  3. I temporarily resolved the issue by reverting the PHP version back to 7.4. There seems to be an issue with version 8.0 at the moment. Will work on resolving it permanently as 7.4 stops receiving support in November and 8.0 will be required to run the forums going forward. With that said, I also have another alternative solution in the works that I’m just not ready to utilize just yet due to cost.
  4. The 2022-2023 television season has barely started and we’re already getting a special primetime episode of “The Price is Right at Night,” airing Friday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. “The Price is Right at Night” Courtesy of CBS Drew Carey will host actors Iain Armitage and Raegan Revord, who play twins in television’s most-watched comedy, “Young Sheldon,” as they appear as guest models during showcases in an episode filled with an audience of real twins who are competing for double the prices, including a tech room inspired by Armitage’s character, Sheldon, and a music room that Revord’s character, Missy, would love. A trip to Texas, where “Young Sheldon” is set, is also up for grabs. Iain Armitage, Raegan Revord (“The Price is Right at Night”) Photo by Sonja Flemming/CBS Look for at least five additional “The Price is Right at Night” primetime specials to air throughout the season, including episodes featuring super fans and grocery store workers who will have their pricing skills put to the test. “The Price is Right at Night” is a primetime special edition of “The Price is Right,” broadcast television’s most-watched and highest-rated daytime series, currently the longest-running game show in television history. The show is produced by Fremantle and airs weekdays at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT on CBS. Evelyn Warfel is the executive producer. 5. Yes, I saw that. I checked both my DVR copy and Paramount+ but no writer/director credits at the beginning of the episode. There were cast credits at the close, however. I’m looking into it. Hopefully will have the info soon.
  6. On Wednesday, September 28, the January 6th Committee will hold their next hearing, the first since July. The hearing will again occur during the daytime hours, beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT. As has been the case since the hearings began in June, the broadcast networks are likely to preempt all or part of their daytime lineups, primarily impacting “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” “The Talk” and “General Hospital” wherein episodes will push forward as has been the case for the soaps in particular. Meanwhile, the first half-hour of “The Young and the Restless” is expected to air before being broken into by CBS News coverage. The entire episode will be available later in the evening via Paramount+ on CBS On Demand. “We’re looking at the process of being able to look at the report … as well as closing the loop on any potential witnesses,” said Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D, Mississippi) last week when questioned on when the next hearing would take place. According to Politico, Thompson noted that the intention to continue the hearings is so they can create an interim report by mid-October, with a finalized report planned by the end of the year. “We sunset at the end of December,” CBS News reports Thompson said. With “Days of our Lives” now airing exclusively on Peacock, the show will be released on schedule and without interruption. 7. Looks like a temporary glitch. We upgraded our the PHP version on the server to 8.0 not too long ago today and it might hiccup a bit here and there. Otherwise, everything is fine.
  8. Just saw a DAYS on Peacock promo ad here on SON. Love seeing that.
  9. I wouldn't put any weight into this data, personally. Since episodes are disappearing from the platform every day from last season (season 57), I've started recording episodes every night off of Peacock this week and finding myself actually paying attention and enjoying the show in a non-daytime/work time setting. I'm actually interested in some of the characters. What needs to change, IMO, is on-air look, tightening the writing and less gimmicks (ie. no more silly nonsense or tongue in cheek BS).
