  1. I'm currently in season four and it's just delightful. I actually loved seasons five and six although I know many fans hated them. It's the final season I found incredibly dull. Rena Sofer sucked on the show and I didn't like the smaller cast. They were kinda dull. I hate that Lisa Rinna left. Especially with Sydney gone u needed her for comic relief.
  2. Kylie Travis arrived and fits in perfectly. The only dud is Mariel Hemingway's character. I was reading a review on EW.com and the original series actually got a great review. And on other message boards I saw, people thought the first season was better. I guess it really was a case of the right show on the wrong network.
  3. This entire show was a disappointment for me. Overall was poorly cast with poorly concieved stories and characters, but a few key stars like Kylie Travis, Linda Gray and Emma Samms who were all poorly used. Everything about this felt unbelievably lazy coming off a huge hit like Melrose Place. There were never any "wow" moments. I was shocked that even after the Emma Samms revamp they didn't attempt to ramp the stories up more. Another thing that disappointed me is how they reduced Linda Gray's screentime as the series progressed. Originally she had love interests and some edge and seemed well integrated into the cast. As time went on she got soft and was just there as the mother hen. It was a drag. Especially when you consider she was the star of Dallas and this was HER spin-off. In many ways she felt as out of place as Amanda Woodward was on the horrendous sequel to Melrose Place. Right now I'm about three episodes into Central Park West, which I see according to the credits always used the CPW abbreviation. The pilot I found a big of a drag, but the show is improving. Not as bad as I was expecting and actually quite interesting. I think I was thrown by the way the series was shot and the fact that it was shot in New York. It was also very traditional for a Darren Star soap. I was impressed with the differing tone from his other series. I'm still getting to know the characters so no favorites or anybody I dislike so far, but it looks to be well cast unlike Models Inc. Loving the straight forward business stories and romantic entanglements. Can't wait to see how the series holds up leading into Raquel Welch's arrival and the big revamp. I'm also interested in seeing how Kylie Travis fits on this series and if Noelle Beck was ever able to act. I wonder if the show just gets boring because it's really doesn't seem like a bad show. I still have probably 10-15 episodes of Emerald Point NAS to watch, but that show just never caught on with me. Maybe one of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen. So boring. I may attempt to resume, but I don't even remember where I left off! I'm also severely behind on Peyton Place, but moving apts, I left behind the disc I was watching so I don't wanna skip those episodes until I'm 100% that disc is gone. But I'm pretty sure it's just at my old apt so I just need to look when I visit my brother.
  4. I believe I'm two weeks behind on NYC. I still need to see Kelly's meltdown and the following episode with Jill arriving. Can't wait for the finale and the juicy reunion. With the previous two seasons the reunions were better than the actual season. I hope its the same this year. Will be sad to see the housewives go, but you still have Bethanny Getting Married which I'm sure will be a close enough spin-off to keep the NYC fans happy. Unfortunately NJ is a total disaster this season. Four boring family members with no conflict and a woman none of them will even share scenes with. I'm sure they'll pull it together with one or two exciting episodes, but there is too much filler. They should've added someone who could've been a friend and ally to Danielle to make it work. I feel like they're stretching the drama of season one out too much. If NJ makes it to season three (which it will) they need to do a major retooling. KEEP: Danielle, Theresa and Jackie. Dump Dina for sure and probably Caroline as well and think outside of Italian stereotypes when casting the other two women. Perhaps try a sports wife or something.
  5. Gabrielle Carteris from 90210 was on that series as well. I never saw much of it, but I'd be interested in seeing what it was about. Right now I've been focused on Models Inc. It's a fun little series. Emma Samms has finally arrived which is a lot of fun! More on that later, but I do find it interesting that Kim Zimmer has a major recurring role. I had no idea! It's interesting to see her in a primetime format. She's definitely a poor fit here. She looks so old compared to even 10 years ago. I guess it was the 90s aging her.
  6. Oh wow! Thats looks great. Makes me wanna watch the mini-series at least, but that'll make me want to see the series even more.
  7. I find Jill the most unlikable. She was great in season one, but that ego blew up in season two and now shes a hot mess. I think Alex has toned it down and become really interesting and likeable. Ilike her and Beth and Ramona is crazy but I love her. She is so off it's hilarious. Kelly is an idiot but very harmless. i like her. Luann is a fake hoe who I can't stand.
  8. The student group is Dave, India, Hayley (wonder if she'll stick around), Josh and some others. Basically the old teen scene. Michala and Sasha too.
