Endgame- Episode 2
Monday, March 19, 2007
Port Charles begins in at General Hospital. Monica has been on her shift for the last 13 hours and the fact that David continues to pressure her to resign as Chief of Cardiology weights heavy on her patience. She has less than 10 minutes to deliver her answer to David…well….let’s say she doesn’t have to deliver it because David just walked her office.
“You’ve had more than enough time to make your decision Monica. I am patient, but I’m not stupid. Either sign the papers or I go tell Alan what you and Dr. Collins have been up.” David knows that if he pushes hard enough, Monica will break.
The two of them then hear over the PA that an accident has happened and the ambulance will be here with the victim in less than 10 minutes.
David decides to use this to his advantage, knowing that Alan is probably scrubbing in now, preparing for surgery. He blocks Monica from leaving the office and gives her one final chance to sign…against her better judgment, Monica caves and signs the papers, throwing them in David’s face. David tells her to enjoy her last night in charge, and to make sure she files this first thing in the morning.
Back at PCU, Anna, Lucky and Mac arrive on the scene. The investigators are trying to question Lucas and the other teens on what they saw. Lulu runs into her brothers arms crying. Maxie runs to Mac with genuine tears surprisingly (probably more afraid of what’ll happen to her and less about her compassion for Brandon.
Lucas is a mess. Between witnessing the love of his life broken on the ground and the fact that Maxie drugged him, Lucas is unable to give the kind of answers that he had hoped for. The only thing on his mind is possibly losing the man that he loves more than life itself. Anna realizes that the teens would rather be with their friend, and orders the investigators to the question those on the street.
Mac asks if Lucas can ride in the ambulance with Brandon and the paramedics give the ok. Mac agrees to take Dillon, Maxie and Lulu to GH so they can be there to support their friend. Anna tells him to go, and that she’ll be down later to question them at the hospital.
Noah pulls into Bobbie’s driveway in a hurry. He helps her into the house and begins freaking out. Bobbie tries to pass out from her drunken stupor, but Noah won’t allow it. After regaining his composer, he carries her upstairs and throws her in the shower and turns on the water. He knows that the best thing he can do is….actually he don’t know what he can do. He’s worried not only for Bobbie, but for Brandon to. What does this mean if Brandon dies? No…no…he can’t think about that right now.
In the ambulance, Lucas makes a call to his sister Carly, asking her to meet them at the hospital, there’s been an accident. Lucas attempts to help the paramedics, but they advise him the best thing he can do is to sit back and let them do their jobs.
Back at GH, Patrick & Robin have been called in to work. Via the radio, Patrick has been informed that Brandon has severe trauma to the head and massive internal injuries. Alan gathers a team to be prepared for when their patient enters the hospital. Liz and Epiphany brace themselves for what they might see. The adrenaline flows through the veins of the team of doctors as they hear the sirens and watch as the ambulance pulls up to the main entranceway.
On the next Port Charles: Endgame.....
- The team of doctors work hard to stabilize a severely injured Brandon
- Lucas and the others brace themselves for a long night
- Sonny & Courtney are unaware of the danger that’s ahead
