  1. I noticed all the little Justin's (Ugly Betty) running around lol. The kids were the only appealing thing about Adrianna and Larsa. Larsa's baby girl is so cute. I appreciate that Adrianna and Lea both have normal looking kinda geeky kids. It's a welcome change after the brats we generally see. Amd all the kids seemed happy. Honestly, I think the hatred for Miami comes mainly because of the way it came about with the sudden NYC switch. It's not going to be full of drama, but OC and NYC weren't like that in the beginning. As long as I have interesting interactions to watch I can deal with them mostly getting along. We'll see how it goes. Just give me more Elsa and family time.
  2. After seeing this I don't think they pulled NYC due to a lack of drama, but to save it for a busier period for Bravo. This trashy and dull show pairs better with OC and they needed to get it out of the way. NJ is always a ratings powerhouse, so pairing it with NYC would mean a dynamite summer for Bravo. I'm sure the ratings for this show will be decent and OC will probably have strong ratings so it balances out. Overall I didn't dislike it as much as I expected to, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The opening credits and overall production values are so cheap. Everything looks cheap and rushed and poorly produced. The talking head segments are worse than the first season of OC or NYC. The casting is weak as well. Alexia is fun to look at but doesn't look too interesting. Crista doesn't even deserve to be a housewife. She is so trashy and VH1 level reality star. Larsa, Lea and Marysol look like they could be watchable on a better show. Adriana is just a boring hoochie from what I can see. Looking at the preview for the season I noticed they added nothing new which means it'll probably be quite dull. Usually the other series will promote with certain material, then add more or use different clips at the end of the first episode. The preview didn't show one actual confrontation. Some lukewarm conversations, but really nothing. It looked really dull. It'll be interesting to see how many episodes they can edit out of this. I'm guessing around 9 (like DC) with two reunion episodes. The one saving grace for me is Elsa. She should be an official housewife and I too, cannot wait for her to appear on WWHL. Her accent, her beautiful face, everything. She's the main reason I'm tuning in.
  3. I thought she was horrendous on her Circus tour. Just walking around with very minimal dancing which is shameful considering how lazy her lip synching is. This new song and video don't work at all for me. The song if released by anybody else would be a mega flop and Britney no longer has anything interesting to offer. No personality. No Voice. Can't dance. What is the point?
  4. I have the first week or two on DVD and I found it decent but very stereotypical in places. I don't mean the race-related stuff, but the storylines in general. The cheesy heroine getting mugged, then letting a stranger in her apartment the next day. That poorly executed soap-within-a-soap. Patricia Crowley (who sucked as a matriach) narrating the past in such a boring way. I try to force myself to like it but IDK. Since it's one of the few soaps available almost entirely I may attempt to collect it and see how it goes overtime. I still haven't met Doreen for example or seen the character Debbi Morgan eventually played. I also tried to collect Port Charles but that show was so damned boring I had to give it up.
  5. NYC's ratings in season one were similar to DC. It still isn't huge, more in the 2.5 mil range than BH is at, but it's gotten much bigger over time. Especially with that third season. Didn't they have a three part reunion plus a lost footage? I just recall that season going on forever (in a good way). Maybe the second longest behind the current season of ATL.
  6. Rating for OC too high to dump it. The rank of ratings is NJ>ATL>OC>NYC>BH>DC. I thought OC was good the first three seasons then that fourth season began and it was like a new era of housewives and became very phony and fake. Tamra is unbearable to watch and so is Gretchen.
  7. TweetMaxine, the outlandish Bravo gossip hound is back. I've always enjoyed her, but she seemed to go off the deep end a few months ago and still is. Some of the stuff she says has turned out true, but she always goes over the top which makes me question her. Like right now she's saying DC (with only Michaele and Lynda returning) won't be back until 2012 which makes no sense. She also says they're considering combining NYC/NJ and BH/OC. That makes no sense considering how high the ratings are for each series. One thing she said that is probably true is that Miami is a disaster. As we know it was only branded a HW series after filming in an effort to salvage the footage. Considering how rushed it is I'm not expecting much. You can tell Bravo didn't put much money into converting the series. I wonder if it'll even be in HD. She also says they're considering scrapping NYC and starting over. So far Bravo says that filming has wrapped and they aren't doing reshoots. I think they're just gonna pull a DC and edit the hell out of it to make it work. They should consider cutting the number of episodes.