  9. Even if his stories aren't in play, it'll be interesting to see how he tweaks Allan's work.
  10. Yeah I think Allan's show has been very light and fluffy which is the problem. Maybe he started watching with the fall out from all the Zoe/Sarah stuff and Mercedes thinking she had HIV. The show was very dark then.
  11. Hopefully all this press means his material is coming up soon. I can't wait and I do hope he can save the show. I love the new multi-generational aspect.
  12. As bad as the show is now I'm ready for anything, as I've said before. I hope this new version of the show is good and can pull in viewers.
  13. Calvin and Theresa? The age thing bothers me! I doubt theres an interesting story to back it up either
  14. With his call for glitz and glamour, I really see it being a totally new show. At first I was worried about that, but i've come to terms now. It's do or die time with The Bill being canceled and all. And the show is so bad right now that even the familiarity isn't enough.
  15. I'm now onto the week of the 15th. I'm really glad that Chas is getting more to do. She's one of my absolute favorites and hasn't done a thing since I started watching! I also love her and Charity together, but I didn't see much of that recently. I also hope to see her included in Aaron's coming out. I haven't noticed much of that recently. The Wylde family drama continues to impress. I just about fell over when Ryan asked NATASHA about Mark. Of all the people to ask! She's such a unique character. I want to see her on LA LAW. I also think Maisie is a brokedown hot mess. I've never liked her and honestly I still don't. The show did a poor job of creating sympathy before this big reveal. She was on the sidelines for so long and they had to know this was coming.
  16. Waaaht?! I really wasn't expecting that. I'd say pretty good casting. I love Phina. She's sexy, unique and will definitely bring a new quality to the show. I can't see her sitting on the sidelines like most of the current older characters. Hopefully that's a sign it'll be more integrated like the others. Only problem is that she has an ODD accent. She sounds pretty much American. I wonder how she will sound here.
  17. Marlon. I was close. I blame their accents. And yes Carl I don't believe that! Maybe if you're saying he's a con-artist then I can understand, but that seems so comedic.
  18. Adam is as cute as it gets, but needs a storyline. The two girls are just sick. Put me to sleep. I do love Moira and John (they are so good looking!), but they don't have anything to do. What is that guys name? Marvin? The chef who wanted to have an affair with Moira. I do wish they had pursued that even if it didn't mean sex. An emotional affair of the heart could've been interesting.
  19. Waaaht? How did you get so far? I thought you said you were in August a while back! Then you've seen all of the boring Barton drama, unless it gets worse. I was hoping they'd disappear.
  20. Amello, you'll be FF that shyt. That week was painful for me to watch. I'm at the week of Feb 8th right now. Need to do more catch up.
  21. I think Greg killed Laura. He took her out of the cul-de-sac which meeant we lost her relationships with Val, Karen and Abby. She was too out of the loop on that ranch. And they never played on that isolation. My favorite relationship of hers was with Abby. They had such awful history, yet were so much alike and worked well together. I also loved Richard. He was a cute little monkey. One of the best actors I've ever seen on soaps.
  22. Unless this was after Laura died, she and Greg were happy. And it's not like Mack and Karen would've gotten divorced. Sid and Karen were the stable couple in the beginning, yet she tempted affairs and had such a strong sexuality. I think it's possible to do and maintain the integrity of the show and the characters. I just hated that they dropped it cold turkey.
  23. I thought Lemay said he was personal friends with the Shapiros and we've now learned they worked for Love of Life. I never took it as a swipe that they "stole" the Carrington name, but maybe it was a homage to a friend. But you can't tell me it's a coincidence that Another World was a hugely popular soap and when bringing the genre to primetime David Jacobs, the Shapiros, etc. didn't look to daytime for inspiration. What are the chances you'd have a huge Ewing family on AW, then Dallas just happened to be centered around a Ewing family?
  24. Susan Howard is an absolute goddess. One of the best things about Dallas. Their mistake was not using her more. Especially in those later years. When Bobby was blind and in charge of Ewing Oil they had Donna take his place, but she was only in charge for like two episodes! It was such a waste. There was such heat between Donna and JR. She would've been credible going toe-to-toe with him and maybe even having an affair.
  25. Eric are you sure? I thought the pilot was originally aired in a 3 hour block. Carl, Wayne's return was odd, but the writing was so bad then that it never amounted to much. IIRC, his original history with Fallon was forgotten and he was a love interest for the dreadful Karen Celleni version of Amanda. I believe this is around the time Matthew Blaisdel also returned and was demolished. With Amanda she was never mentioned again and Blake and Alexis stopped listing her as one of their children.
