ARTICLE: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Talks Sheila’s Death on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ Says “This is what needed to happen”
On the Monday, March 4 episode of “The Talk,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) sat down with co-hosts Amanda Kloots and Sheryl Underwood to discuss the latest developments on the daytime drama series, particularly Steffy stabbing Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). In response to the show deciding to kill off the iconic villain, Wood said, “I was in complete shock…but like Steffy, I mean, ding-dong the witch is dead. This is what needed to happen. As for Steffy’s husband, who also happens to be Sheila’s biological son, Wood notes, “Steffy needs Finn [Tanner Novlan] to man up. She needs her man to stand up for what is going on because it’s absolutely crazy. Sheila terrorized their family for so long, so, and Steffy honestly doesn’t want to have to murder Finn, too.” Considering Kloots recently made a guest appearance on the soap, playing the mom of real-life son Elvis, who appeared as a playdate for Steffy and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) daughter, Kelly (), one wonders if we’ll be seeing more of the talk show host, fitness specialist and actress on the series soon, which Wood would like to see happen. “I’d love for you to come back. We had so much that day,” shared Wood of working with Kloots. “Steffy needs a really good girlfriend.” Speaking of kids, Wood shares details on how she manages life with four kids, saying, “I am nonstop, but I think like us as women, we just take on so much…I like to try to stay healthy and active when I can, and then I have little mom hacks here and there.” For example, Wood commented, “One of my things, I like to freeze my kids’ toys. So that gives me like 45 minutes in the morning because I do love my coffee, I treat myself…you have to hack your way through life.” Watch a clip from Wood’s appearance on “The Talk” below. ARTICLE: Austin Stowell Cast as Young Gibbs in ‘NCIS: Origins,’ An ‘NCIS’ Prequel Series Narrated by Mark Harmon
First announced in early January, CBS has given a series order for “NCIS: Origins,” which takes place in 1991, years before the events of “NCIS” and follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (narrated by Mark Harmon) through his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office, where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks. Playing a young Gibbs will be Austin Stowell, the network announced today. Stowell’s television credits include “A Friend of the Family,” “The Hating Game” opposite Lucy Hale, and “Breathe.” He also starred opposite George Clooney, Chris Abbott and Hugh Laurie in the limited series “Catch 22,” the Steven Spielberg anthology series “Amazing Stories,” and “Public Morals,” which was also executive produced by Spielberg and Ed Burns. Sowell’s feature film credits include “Battle of the Sexes” alongside Emma Stone, “Bridge of Spies” with Tom Hanks, “This Tempting Madness,” “12 Strong” opposite Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon, as well as the Academy Award-winning “Whiplash” with JK Simmons, which was nominated for Best Picture and won the Audience and Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2014. Additional credits include “Fantasy Island,” the indie award-winning drama “Swallow,” and “Colossal” with Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis. Produced by CBS studios, “NCIS: Origins” is set to be executive produced by Mark Harmon, Sean Harmon, David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal, with North and Monreal co-writing the premiere episode and serving as co-showrunners. “We are elated and honored to continue the expansion of the NCIS universe in such a unique and unexpected way,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, announcing the series order in January. “Viewers can look forward to Mark Harmon returning to CBS to narrate the complex and mysterious backstory of Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ early years in ‘NCIS: Origins,’ which will build on the rich legacy of this character while reintroducing fan-favorite characters and meeting new ones.” “There’s no denying the cultural and global phenomenon of the NCIS franchise for the last 20 years,” said David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, in his own statement at the time. “When Sean and Mark approached us all with this exciting expansion of the universe – exploring a young Gibbs – we knew it was the next story that needed to be told. We also couldn’t be luckier to have Gina and David at the helm as co-showrunners who are not only brilliant and adept writers, but know this character and universe so well.” “We’re thrilled to be bringing this new chapter to life along with Mark and Sean Harmon,” said executive producers and co-showrunners Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North. “This really is the making of Leroy Jethro Gibbs. And even the most dedicated NCIS fans will discover that they don’t know the whole story.” “The character of Gibbs has been an important part of my life for 20 years, both in watching my father craft the role and previously having the honor to play young Gibbs myself,” added executive producer Sean Harmon. “I always felt there was a tale worth telling about his earlier years, so I am thrilled to be stepping into a producing role alongside Gina, David and my dad as we tell this story and reveal a new side of this beloved character.” During the 2022-2023 television season, it is estimated that the “NCIS” franchise had over 300 million worldwide viewers across all platforms, including broadcast, cable, streaming and syndication (according to Nielsen and internal data). In spring 2024, the franchise will celebrate its thousandth episode. Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo Art Streiber/CBS Last week, it was announced that Paramount+ would be the home of another “NCIS” series, starring original recipe alums Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly. The untitled spinoff follows Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly) and Ziva David (de Pablo), who have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. Only after Tony’s security company is attacked do they find themselves running across Europe trying to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again if only so they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after. Both “NCIS: Origins” and the untitled “NCIS” spinoff starring de Pablo and Weatherly are set to premiere during the 2024-2025 television season on CBS and Paramount+, respectively. Monthly vs. General Spoilers
Effective Monday, March 4, the Discuss Previews and Spoilers forum will maintain a form of consistency in line with the Discuss the Soaps forum. As with the parent forum, each month anyone can create a monthly discussion thread for each soap opera, but in this case it is pure spoilers discussion. Individual episode discussions will continue in their respective threads found in DTS. This does not mean that spoilers can only be discussed or shared in the individual spoiler threads. Instead, it provides a place for people to read the latest happenings on each soap in one clear and concise location. Major casting news, promos, etc. can still be posted as their own separate thread within the Discuss Previews and Spoilers forum. Promos, casting news, etc. can also be discussed in the monthly threads, too. Overall, the idea is to continue driving discussion while maintaining a layout that is easy to find what you are looking for. To aide posters with spoiler discussions relating to content published by reputable outlets, listed below is a sample list of reputable publications and/or websites curated by the SON Administration. Sample Reputable Publications/Websites: Soap Opera Network Soap Opera Digest Soaps In Depth Daytime Confidential Soap Hub Michael Fairman TV Deadline TV Insider TV Line PEOPLE TV Guide Entertainment Weekly Note: Reputable publications/websites are not limited to the above. This is just a sample of outlets we find reputable and/or valuable for discussing what's about to happen on your favorite daytime soap operas. Spoilers coming from verifiable and reputable publications (sample list above) must include a link and/or appropriate credit. As always, discussions should remain on topic. Personal attacks against posters and real life people is unacceptable behavior and can lead to a suspension or your posting privileges will be removed. ARTICLE: Jason Returns to ‘General Hospital’ With Blood on His Hands
Steve Burton is back as Jason Morgan on “General Hospital” beginning with the Monday, March 4 episode, but it looks like he has blood on his hands instead of rubble keeping him down. In a first-look photo released by PEOPLE, the outlet reveals that when Jason returns to the canvas, he’ll have been shot for the umpteenth time while wearing one of his signature black shirts and black leather gloves. From what can be gathered, Jason is involved in a shootout that ends up with a bullet lodged in his lower left abdomen. Jason uses his right hand to assess his current situation as he leans on a dumpster for support. So what causes Jason’s predicament? You’ll have to tune in to find out, but we think the Friday, March 1 episode will be particularly interesting to watch as things always have a beginning before the ending can be reached. His ungloved hand is covered in blood. When We Last Saw Jason When viewers last saw Jason, he was running through a tunnel before it collapsed, leaving many to believe the character had perished, although a body was never discovered. In the following episode, aired on Monday, November 22, 2022, which did not show Jason in any capacity, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Leisl (Kathleen Gati) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) frantically tried to remove the fallen debris from the tunnel collapse but were quickly escorted out by Anna (Finola Hughes) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) for their safety, and with the hope that Jason was able to get out on his own another way. Later, they were told that Robert’s men scoured the island only not to find a trace of Jason, which gave credence to the possibility that Jason’s body was still in the tunnels, presumably dead from the debris that fell on him on the Friday episode. Laura Wright, Steve Burton, Kelly Monaco Eric McCandless/Disney At the end of the episode, The Chariot tarot card was shown in the spot where Jason was last spotted. The card represents “willpower, determination, and