  8. Yea DC's ratings kept going up and the reunion did well. It's ratings were on par with BH, which admittedly got bigger towards the end, but still is nowhere near NJ or ATL. I also think DC had a lot working against it with the Salahi mess putting the series on hold for well over a year. They also had to change storylines and re-edit to set that story up. I think had the season gone as planned with the Ericka/Cat drama better developed (and earlier in the season) ratings would've been higher. Then they could've done the original end to the season with Mary's Label of Love fashion show.
  9. Kim was my fave. I can't wait to see Kyle and Taylor taken down a next season. A boy can hope! I also wonder if the rumors of Camille on NYC are true? Honestly, if things are so bad on NYC they need to just add Cat from DC. She called into Watch What Happens Live and is in New York right now.
  10. They have one white chick with Lea and Larsa is Lebanese so she isn't latin at all. Watching all those interviews on the website I can't get over how poorlit lit and set up those interview segments are. I guess this must've been filmed by a first time Housewives company. GOing back to NYC, it seems once the premiere was screened Bravo saw how dull it was. I'm confused. The show premies in two weeks and you just now figure this out? They should've screened at least half a season by now. Knowing Bethanny was leaving IDK why they didn't bring out the big guns. This new girl (who is hardly featured in the promo) seems like a surefire bust. And Kelly is useless. I'm curious to see how good or bad the show really is when it returns.
  11. The Bravo website has lots of Miami videos: http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-miami/season-1
  12. I understand NYC is still filming, but I assume it's wrapping soon right? Considering the premiere is so close, they must have several episodes in the can, hell the majority of the season. If things weren't going well they should've never announced it's return. They knew Miami was on deck, as well as New Jersey. Not only that, but the promo campaign was pretty substantial. This is *very* sloppy. Looking at Miami, it looks as bad as I expected. I never was excited about the cast and it looks like I was right. I'm sure it'll be watchable, but overall it seems boring and the production values are horrendous. It looks worse than the first seasons of OC/NYC. The interview segments look rushed and cheap. The photoshoot is cheap and I'm sure the opening credits will suck as well. The entire series just seems like a second rate rip off more than a true spin-off. I can't wait to actually see how it turns out. OC fell out of favor with me so this sucks. I am stuck with two HWs series I don't really love. And my dear DC still hasn't been greenlit. Hopefully Cat and Andy's meeting this week will help spark things. A boy can hope.
  13. On TWoP somebody posted an Entertainment Tonight video from 2002 with Kim and her mother. It was a 'Where Are They Now" segment and she had moved to Arizona to take care of her mother (that Kyle says died taking care of Kim) who was dying of breast cancer. She mentioned in the video when she went back to California that her house was no longer in her name. My guess is that this is the family home she was talking about. It's weird to think KIM was the one actually living with her mom (in a different state!) when she was sick. Kyle makes it seem like everybody was taking care of Kim. Why didn't Kyle move to Arizona to take care of her mother? Why didn't she move her mother in with her? I do agree Sylph that Kyle is a notorious social climber, just like Shana aka Taylor "Ford." I cannot stand Taylor and the fact that nobody (including Andy) will truly call her out. It's SICK that she repeatedly threatened to expose Kim's addition issues if she dared to step out of her place. That's evil and how can the housewives and Andy stand behind that?! How can Kyle? So what Kim's an alcoholic or worse, than is an addition. HELP her or stay out of it. You don't use something like that against a person! And WTF! This is Beverly Hills. Why is everyone acting so high and mighty in regards to Kim? Next season I can't wait for the inevitable implosion of this ridiculous Lisa/Kyle/Taylor clique. It happens every housewives series at one point and it's going to happen again.
  14. LMAO! I loved that Peter interview. Especially his comments on the other wives. He's such a sour, sorry ass. I like him. I hope they put him on the reunion show.
  15. Well real like Martha could be different than Lily. Also the show is bound to be different next season. They only have three returning housewives so with two (maybe three) newbies it could shift the tone of the series. I do agree I'd prefer her on NYC, but if she lives down the street from the Jersey housewives how much sense would that make? lol
  16. Martha Byrne has been hinting at something Housewives related on her Twitter. She keeps saying she knows who the new Real Housewife of Jersey is. Says that they live close to her neighbourhood. I wonder if SHE could possibly be the new housewife or is she just friends with the woman who's joining the cast? Very weird and not what I expected. I was just looking for news on Gotham lol.
