Thanks for the correction about the tweet. Yolanda is a very cold woman in general, even her reactions with her "king." I don't think we will ever know the real her, or that most of the people in her life do. I feel like her time on the show is winding down. There's a great deal of face-saving going on with her, all very calculated, and it comes to a point where there is no face left. I can see why she distanced herself from Brandi - who wouldn't? - but all the talk about earning a friendship, it was not necessary, and I think it's backfired on her now because this ideal friendship circle she had sort of fell apart. Lisa is the only one who knows how to walk this tightrope. She's lucky that Brandi imploded, but even then, she's a masterclass in how to get out of these situations intact.

Get ready for the media to do handstands over Cathy McMorris Rodgers as she gives the SOTU response tonight. Huckabee and his ilk have once again shown the true colors of the GOP and their hatred of women, so the media need to make her a star to hide that belly of the beast. I kind of wonder if they may drop Yolanda after this season. I wonder if they may drop most of them. I could see them keeping Kyle, Lisa, maybe Joyce. They should drop Brandi IMO but I don't think they will.

If she is actually going to do this, then I wish her luck, I'm just wary of these stories on reality shows. They often feel like someone having a child to stay on TV.

I'm not sure if asking about a tattoo is a jab at her religion. If she doesn't like Kyle, that's fine, Kyle is phony, but I don't see this great attack against Carlton's beliefs. If she has to say Kyle is attacking her in her dreams, then I don't think that is on Kyle.

I can see why she wouldn't like them, but there's this constant persona of defensiveness with her. She's like a parody of one of those people who goes around constantly saying, "Don't judge me!" I feel like there's this whole life she's built in her mind, which is her right, but it doesn't translate that well onscreen, to me anyway.

Yolanda implied that she and Brandi weren't superclose friends. Brandi was upset by this. Gigi initially tweeted support for Brandi but then deleted it because she said she thought Brandi's reaction was OTT. I think Yolanda also tweeted Brandi asking for her to honor her child's privacy, or something. Carlton to me seems like she's constantly looking for reasons to be offended. I think she went into the season knowing who she wanted to side with and the rest is just default.

Diane Franklin, who played Betsy's scheming "friend" in some 1979 ATWT episodes, and went on to a film career, was on RHOBH last night.

What Brandi doesn't get is that Yolanda is very much about appearances. She has to be the perfect hostess, the perfect wife, the perfect mother, the perfect woman. In that sense, Brandi is lucky Yolanda even considers her a friend at all at this point.

I thought the show was disjointed and way too focused on the wrong characters (and wrote them in a bizarre manner that almost seemed designed to make fans hate them). FMB's issues with Liz Hubbard bothered me a lot too. I guess they could have been worse - Goutman. It's a shame, because with a better producer, and P&G being more supportive, Broderick might have been decent. That's FMB with Hastings and Hays. The guy behind Hal is Alec, Eddie's father. Michael Woods.

Well I guess the article is trying to be cheery. It's poorly written in general. "dangles the carrot in front of us instead of shoving it down our throats" produces some unfortunate mental images. I didn't know so many of the one-year wonders on ATWT at that point had been in a cast photo. Seeing Valerie Perrine in a cast photo is odd.

I don't think she'd knowingly do it, but I meant, would Peter have gotten her name involved, since he seems irresponsible.

If Peter is involved in this I wonder if that's why Cynthia is so on edge, if she is worried her name is in it.

I didn't realize that was Evan's exit. I thought he just left town for a job. I wonder if they originally planned to kill Spencer then changed their mind. They should have just killed him.

Thanks. So the current material is on DVD? I own the DVD but haven't watched most of it yet. You may be right, although they've been uploading so much late 79/early 80 ATWT, I just assumed they had that of GL too.

I saw people saying they were flipping back and forth, but I don't know. It's interesting that Nene says the edit is against her. I wonder if she feels crowded out now that Andy Cohen isn't in charge.

Going against the Grammys I'm not sure what the ratings would be.

I would guess that's one of the reasons she's coming back at all. (Elisabeth not being there) Everything about this show feels so dated.