  10. Having not appeared on “The Bold and the Beautiful” since at least November of last year, actress Denise Richards will soon reprise her role as Shauna Fulton on the daytime drama series. According to a post from earlier this week on her Instagram stories, Richards can be seen holding a script in front of her face with the captions “Guess who is back” and “Shauna is coming to visit @boldandbeautifulcbs.” A return date for Richards was not available at press time. 13. With his character becoming the first victim to perish after an attack by The Hook, a new serial killer threatening the lives of Port Charles citizens, actor Johnny Wactor concluded his run as Brando Corbin on the Tuesday, September 20 episode of “General Hospital.” In an interview published in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, on newsstands Friday, Wactor tells the outlet that his final days on the show were very hectic, “because I was filming so many pages, I didn’t really have time to kind of think or be emotional or reflect on anything.” However, following his final taping, “I gave a little speech. I knew that I would want to say something just because of my time there and my relationships with the people in the cast and crew. I was a little emotional.” Wactor had only been with the show since his first on-air appearance in January 2020, but it wasn’t his choice to leave the series. “I’ve got no bad blood and I wish everyone at ‘GH’ the best,” Wactor noted of learning his character was being written out. “Sad day for Brando… but honestly had fun filming a rain scene and working with @johnnywactor,” shared co-star Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Davis) in a post on her Instagram story entitled “Bittersweet.” “RIP ‘Brando Corbin’, could not have been played by a better Actor. Love ya Johnny!” wrote co-star David Lautman (Grant Smoltz), who shared a clip (shown below) of Brando’s death scene on his Instagram story. In response, Wactor said, “Thank you brother. Enjoyed working with you. And may Smoltz live on to wreak more havoc!” For more from Wactor and his exit from “GH,” check out the full interview in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, on newsstands Friday. 14. During the live 19th season finale of “The Bachelorette” on Tuesday night, which featured Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia‘s journey to finding love, host Jesse Palmer and ABC announced that Zach Shallcross would be “The Bachelor” when the popular reality series returns for its 27th season beginning Monday, January 23, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. After coming to an emotional realization about his future with Rachel, Shallcross won Bachelor Nation’s affection when he decided to end his journey on “The Bachelorette,” which made him the perfect candidate for seeking love on the flagship series. The 26-year-old tech executive from Anaheim Hills, California, quickly became a fan favorite of the series with his quiet charm, quick wit and openness about finding lasting love. Splitting time between Orange County and Texas, Shallcross is eager to begin his journey to find a love like his parents have found after 30 years of marriage. 15. The week of September 12-16, 2022 marked the final week of the 2021-2022 television season and the series debut of “NBC News Daily,” which replaced “Days of our Lives” on NBC. In its first week on the air, “NBC News Daily,” hosted by Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Morgan Redford and Vicky Nguyen, averaged just 935,000 viewers, placing it last among Total Viewers and last in both Women 18-49 (tie) and Women 25-54 rating. Compared to the week ago and year ago performance of “Days of our Lives,” “NBC News Daily” was down -744,000 and -762,000 viewers, respectively. In the key sales demos, the news program was also down week to week and year to year compared to the performance of the daytime drama series (see list below). Week to Week: 0.2 vs 0.2 in Women 18-49 rating; 0.2 vs 0.4 in Women 25-54 rating (Unrounded: 0.16 vs 0.24 in W18-49; 0.24 vs 0.37 in W 25-54) Year to Year: 0.2 vs 0.3 in Women 18-49 rating; 0.2 vs 0.4 in Women 25-54 rating (Unrounded: 0.16 vs 0.25 in W18-49; 0.24 vs 0.38 in W25-54) “NBC News Daily” utilizes the power of NBC News by providing viewers with the latest happenings in national and international news, concentrating on consumers, health, and personal finance reporting intertwined with up-to-the-minute local news coverage. The series debuted on Monday, September 12, 2022, replacing “Days of our Lives” on NBC stations following the daytime drama series’ move to streaming service Peacock. Episodes of “NBC News Daily” are also available on NBC News Now, the network’s free streaming news service and digital channel. CBS’ “The Talk” (1.354 million) returned for its 13th season and was the only daytime broadcast series to see an increase over its year ago performance among Total Viewers, up +18,000 viewers. Despite the slight uptick in viewers, this is a bad start for “The Talk,” which has been shedding viewers since just before the launch of season 11. Two weeks into its 26th season, “The View” (2.095 million) remains the most-watched daytime talk show but is down compared to the first two weeks of Season 25 (2.153 million vs 2.344 million). Only time will tell if