strength” or “determination, focus, and willpower.” Essentially, the card is supposed to represent a positive outcome, which was true considering Jason survived the collapse and will be back with his family and friends, albeit he’ll need some time to heal from his wounds. Road to His Return In early January, at the conclusion of the moderately rated “General Hospital” 60th anniversary primetime special, it was announced that Burton would be reprising his role as Jason Morgan after more than two years away from the series as a result of his refusal to comply with the then Disney mandated vaccine requirement, with the company denying his medical and religious exemption requests. A few months later, it was revealed that he would be reprising his “Days of our Lives” character, Harris Michaels, in the Peacock original series “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem” (Chapter 2). Following his successful reprisal, the mothership series opted to bring the character to its canvas, with Burton joining the show’s cast in episodes first aired in March 2023. By December, however, the actor shared that his one-year deal with Corday Productions, the show’s producer, had been up for renewal, but the show opted against extending him a new contract. Luckily, with Burton now available, producers at “General Hospital” contacted Burton to see if he’d be interested in returning to the show, particularly as the Disney mandate had since been vacated. Burton accepted and began taping at the show’s studio in early February, with his first on-air appearance scheduled for Monday, March 4. Pulling Double Duty In a statement released to Soap Opera Network, a spokesperson for “Days of our Lives” said, “Everyone enjoyed having Steve back in the ‘Days of our Lives’ family.” They added, “Although he finished taping at the end of the year, ‘Harris’ will remain on the show for many months to come.” This means Burton will not only be appearing as Jason on “General Hospital” starting on Monday, but he’ll also continue appearing on “Days of our Lives” due to the show’s advanced tape-to-air schedule. Check out the first-look photo here for a sneak peek at Jason’s new look and to speculate what might be behind his shooting, and make sure to watch “General Hospital” weekdays on ABC. ARTICLE: Tracey Bregman on ‘The Young and the Restless’ Renewal: “You Made This Possible!”
Celebrating more than 40 years since she began portraying the role of Lauren Fenmore on “The Young and the Restless,” actress Tracey Bregman has also spoken out about the show receiving a renewal order for four more seasons by CBS earlier this week. Her comments follow those made by co-stars Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), who are celebrating their 44th and 30th anniversaries on the show this year, respectively. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bregman thanked the fans for their loyalty to the show by tuning in every day and every year, inline with the messages posted by both Braeden and Morrow. “We got a 4 year pick up!! Thank you to everyone who watches. You made this possible!! We and so grateful to you all. love you!” Bregman said in her tweet. Having won the Daytime Emmy Award in 1985 for Outstanding Ingenue, a category which was later rebranded as Outstanding Younger Actress, Bregman was honored with a replacement trophy during an appearance on “The Talk” last year while celebrating her 40th anniversary on “The Young and the Restless” – Bregman’s original Emmy was lost when her home burned down during the Woolsey fire in 2018. “I would like to present this, an Emmy for Outstanding Ingenue, but this time it’s from the people who love and respect you and cherish you, your CBS, your ‘[The] Young and the Restless’ family, and I’m so honored to be able to give it to you,” said screen partner Christian Le Blanc, who portrays Bregman’s character’s husband, Michael Baldwin. Emmy Category Retired Bregman was the first-ever recipient of the Emmy Award in the category, winning it during “The 12th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” ceremony. Starting with “The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” the Outstanding Younger Actress category and its male counterpart, the Outstanding Younger Actor category, were replaced by a combined Outstanding Younger Performer category. In early February, it was announced that effective with “The 51st Daytime Emmy Awards” ceremony, set to take place in early June, the category would be no more. The changes were a culmination of depreciated eligible performers, primarily the result of alterations made to age requirements. More recently, performers needed to be no older than 18 to be eligible for a nomination. The age requirement was 21 in 2021, and before that, the limit was 25. GH: February 2024 Discussion Thread
Watched the Eva clip and found nothing wrong with what she said. She was describing her character and her character's motives. Made perfect sense to me listening to it in its raw form. Maybe if I re-listen I might not feel the same way, but thus far I heard and saw nothing wrong. That's just my opinion, of course.

NBC has given a series order to “The Hunting Party,” a high-concept crime procedural from JJ Bailey and Jake Coburn (“The Endgame,” “Quantico”), with both serving as executive producers, writers and co-showrunners.
