of gay men are very homophobic and encourage this type of attitude. This is one of the reasons I'm always wary of the whole pet gay that so many women on these shows tend to have. It's dehumanizing. I don't think she is homophobic, but I think she needs to go back and watch some of what she has said and realize how it comes across.
  15. Capitol promo at 26 minutes.
  16. Thanks. I think Mike and Linda were a couple at Julie and Doug's wedding, so there might have been something going on. Had the story about his thinking he might be gay already finished by the time this story began airing (the one about the baby)?
  17. The show ended with Chris pushing about Rick/Michonne and Danai pointing out that Rick can be a BAMF, he's not weak. Now that's how you close out a show.
  18. I wish I cared about Daryl at this point. I don't hate him, I just don't care.
  19. I can't believe he said that about that odd looking flashlight. This is one of those nights I'm wondering if they're going to get FCC complaints from stupid people.
  20. It's just so weird because she was on the panel at Comicon last year. I wonder if anyone will ever tell us why they won't have her on.
  21. Yay, someone had the sense to change that line from that fool Dale to Shane. That really made the line stand out and hurt. It's so nice to get to hear so much insight and character definition and awesome questions, and not annoying standups trying to get a laugh line. (I do miss Yvette Nicole Brown though)
  22. I posted the full cast photo of that a few years ago. Both pages. It's somewhere on here if anyone wants me to try to find it. I think that was 1975 or 1976.
  23. I was kind of annoyed by Chris when I first started watching Talking Dead last year, but I really like him as a host now. He's very underrated. He handles so much with such aplomb.
  24. This story about Danai getting to keep going on that walker kill scene is fascinating.
