  1. Thank you! I will watch this later today. I'm likely the only person in the world who is fascinated by strike material.
  2. Poor Glenn can't catch a break.
  3. It's such a refreshing contrast to their relationship from the early 90s on, where he huffs and she sees him as bad and untrustworthy, and then sometimes they change around, but usually end up back as square one.
  4. Love the beauty shot at the end. This makes me sad for what Brooke and Adam became later on. She's so genuinely happy to see him and they actually talk about feelings and emotions. He's actually trying to change as a person. Great to see Louise Shaffer and Charles Keating. The part where Travis closes the dead bodyguard's eyes is a little chilling. Love Erica spending her scenes trying to help zonked out Silver, then getting out of there while she still can. (poor Susan struggling to get that grating on). Is it me or is Susan's hair longer than usual here? Silver seems so wan. I wonder if she was any better when she wasn't being hypnotized. Was that guy with Jeremy supposed to be someone they were bringing in? Lisa Eichhorn is terrific as Elizabeth. She makes me feel so much for the character and her struggle. I wish they'd kept her around. So Angie and Jesse were separated? Why? I guess this is before Cindy found out she had HIV. Ellen Wheeler was always so good at sweet, simple emotion and performance.
  5. I finally watched that October 1989 one. Relieved to know that Leanna was trying to annoy Douglas into not wanting her. The resolution of that was touching and classy, something Y&R would not have done in later years. (and points for the muzak version of Sweet Love). I guess that's the only time Cassandra and Leanna interacted. I didn't realize the Derek rape story and Jessica's death were around the same time. I'm a little surprised Bell didn't have Jessica sacrifice her life to stop Derek. I guess he might have seen that as a copout. Right-to-die stories were so important to Bill Bell. It's a shame later soap writers made them a mockery. I had to laugh at that club dancing. Poor Esther though. So she was only a month or two pregnant when she was kidnapped. Such beautiful man tears from Doug Davidson as he stood outside of the Williams house.
  6. I think Jill had already been going the psycho way for quite a while, so it didn't bother me too much, although I didn't think the ending of the story was that good (and it felt abruptly wrapped-up). I do wish they'd explored more of her relationship with Sumner. Given her relationship and breakup with Ted Shackelford, I'm not sure if she would have stayed on the show anyway.
  7. Another Teri Austin commercial.
  8. This will allow the big cable and phone companies to destroy much of what you may use the Internet for. http://www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconsidered/2014/01/14/262454310/feds-cant-enforce-net-neutrality-what-this-means-for-you
  9. Disturbing article about all the effort put into these Olympics, including reportedly demolishing homes without knowing if anyone is in them. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/01/vlamidir-putin-sochi-olympics-102342.html
  10. The beginning of Marc Wolf's second and final stint as Brent Lawrence.
  11. I'm also upset because SOS uploaded full episodes, instead of clips. There are a few other channels out there that upload full episodes, so people might want to save those while they can. I don't want to say names. If someone doesn't know, I'll take a PM. Thanks for sharing your old stuff again.
  12. I think Buzz must have shut it down once he bought Company. Actually it already seemed to be shut down once Nola ran the place.
  13. Forgot these. They should be seen before the Nick/Lisa/etc. one.
  14. Paul Raven, danfling, or saynotoursoap might be able to help, if they still post here.
  15. If anyone here knows them can they ask them to consider reuploading their Santa Barbara stuff somewhere, at least?
  16. Disgusting and pathetic. I never did get to see all their Santa Barbara stuff. They were one of the main ones on Youtube. CBS sucks ass.
  17. Another great example of how the Beltway gushes over their own. Embarrassing. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2014/01/ed-gillespies-first-campaign-video-is-a-political-consultants-dream/
  18. Thank you both.
  19. I love the John/Kim scene in this. It sums up so much of their relationship - hothead John, Kim keeping him under control. Oof that Dani was annoying and weird.
  20. I've seen a lot of this April material (the prison break, April going back to her childhood home, the flashbacks) before, through saynotoursoap, but this upload has a scene I always REALLY wanted to see, but never had. It's when April goes to the grave where she insisted she'd seen her name. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anTnDzgcZ88
  21. From what I remember, Tom cut ties with Lisa because during John's malpractice trial, her lawyer called Margo to the stand and dragged her through the mud, or called Tom and made him drag her through the mud, or something. I'm not sure what was going on with Dani either. She was presented as a hellion for a while into Ashley Williams' run - there's an episode from spring 96 where Hal doesn't want her at Nikki's birthday party, and Nikki blows up (again) and says no party if Dani isn't there. Fall 95 was still a decent period for the show, with Culliton, and with Valente not allowed to do too much damage. Sadly it fell apart by January. I'm reminded again of how much Lily annoyed me...
  22. Lisa was asked about Brandi's comments and basically said they were beneath a Housewife, disgusting, and she knows humor, that's not humor. I wonder if some part of Lisa is relieved that Brandi has gone from targeting her to totally self-destructing.