the additions of Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farrah Griffin will be the secret sauce to another successful season for the veteran talk show. “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.835 million) had the most significant week to week gain among Total Viewers, up +100,000 viewers, followed by the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” (4.201 million), which was up +76,000 viewers compared to one week earlier, and “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.518 million). What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of September 12-16, 2022 in Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including a look at their comparable performance in 2021 and 2020, respectively. A closer look at the daytime soaps, including their daily performance in the demos, will be posted on Thursday. *NBC News Daily week ago, year ago and 2020 figures are compared to the performance of “Days of our Lives.” Week Of September 12-16, 2022 Rankers Women 18-49 Rating Rank / Show / NetworkThis WeekLast WeekLast Year20201. 16. Although he’s appeared in very few episodes overall this year due to several outside projects he’s attached to, fans of actor Darin Brooks are in luck this week when the actor returns as Wyatt Spencer on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” On Thursday, September 22, Wyatt joins his brother Liam (Scott Clifton) for some family time when the two sit down with their father, Bill (Don Diamont), who describes how Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) reacted to finding Brooke (Kathrine Kelly Lang) in his arms. Although still on contract with the soap, Brooks has been appearing in several outside projects recently, including the Apple TV+ series “Amber Brown” and the Hulu/Peacock original “The Croods: Family Tree,” wherein he voices the role of Guy. The fourth season of the animated series launched last month on both services. Earlier this month, Brooks’ real-life wife Kelly Kruger announced via Instagram that the two would be starring in a new Christmas movie together, their first project as love interests since the comedy series “Blue Mountain State” concluded its run on Spike TV (now Paramount Network) in 2011 and the follow-up film “Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland,” released in 2015. The movie is said to be titled “The Art of Christmas” and will air as part of Great American Family’s “Great American Christmas” holiday programming event. Kruger will play the role of Brit. Hallmark Media, formerly Crown Media, has signed “Days of our Lives” fan favorite Alison Sweeney to a multi-picture overall deal that calls for the actress to star in and executive produce original movies for its cable networks, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The actress has already starred in and executive produced nearly two dozen movies for the company thus far. According to Deadline, which first reported the news, the first project as part of Sweeney’s deal will be “A Magical Christmas Village,” which she co-executive produces and stars in alongside co-star Luke Macfarlane (“Mariah’s Lighthouse”) and special guest star Marlo Thomas. The fun will not be contained to daytime alone as the game show, like “The Price is Right,” will continue producing more primetime specials this season. On Monday, September 26, “The Bold and the Beautiful” will enter its 36th season, continuing as the most-watched U.S.-produced daytime drama series in the world. The episode will feature a crossover with “The Young and the Restless.” Additionally, the show is currently set to air its 9000th episode on Monday, April 17, 2023 (subject to change due to unscheduled preemptions/last minute schedule changes). Courtesy of CBS Kicking off its 50th season on Friday, September 30, “The Young and the Restless” has unveiled a new logo to honor the milestone (see above). All season long the show will build off of its classic storylines with the return of several fan favorites intertwined with intrigue and family drama featuring the show’s iconic characters. The show debuted on March 26, 1973 on CBS and tapes from the landmark Television City studios in Los Angeles. The soap has been the most watched and highest-rated daytime drama series for 35 consecutive years. “The Talk” launched its 13th season on Monday, September 12. 22. Peacock is NBC. The executives in charge of Peacock are also in charge of NBC. All streaming services with a broadcast network component are now being run by the same people who will decide which platform each show they develop will be geared for.
  23. It’ll only be available on premium. That was made very clear multiple times and while I was talking with the actors on set yesterday. Episodes will release daily at 6am EST/3am PST.
  24. Heading to the DAYS set later today. Any questions I should ask? I'm doing video interviews with about 6 or 7 cast members (won't name names as it could be subject to change). You can be specific or non-specific, up to you. I'm not looking to ask about storylines as I'm not a fan of spoilers (for the most part) and that's not why I'm going there.
  25. Without naming any names (obviously), you'd be surprised how many non-DAYS affiliated people are pissed about this move internally at NBCU. Those are who I'm talking about.
