Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I read the finale is on the 29th. Since Million Dollar Listing now airs before it on Tuesday I can't see them airing the reunion there. Maybe they'll air the first part before NYC premieres the first Thursday in April. Or maybe the reunion will only be one part. Either way it's looking like two more episodes and a reunion soon. I just want more Elsa and I'll be happy. She's the main draw for me. I cannot wait to see her on Watch What Happens Live this Tuesday.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I watched the first two episodes of OC. I still feel bad for missing the previous season and thus Jeana's exit, so I'm watching just in case something interesting happens. These ladies are so dull. I do find Alexis enjoyable and Tamra is a hateful, but watchable bitch. Vicki is the main draw, being the only original. Peggy and Gretchen are fairly pointless. At least Gretchen brings some snark, but this show needs a new focus. Next season I'd dump a couple and cast a DIFFERENT type. Peggy feels like more of the same.

Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
Carl I'm very connected with this show as well. I watched maybe three or four months of the AOL videos and I fell in love. There was a big gap I missed and I was waiting in hopes of catching up (because it was so good), but I never did and then they pulled all those episodes. I regret not watching everything I could at the time. This show, even when it wasn't at it's peak, is just so special. I'd love to see it from beginning to end. Unlike ATWT (which I do love), I found this shows episodes from the 50s and 60s to be so exciting and I'd love to see something from the 70s.

Adele Thread
I love, love, love her first album but haven't explored the second much yet. What I have heard is great, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad she's maintained her success and carved out a style that doesn't seem gimmicky, but organic. I like her a lot.

Falcon Crest
Emma isn't in the credits until the third season, I've always wondered why. Only the first season. She got nastier as the years progressed, but I don't think she came off too poorly since everybody had their own issues. I will say, the episode where Richard accidently punches her was absolutely classic. It was a long time coming and I love that they played that up with the characters. Nobody really felt sorry for Angela getting punched lol.

Falcon Crest
I liked Douglas and his death was fine because it paved the way for more important things. I do think that a major problem with Vicky is that she was related to Lance. It's obvious that Maggie's sister Terry was meant as a Vicky replacement and if you merge the two character it works. I thought Jamie Rose was fantastic, just stuck in a bad role. I wish she was playing the character when she returned and got equally bad stories, but meatier material to work with.

Falcon Crest
I finally bought the last season seasons and to prepare I've been re-watching. As I recalled, the first two seasons were largely a bore. Margaret Ladd is the highlight and main reason for re-watching those seasons. Season 3 was entertaining, but seemed to drag on forever and could be too plot driven for my tastes. Season four will always be my favorite season, I just hate the nazi story was dropped midseason. It was perfect and I love the way they were able to tie every character and story (even Julia's return!) into that plot. It just seemed to build and build and build and was delightful to watch. The second half is decent, but can't hold a candle. But this definitely remains one of my favorite seasons. Since I'm so excited about that final season I'm going to watch the first episode and see how it goes. I've only seen probably three or four episodes from it so I'm very curious.

Flamingo Road
I recently purchased this series along with some others and just watched the pilot movie and first episode. It's a great show so far. Very naughty and the atmosphere is very gothic and interesting so far. Love that a brothel is a major meeting point for this series. That's very daring lol. Also love that the two leads are equally bad so Constance doesn't take most of the heat as often happens with soap bad girls. At least in the beginning she's attempting to make her marriage work, it's the "hero" who is so adamant he has to have an affair with the circus girl.

Lea looks great with her hair up. That hairstyle is just so ugly and unflattering. Maybe she needs a shorter pixie cut or something.

