  1. Having read the article, it sounds more like a reboot instead of a continuation considering Kelly Ripa is also producing another show where she'd be the lead. I could be totally wrong about that obviously. Plus, we hear so many shows nowadays that might happen but never make it to air, like that Cruel Intentions series with SMG or the awful to think about Coach return.
  2. Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Corinthos, GH) was on last Sunday's episode of SHAMELESS. She played a girl that wasted no time in having sex with Carl. Smart girl.
  3. Indiana Film Journalists Association (IFJA) nominations were announced on Tuesday (Dec 15); they kind of just nominate everyone and will announce the winners on December 19. https://awardswatch.com/indiana-film-journalists-association-ifja-nominations-im-thinking-of-ending-things-leads-with-11/ Florida Film Critics Circle nominations were announced Wednesday (Dec 16) and winners will be announced on December 21. Why they do this? I am uncertain. Anyway, here they major categories, the rest at the link below. 4. Yesterday I learned someone I know passed away from COVID. Not anyone close to me, just someone I know (a father of a brother/sister my siblings are friends with). It's the only person that I even knew had it in the first place. Don't know why I'm posting, it's just a weird thing that makes it feel a bit more real instead of just some nuisance.
  5. As someone who hates SORAS'ing, it would have been cool if you corrected the ages of David and Mike. Like has been said by countless people, Steven could have easily taken David's place. Mike's would be more tricky, but I always envisioned Danny Grant would have been a nice substitute. But I guess that's for me to write for myself. Anyway, I do hope you find the time to re-introduce Valerie and Danny at some point. Other than some unpopular story choices, the Grants' exits are really the only big scar on the show by this point. Was Donna's friend Anne (and her mother Susan) supposed to be Anne Peters and Susan Martin Peters, who would be years into living in LA with Eric, or was it just some clumsy coincidence? Seeing Trish and Brooke/Stephanie at loggerheards with no hint from Stephanie that they were best friends is strange to me. Though, in the recaps you were posting it seemed to be an afterthought as well. I hope Steven gets a chance to become something more than a damp squid (in reference to his time on the real show). I'm rooting for Chris and Mary to reunite. The new Jordan Barr aspect with Marlena/Don was well done. It made me think that bringing in characters that we know, but putting your own spin on them could be quite fascinating. I wish ALL these classic characters could stay on the show. That's not probable, but it'll be hard to say goodbye to any of them when you feel they've come to their temporary or permanent end. All in all though, good work. It'll be great to see what you do with the big couples of Bill/Laura, Mickey/Maggie, and Doug/Julie. I'm not envious at such a task to keep those plates spinning. Remind me where Donna and Pete were in their story here. Had she even gotten pregnant yet? Already miscarried?
  6. Another little taste of a couple potential Oscar nominees comes from the nominations for the British Independent Film Awards, announced on December 9. Last year, Renee Zellweger was the sole acting or best picture nominee to carry over, but I still enjoy seeing the less spoken of talents that are being highlighted across the pond. The majority of the acting nominees are new to me. As someone who watched REVENGE, it was cool to see Ashley Madekwe nominated, and being that they are mostly newcomers to me, it's very strange to see Anthony Hopkins listed among them. Him and Riz Ahmed seem to be strong contenders so far. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Independent_Film_Awards_2020 On a more major scale, the Boston Society of Film Critics announced this year's winners. Best Film Nomadland Runner-up: First Cow Best Director Chloé Zhao - Nomadland Runner-up: Kelly Reichardt – First Cow Best Actor Anthony Hopkins - The Father Runner-up: Riz Ahmed – Sound of Metal Best Actress Sidney Flanigan - Never Rarely Sometimes Always Runner-up: Julia Garner – The Assistant Best Supporting Actor Paul Raci - Sound of Metal Runner-up: Brian Dennehy – Driveways Best Supporting Actress Youn Yuh-jung - Minari Runner-up: Amanda Seyfried – Mank Nomadland is killing it so far this year. Here's hoping we'll be able to see another female director take the award, making that a grand total of 2! A full list of winners: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Society_of_Film_Critics_Awards_2020
  7. Damn, she does not play. Thank you, that was hilarious.
  8. The first little taste of potential Oscar nominees; Awards seasons COMMENCE! Thanks for posting/all the updates Faulkner. As someone who was introduced to and loved him in The OA (gone too soon), I'm very happy and am rooting for Kingsley Ben-Adir.
