Game of Thrones isn't on Netflix Instant.

I'd never seen this and wasn't sure I'd ever see it. Toward the end of this episode, Iva reveals to Emma that she was raped by Josh, after she realizes Emma is going to have Josh come visit unless she says something. Emma then reveals that both Josh and Iva were adopted. Lisa Brown plays the guilt and the shame in such a painstaking, honest way, almost underplaying it, that it just cuts away at your insides. This type of performance is why I always felt for Iva, even if, over time, I think it took a huge toll on Lisa and some of her vibrancy as an actress. Kathleen Widdoes is also very good - again, subtle and quiet in her heartbreak. I'm sorry that this was rushed and I'm angry that this ended with that disgusting pig Holden eavesdropping so that we could be all giddy that now he could bang Lily, but that's my only complaint. GIven the subject matter I'm somewhat surprised the scenes even made it to air at all.

It always amuses me when I see people who are upset over the character that is ruining Ste. Doug, Sinead, JP. Essentially, everyone but his abuser. I wish they'd just come out and say that they don't give a [!@#$%^&*] about Ste unless Brendan is there to break his ribs out of love.

I haven't seen the season 3 credits so I wasn't sure. (are there videos documenting each change in the credits?) Mereen and that big statue of the woman (?) reminds me of Paradise Island for some reason. I've been saving the end of season 2 to finish when I have time to watch all of it plus commentary, so hopefully that will be tonight or tomorrow... I also got HBO so I could DVR the new episodes. I guess that gets me a merit badge or something.

Lots going on in this chapter, huh? I'd forgotten that Marley didn't know Michael was alive. I was afraid the shock might harm her pregnancy. I know the baby won't be named Roman Love, but the thought of it cracks me up. Wow, wasn't expecting Christy to have ties to James Stenbeck. Nice to see Toni again. KC has barely aged in 15 years...

I don't know what Kirkland expected... I have a feeling John's going to regret committing Sharlene.

Nice to see Cass supporting Charlie, although sadly, he will be proven right in his doubts. Michael is so self-righteous, I want someone to deck him. Vicky and Stacey are both really losing it. This is going to be good.

The idea of the story (minus all that mess with Reginald...which is minus a lot!) was interesting, but Kathleen leaving so soon after it started was a huge blow. Not to mention the Vince recast issues. I kind of wish they'd done an Ada/Vince/Mary triangle.

Joan on The Talk a few days ago.