  17. Jeana was supportive of Simon which upset Tamra. It was a pretty big brawl and everyone was tweeting sides lol. I wonder how the reunion will handle that since Jeana is the one attacked and she's technically not a housewife. BTW, yes Simon and Tamra's breakup did play out on screen.
  18. OC's website has been updated for season 6: http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-orange-county Of course it's the original, but I fell out of love during Gretchen's first season. Things got a little dull and you have Tamra acting her ass off to stay relevant. It just wasn't the same. It was such an enjoyable series in those early seasons. I liked the diversity of the wives as well. Overall the promo for the new season doesn't look very exciting. The biggest thing looks like the fight between Jeana and Tamra, with Tamra physically attacking Jeana (something I read about months ago). Interesting that the most interesting thing doesn't even include a current housewife lol. Disappointed to see the rumors of Lauri's return were false. The two new girls don't look too exciting.
  19. Update on DC: Andy said on The View that he loves Michaele, but the other women don't wanna film with her. He said they're having discussions about what to do with this show. Honestly, I have no idea why they'd want the Salahi's back. It's true they DID hijack the first season and Mary and Cat had storylines thrown out. Who knows how things would've gone if it weren't for that white house dinner re-shaping everything and the way they could use certain footage. Besides, they're broke, probably don't have a home to film and weren't popular. Why go through the trouble all over again? I would've kept the original four, added Erika then a brand new housewife and kept it moving. Right now they just missed Stacie's trip to Africa to meet her birth parents. I'm sure that would've been Bravo gold. Then you have Cat's recent trip to Thailand & book tour and Mary has a big fashion show coming up. All of these potentially interesting events are being missed bc they want the Salahi's (who have nothing going on)?
  20. Nene isn't stupid for wanting to move on, next to Bethanny she *could* be the most successful but she's ignorant and a hot heat. Rumor has it she got physical with Star Jones on Celeb Apprentice which isn't going to win her any favors. Her aggressive/violent behavior was apparent again with her altercation with Kim in the most recent episodes. That's going to make her a liability for anyone wanting to give her a spin-off or talk show. She's almost made me forget how unlikable she was in season 2 and won me over again, but she's such a turn off (once again).
  21. Doing a Dynasty movie is silly. Especially with a new Dallas series, they need to attempt to either remake the show or do the prequel as an actual series. It would be far more interesting to remake Dynasty set in the 80s though. If you take the mold of the first and second season (moreso the first in regards to Steven, Blake and Fallon's characterizations) you can actually have a very strong cable show. After that the show was just dreadful until that final season. I actually rank both seasons of The Colbys better than most of Dynasty. I'd like to rewatch it but it becomes too painful lol.
  22. Well it obviously wasn't working out, but Marquess already did too much damage. Wrote out too many characters and replaced them with such dull characters. Twice as hard for this new guy.
  23. I've read in interviews that the reason they didn't fight to keep Julia on screen more is because Abby Dalton was difficult actress to work with. It's a shame because I thought she had a lot to offer. I liked the crazy twist and recall them redeeming her, but it all got shot to hell. I think the first season (and probably only) that I loved was the fourth one. I currently own the first 6 seasons and did a rewatch. That one had a gothic nazi plot I enjoyed, Laura Johnson at Terri and Kate Vernon as a love interest for Lance (his best ever). This show never really found an identity. It was constantly changing but had good periods. It's the definition of popcorn tv. I enjoyed it and do wanna finish it one day. I especially want to review that final season which is so controversial.
  24. Oh please. Teresa is just as crazy and morally corrupt as Danielle and the rest. These women are the nastiest of the bunch, up there with OC in terms of trashiness. Without Danielle I'm sure Teresa's true colors will be exposed. It'll be hard to ignore her. My favorite was Kim G because she was a true [!@#$%^&*] stirrer and didn't mind admitting it. She was carefree and fun and bitchy and didn't take herself seriously. I hope the new season is a big transitionary season with 2 or 3 new wives to re-energize things. The second season felt really long with only four wives and all talking about the same things happening in season one. It seemed like nothing every happened.
  25. The friendship contract was CLEARLY a joke and anyone with an ounce of sense could see that. Cynthia can be very dry, but I thought the fact that it was a joke was clear. And I thought it would've been funny with a more opened minded person.