  9. Decency won! Sure Kamala Harris should be PRESIDENT, but this will do nicely. Congratulations to everyone that was able to let go a huge sigh of relief. May the future be bright.
  10. It's the age old question, but this explanation suits best. For one, Kate Winograd's first name was Martha and a doctor. Though, it's just kind of annoying JER didn't make them the same character. She had spent so many years away any changes he wanted to make to her would have been easily explained. DING DING DING. Such a gleeful sh*t disturber. I love him. As far as I'm concerned him and Marie are living it up somewhere away from the losers of Salem.
  11. Same. Just from previously reading about her she is my favourite female DAYS character. My favourite male DAYS character has technically been introduced in beebs recaps, he just hasn't been mentioned by name yet.
  12. Susan Oliver is interesting to me because she apparently didn't fit as Laura, but I loved her on Peyton Place. Just a miscast, I guess.
  13. She's always returned when asked.
  14. John Clarke was only a year older than Mickey, but Ed Mallory was a decade older than Bill.
  15. No, you aren't. He's a monster. Plus, practically speaking, I'd rather he pass away than have Biden and whoever else have to waste time trying to put him away.
  16. Unfortunately, that show died a long, long time ago.
  17. Alice was more pissed because she thought Doug and Julie had an affair while Addie was dying.
  18. Thanks for the info! Kind of similar to Moe and Noelle during the Paris story. The obvious relationship difference aside.
  19. Q: I've noticed Jesse Wilde, known for marrying Becky Lee, was on the show during the same time as a character named Clover Wilde. Were they related at all or just coincidence? @slick jones I know you have both character/actors who played them in your soap hoppers so maybe you know?
  20. It's one of my favourite shows. It'd certainly be an actor's wet dream, to be able to play such deep character work. And it made me fans of so many actors in the process.
  21. I liked Tiana Benjamin so this is a double-edged sword for me. And you just know they'll throw her into an awful affair story with Jack.
  22. The only story that bothers me is the Deveraux one, and that's only because the actors playing Toby/Celeste/Mitchell are terrible. Toby and Celeste are beautiful though. Happy Mitchell is soon going to be gone. I'm a sucker for the 7 sins type of story. Convoluted? Yes. But I only started watching again, after I don't even remember how long, since the show returned from hiatus. Coming back to the show, I told myself to just go on the wild, crazy, ridiculous, sometimes cringey ride this show takes me on. I'll still have some complaints, naturally, but I'm pretty into the show. As for the drugs story, I think it's been great. Other than Victor, who has a shelf-life so I'm not too bothered, all the main actors involved are fantastic. Juliet is fascinating to watch, and Billy Price as Sid is a complete star. Bringing innocent little Ella in has me excited to see more of Mandy. I fear Ella will be the bodybag death though and if so that is one thing that absolutely will piss me off. We don't even know who her father is. I'd make it someone from the past. I don't even know who specifically, just someone. I don't even mind the Edward story either. I hate him like everyone else, but I'm supposed to hate him. I just wish they'd at least mention Victoria, Tony's mother, in all of this. And the camera loves Verity, the actress has a lot of screen presence.
  23. The Tony nominations were announced today. Eric Nelsen (AJ Chandler) got nominated for producing The Inheritance. He's already won this year's Drama Desk Award for producing it.
  24. Unfortunately, I have had to report this post for biphobia. Do better.
