ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
That's sweet (I wish she hadn't worn those fake eyelashes). I wonder if that's the first time they've seen each other since he left ATWT.

The View
I guess to me the show was never serious. They tried, somewhat, with Meredith Viera, but even in the early days the only thing anyone remembered was that Debbie Metenopolous was dumb. It just feels like a dated and generic concept that is still on mostly because nothing else would replace it anyway.

The View
I always thought The View was derivative nonsense (and I think Baba has been a national joke for a long time), but this is another of those "don't let this show be her legacy" articles). http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/04/08/don-t-remember-barbara-walters-for-the-view.html What a surprise that she feels the show needs more right wing voices. That's what Fox News is for, Baba.

That last photo looks like one of those women who needs to recreate their prom picture 20 years later.

I also wish we could lose the bouquet. I don't mind the train. I kind of like it. It's the sleeves I don't care for. They make it look like Kandi is going to lift Excalibur at any given moment.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I haven't watched enough to say. The Max/Lucy stuff sounds like a bad joke. More DTC parodies. He has no ability to write proper soap. He never did. He will always just see Max as a walking hardon. DS makes me laugh. They are always so blatant in their biases. They fawned over DTC and Santer like they were on the payroll, and hated EE when anyone else was in charge. Now DTC is back and it's the best show ever!!! Just as Corrie was only a good show when they could shill for Collinson. No wonder their forums seem so deserted now.

HBO: Game of Thrones
If you ever get a chance you should listen to the DVD commentary for The Prince of Winterfell. Michelle Fairley and Nikolas Coster-Waldau do it and some parts are hilarious, especially their reaction to Robb's story ( repeatedly shouting "King of the North!" and arguing over whether or not Robb had managed to last longer than seven seconds when he had sex with Talisa).

That's really pretty to look at. I like the color scheme.

What do you think of Jaime's haircut? I think it makes him look more like Joffrey, although he doesn't have that New Wave highlights from hell thing going on the way Joffrey does. I just mean in the face, he looks more like Joffrey now. Do you think Cersei would be as distant toward Jaime if he still had his other hand? Is it the passage of time that has made her distant?

It almost sounds like she already has something lined up, but that's a little tough to believe. I agree that Whitney should go too. She's lucky that DTC is one of the people who brought her in.

Patsy Palmer leaving (again), for a Hollywood opportunity. I'd say cast her as Ygritte's mother on Game of Thrones. http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/patsy-palmer-quits-eastenders-move-3389815

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Some of those women look so pained and miserable. Between the one wearing the antler dress and the one beside her wearing a bedsheet, I wonder if they all have to stay in that room or they die, or something. I do like the one sitting down on the right. She reminds me of Juliet Landau.

Eww, it's Julianne. At least she left the blackface at home this time.

HBO: Game of Thrones
To me it's the same thing. What Dany saw as "freedom" was a very limited view. She thought this woman was indebted to her and didn't take the time to wonder how the woman must have felt, what she'd lost, and how that would affect who she was going to be after being "saved." If Dany had kept some of this in mind, she wouldn't have let the healer manipulate her into getting such revenge. I think Dany doesn't entirely see those she "frees" as being people (yes she believes they are people in that they shouldn't be slaves, which is wonderful, but sometimes it's as if once she "frees" them, she forgets all the complications and baggage and that it's not as easy as them just dusting themselves off). That limits her as a leader. Hopefully this will be addressed and she can learn and grow.

HBO: Game of Thrones
It's not so much her wanting to free slaves being wrong, it's the condescension in the presentation, sometimes in how she treats said people, sometimes in the writing or production itself. It's all very colonialist to me, even when it isn't intended to be. The only person I remember pointing out the emptiness of some of this "freedom" was the healer who killed Drogo and her unborn child.
