CBS announced today that it has ordered “The Never Game” as its first new series for the 2023-2024 television season. Justin Hartley (“This is Us,” “The Young and the Restless”) will star in the new drama and will also serve as an executive producer. Based on the bestselling novel by Jeffery Deaver, “The Never Game” will feature Hartley as lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. “I am overjoyed to give the first new show order for next season to this thrilling new series led by the incredibly talented Justin Hartley,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “‘The Never Game’ is an excellent addition to our already successful drama lineup, and since our viewers love shows with action, intrigue, mystery and complex characters, they will love ‘The Never Game’ – it delivers on all fronts.” Ken Olin and Ben H. Winters join Hartley as executive producers on the Twentieth Television production, with Olin directing the pilot from a script written by Winters. From 2002-2006, Hartley starred as Fox Crane on “Passions.” He returned to daytime in 2014 to star on “The Young and the Restless” as a recast Adam Newman. In 2016, he left the soap to join “This is Us,” the acclaimed series about a family as told through different time frames. The series ran for six seasons on NBC. “Days of our Lives” will once again welcome actress Victoria Konefal back to Salem as Ciara Brady Weston. Earlier this month, the actress not only joined the first in-person “Day of DAYS” fan event in three years but she could also be seen in clips from the fall/winter teaser video shown at the event’s conclusion, wherein her character walks in on her mother, Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso), getting intimate with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton), a man Ciara first met during Chapter 2 of “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem.” READ: Steve Burton Joins Peacock’s ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Also returning is Ciara’s father, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), who won’t be too pleased to see Hope has moved on in the years since his “death.” Of course, he’s being held captive and can barely comprehend things, so he’ll eventually come to an understanding. Soap Opera Network also hears that Ciara won’t be returning by herself, which will make plenty of folks very happy! ARTICLE: ‘GMA3’ and CBS Game Shows Up Week-to-Week, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Again Up Year-to-Year
Stop listening to “someone” especially in relation to Peacock, specifically DAYS on Peacock. Further, Nielsen itself only releases the Top 10 in movies and TV. That’s the only place where we get streaming numbers for the company. Peacock would have to do blockbuster numbers to ever get something in the Top 10. Currently it’s Netflix or Disney+ topping those lists with some Hulu and prime video mixed in.

ARTICLE: ‘TODAY with Hoda & Jenna’ Hits Seven Month High in Viewers, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Up Year-to-Year
Yes, this is true. However, Nielsen has it where the show is nationally preempted, thereby excluding any ratings for it. The View similarly aired but was coded as a breakout by Nielsen, which also excluded its ratings for the day. National Preemption generally means it didn’t air anywhere, and breakout means it aired but we’re pretending it didn’t because not enough people could watch it. “The Talk” should have been coded as a breakout but what I’m told is “national preemption.”

ARTICLE: ‘TODAY with Hoda & Jenna’ Hits Seven Month High in Viewers, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Up Year-to-Year
(Note: Due to travel over the next couple of weeks, the daytime broadcast ratings will be posted on Wednesdays or Thursdays) During the week of October 10-14, 2022, NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (1.637 million) topped both “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.445 million) and “The Talk” (1.443 million) for the first time in quite some time. In fact, the long running program attracted its largest overall audience in at least seven months (since the week of February 28-March 4, 2022), according to current ratings records obtained by Soap Opera Network. Additionally, the daily chat/news hybrid and “The Bold and the Beautiful” (3.044 million) were the only daytime broadcast shows to see increases in Total Viewers compared to the same week last year. Compared to the same week in 2020, “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” was up +240,000 viewers while “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up +270,000. And speaking of the half-hour scripted series, the show, along with “The Young and the Restless” (3.432 million) and “The Talk,” posted its best Total Viewer numbers since the week of July 25-29, 2022. “The Young and the Restless” was up +340,000 viewers over its performance during the same week in 2020, the biggest gain over 2020 of any daytime broadcast series. As it did last week, “The Price is Right” (3.810 million / 4.353 million) again posted its best Total Viewer numbers since the week of August 8-12, 2022. Meanwhile, the first half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” (2.264 million) posted its best numbers in two weeks (since the week of September 26-30, 2022). The second half-hour averaged 2.631 million viewers for the week. After losing viewers during its fourth week on the air last week, “NBC News Daily” (1.114 million) was on the plus side this week, adding +45,000 viewers week-to-week. The gap widened, however, between the news show and CBS’ competing “The Talk” after the chat fest added +86,000 viewers to its total over the prior week. The gap is now +329,000 in favor of “The Talk.” “GMA3: What You Need to Know” (1.445 million) was not only down the most week-to-week, down -101,000 viewers, but the news program was also down compared to the same week last year (-103,000 viewers) and the comparable week in 2020 (-93,000). “The View” (2.207 million) was similarly down across the board. Demographically, the ABC chatfest was flat week-to-week in both Women 18-49 (0.3 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.4 rating), tying for fifth place in W18-49 rating and ninth place in W25-54 rating. What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of October 10-14, 2022 in Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including a look at their comparable performance in 2021 and 2020, respectively. A closer look at the daytime soaps, including their daily performance in the demos, will be posted on Thursday. Over the weekend, “Days of our Lives” actor Lucas Adams (Tripp Johnson) married his “Liv and Maddie” co-star Shelby Wulfert in a ceremony that took place at the Chateau Hiddenwood estate in Waxahachie, Texas. The wedding took place on Saturday, October 15 with Wulfert walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of “La Vie En Rose” while wearing a Jenny Yoo crepe satin dress from BHLDN at Anthropologie in Los Angeles, reports PEOPLE magazine. Around 40 guests attended. Meeting in 2016 on the set of the Disney Channel series, the couple got engaged in July 2021. “We were friends first,” said Wulfert, 28, to PEOPLE about how the couple met. “And then after a while, Lucas was so sweet. He was like, ‘I have to tell you that I have a crush on you.’ And then after that I was like, ‘Oh, thank goodness. I do too!’” Lucas Adams, Shelby Wulfert Photo by Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock “This marks the beginning of starting to really build our family together and what that means for us,” Wulfert noted, adding, “We want to have kids in a couple of years so starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents and the next chapter of the rest of our lives.” Following their wedding, the couple plans to spend their honeymoon in Dallas. “We’re doing a mini-moon in Dallas,” says Adams, 29. “So we can go and just kind of hang out and just relax for a couple of days.