The Salahi's are so desperate for fame/money they're going on Celeb Rehab?! For what? What a joke. http://www.tmz.com/2011/03/02/new-celebrity-rehab-with-dr-drew-cast-doc-gooden-michael-lohan/#comments-anchor

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Isn't that when Gretchen joined with the dying fiance and had the battle for the hottest housewife with Tamra? That stuff was just cartoonish and it felt like Tamra in particular was playing for the cameras to cement her place on the show. That's why I stopped following as faithfully. As superficial as they could be, I thought that original season 1-2, even 3 cast had diversity in the types of women featured and was very entertaining. Now? Just a bunch of generic blonde bimbos.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I found New Jersey extremely dull. Season one had so little going on and was building to the table flipping. Season two was just rehashing everything that happened the first season. Plus it went on far too long. I thought it was a mistake not to add an official new housewife from the start to shake up the dynamic. Kim D and G were good in their appearances, but I wish they were better weaved into the cast. And Theresa? An absolute moron. She just seems to get worse and worse and I hope with Danielle gone she'll get called out for her bad behavior in season three. It bothers me she gets a pass simply because Danielle is worse.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
With DC Andy has at least been tweeting the housewives again, Mary, Cat & Lynda. Even was with Mary (and Sonja & Countess from NYC) at fashion week. Cat did a blog for Beverly Hills on Bravotv.com and the website did a Valentine's Day feature with Mary's husband. IMO, that type of movement at least is a move in the right direction. Cat is also heading to NYC for the Inbox Full release party and Andy is going to be there. Before he was just ignoring questions about DC and the housewives themselves, so we'll see. Maybe the lack of success with Miami is helping the show. It's just a shame they're missing so much liek Stacie's snarkworthy trip to Nigeria (she was interviewed by the Nigerian Oprah lol), Mary's Label For Love fashion show and Cat's aformentioned book launch. Honestly, I do think they were way too hard on this series. The ratings for the first 3 BH episodes were lower than anything DC had and DC's first season was on par with NYC and OC. Even NJ had similar ratings for much of it's first premiere. The big problem is that it didn't build to anything anybody wanted to see. They should've minimized the Salahi's, put the white house garbage midseason and move on. I'm sure there were more interesting things to feature. They put too much stock in the Salahi's.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I noticed all the little Justin's (Ugly Betty) running around lol. The kids were the only appealing thing about Adrianna and Larsa. Larsa's baby girl is so cute. I appreciate that Adrianna and Lea both have normal looking kinda geeky kids. It's a welcome change after the brats we generally see. Amd all the kids seemed happy. Honestly, I think the hatred for Miami comes mainly because of the way it came about with the sudden NYC switch. It's not going to be full of drama, but OC and NYC weren't like that in the beginning. As long as I have interesting interactions to watch I can deal with them mostly getting along. We'll see how it goes. Just give me more Elsa and family time.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
After seeing this I don't think they pulled NYC due to a lack of drama, but to save it for a busier period for Bravo. This trashy and dull show pairs better with OC and they needed to get it out of the way. NJ is always a ratings powerhouse, so pairing it with NYC would mean a dynamite summer for Bravo. I'm sure the ratings for this show will be decent and OC will probably have strong ratings so it balances out. Overall I didn't dislike it as much as I expected to, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The opening credits and overall production values are so cheap. Everything looks cheap and rushed and poorly produced. The talking head segments are worse than the first season of OC or NYC. The casting is weak as well. Alexia is fun to look at but doesn't look too interesting. Crista doesn't even deserve to be a housewife. She is so trashy and VH1 level reality star. Larsa, Lea and Marysol look like they could be watchable on a better show. Adriana is just a boring hoochie from what I can see. Looking at the preview for the season I noticed they added nothing new which means it'll probably be quite dull. Usually the other series will promote with certain material, then add more or use different clips at the end of the first episode. The preview didn't show one actual confrontation. Some lukewarm conversations, but really nothing. It looked really dull. It'll be interesting to see how many episodes they can edit out of this. I'm guessing around 9 (like DC) with two reunion episodes. The one saving grace for me is Elsa. She should be an official housewife and I too, cannot wait for her to appear on WWHL. Her accent, her beautiful face, everything. She's the main reason I'm tuning in.

Britney Spears Thread
I thought she was horrendous on her Circus tour. Just walking around with very minimal dancing which is shameful considering how lazy her lip synching is. This new song and video don't work at all for me. The song if released by anybody else would be a mega flop and Britney no longer has anything interesting to offer. No personality. No Voice. Can't dance. What is the point?

