Lucinda finds Luke contemplating things over coffee at Java. Opting to join him, she asks if he's heard from Holden or Lily. Luke says he hasn't and the conversation soon turns to Noah. Luke recalls how quickly Noah cut off his run-in with Carrie a few hours ago. Lucinda suggests that maybe she should talk to Noah and at a loss, Luke agrees. Later, he re-thinks his decision when Emma convinces Luke that Noah wouldn't still be with Luke if there was something else going on.

Bob, furious, blasts Kim for getting into his business affairs and Kim takes the word "affair" personal, asking Bob if he and Susan have rekindled the old flame. Bob scoffs at the accusation and moans that he thought Kim would have more trust in him. Bob leaves upset and Kim goes home, only to hear Nancy's argument that what Bob and Susan have is a common interest to build the new cancer ward to repair Memorial's reputation and better the health of ailing cancer victims in the Oakdale area. Kim should be thankful, not paranoid, since Kim's own niece is suffering from cancer.

Holden brushes past a limb as he and Andrew continue to trek through the woods. Holden notes what a long journey it is and wonders how much longer they have to walk.

Lily clings to the watch, remembering that she had given Craig a watch just like this for his birthday when he had first married her sister Sierra. Rohan's mother checks Lily's ankle one more time. She notes how nicely it's healing and Lily thanks Rohan's mother for her hospitality. Upon Rohan's questions about her life in the states, Lily talks romantically of Holden and their children. Rohan comment that Holden must be Lily's knight in shining armour. Lily laughs and says that it seems that he's always rescuing her and she vents how she halfway thinks that her dependence on him at times has caused him to crumble under the pressure and caused their marriage to hurt in the process.

Katie meets Michael at Java, as the store starts to close down for the night. Michael comments that it's late for Katie to call him, but quickly asks Katie what he can do for her. Katie wonders aloud why Lyla has suddenly opted to seek treatment elsewhere, shortly after Michael's arrival in Oakdale. Michael says that he didn't know that Lyla had made the decision and shrugs to Katie that he wishes he had an answer. The last time he talked to Lyla was shortly after Casey's death. Later, Katie prepares for bed and tries to find out how to make Lyla see what she sees in her uncle Michael. She walks past an old photo of herself with Brad in the background and wearily comments how complicated her life has become. Little does she know, Brad is parked outside her house, deadset on going in and telling her how he feels. A last minute change of heart, though, prompts Brad to crank up his car and drive off, writing it all off as a lost cause.

Will comes home and notes the late hour on the clock above the stove. He rummages through the fridge and manages to find some leftovers, contently munching on them. Suddenly, he remembers not seeing Gwen's car in the drive. He quickly calls Barbara, who corrects him when he wrongfully assumes Gwen and Hallie stayed late dduring their visit with Barbara. Barbara asks Will how long these strange absences are going to continue before Will starts asking some questions. Will wonders where Gwen might be going with Hallie, but his concern over Gwen's emotional well-being since Iris has been given a restraining order against them stops Will from asking questions. Barbara warns Will that if he doesn't ask, she will.

Gwen walks to the car, wondering how much longer she can keep doing this without Will asking questions. As she puts Hallie in her car seat and looks back, the camera pans up to show a beaming Iris waving goodbye to them.

Holden wakes up and familiarizes himself with his settings. His throbbing head blurrily helps sketch a mental image of his surroundings. A tiny window. A dim lightbulb flickers above him, the only one in the room. A dirt floor. A chain covering his hands. Andrew with a plate of food. Suddenly, he remembers walking through the woods, Andrew falling behind him in their walk, and a sudden blow to his head crippling him into unconciousness. Angrily, Andrew slings the plate of food at Holden's feet and snaps that Holden and his wife would have had better luck staying in the states.