Generations Discussion Thread
I have the first week or two on DVD and I found it decent but very stereotypical in places. I don't mean the race-related stuff, but the storylines in general. The cheesy heroine getting mugged, then letting a stranger in her apartment the next day. That poorly executed soap-within-a-soap. Patricia Crowley (who sucked as a matriach) narrating the past in such a boring way. I try to force myself to like it but IDK. Since it's one of the few soaps available almost entirely I may attempt to collect it and see how it goes overtime. I still haven't met Doreen for example or seen the character Debbi Morgan eventually played. I also tried to collect Port Charles but that show was so damned boring I had to give it up.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NYC's ratings in season one were similar to DC. It still isn't huge, more in the 2.5 mil range than BH is at, but it's gotten much bigger over time. Especially with that third season. Didn't they have a three part reunion plus a lost footage? I just recall that season going on forever (in a good way). Maybe the second longest behind the current season of ATL.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Rating for OC too high to dump it. The rank of ratings is NJ>ATL>OC>NYC>BH>DC. I thought OC was good the first three seasons then that fourth season began and it was like a new era of housewives and became very phony and fake. Tamra is unbearable to watch and so is Gretchen.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
TweetMaxine, the outlandish Bravo gossip hound is back. I've always enjoyed her, but she seemed to go off the deep end a few months ago and still is. Some of the stuff she says has turned out true, but she always goes over the top which makes me question her. Like right now she's saying DC (with only Michaele and Lynda returning) won't be back until 2012 which makes no sense. She also says they're considering combining NYC/NJ and BH/OC. That makes no sense considering how high the ratings are for each series. One thing she said that is probably true is that Miami is a disaster. As we know it was only branded a HW series after filming in an effort to salvage the footage. Considering how rushed it is I'm not expecting much. You can tell Bravo didn't put much money into converting the series. I wonder if it'll even be in HD. She also says they're considering scrapping NYC and starting over. So far Bravo says that filming has wrapped and they aren't doing reshoots. I think they're just gonna pull a DC and edit the hell out of it to make it work. They should consider cutting the number of episodes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yea DC's ratings kept going up and the reunion did well. It's ratings were on par with BH, which admittedly got bigger towards the end, but still is nowhere near NJ or ATL. I also think DC had a lot working against it with the Salahi mess putting the series on hold for well over a year. They also had to change storylines and re-edit to set that story up. I think had the season gone as planned with the Ericka/Cat drama better developed (and earlier in the season) ratings would've been higher. Then they could've done the original end to the season with Mary's Label of Love fashion show.

Kim was my fave. I can't wait to see Kyle and Taylor taken down a next season. A boy can hope! I also wonder if the rumors of Camille on NYC are true? Honestly, if things are so bad on NYC they need to just add Cat from DC. She called into Watch What Happens Live and is in New York right now.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They have one white chick with Lea and Larsa is Lebanese so she isn't latin at all. Watching all those interviews on the website I can't get over how poorlit lit and set up those interview segments are. I guess this must've been filmed by a first time Housewives company. GOing back to NYC, it seems once the premiere was screened Bravo saw how dull it was. I'm confused. The show premies in two weeks and you just now figure this out? They should've screened at least half a season by now. Knowing Bethanny was leaving IDK why they didn't bring out the big guns. This new girl (who is hardly featured in the promo) seems like a surefire bust. And Kelly is useless. I'm curious to see how good or bad the show really is when it returns.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I understand NYC is still filming, but I assume it's wrapping soon right? Considering the premiere is so close, they must have several episodes in the can, hell the majority of the season. If things weren't going well they should've never announced it's return. They knew Miami was on deck, as well as New Jersey. Not only that, but the promo campaign was pretty substantial. This is *very* sloppy. Looking at Miami, it looks as bad as I expected. I never was excited about the cast and it looks like I was right. I'm sure it'll be watchable, but overall it seems boring and the production values are horrendous. It looks worse than the first seasons of OC/NYC. The interview segments look rushed and cheap. The photoshoot is cheap and I'm sure the opening credits will suck as well. The entire series just seems like a second rate rip off more than a true spin-off. I can't wait to actually see how it turns out. OC fell out of favor with me so this sucks. I am stuck with two HWs series I don't really love. And my dear DC still hasn't been greenlit. Hopefully Cat and Andy's meeting this week will help spark things. A boy can hope.
