  1. Well, if it was anything like what he wrote for CAPITOL....!
  2. I've wondered that, too. I do think Patrick Duffy was/is very limited as an actor and that a big reason why they didn't kill off Bobby was because he looked good in a Speedo.
  3. THANK YOU!!! The budget alone had to have been insane! And then you had the moment when Palmer realizes Daisy was still alive and so he (and his Dobermans) chase after her? Jorn Winther produced the hell out of all that.
  4. Oh, wow, you're right! They WERE ripping off "Valley of the Dolls," lol! I think "The Best of Everything" was ripe for a series adaptation, but I'm not sure whether a DAYTIME series was the way to go.
  5. So, what the hell was Cliff and Nina's first wedding, Bergman, lol?
  6. I disagree. I think we've had, what, four Adams? And none of 'em have turned in what I would call a definitive performance. (Not even Justin Hartley, who, IMO, came the closest). All these years later, and I still wonder why this show doesn't just kill him off, along with the rest of Victor's offspring.
  7. Patrick Duffy's concerns about Bobby becoming too goody-goody were legitimate. But what I want to know is why Bobby was allowed to become goody-goody in the first place, when David Jacobs had envisioned Bobby at the outset to be more like Brick from "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." Not killing him off was one thing, but turning him into a near-total saint just because J.R. was so rotten was another thing entirely, lol.
  8. So do most Black men. (I, on the other hand, wanted to be Erica Kane, lol).
  9. Nope. I'm just as anguished as @Vee was to learn that Ben [!@#$%^&*] Gavin once auditioned for Y&R's Adam. (Also known as, the Most Un-Castable Role in Daytime History, lol).
  10. In a way, I don't blame 'em. I've felt for a long time that the mob element needs to be phased out. But, how do you do that without writing out Sonny? He made it clear to Brenda a long time ago that there was no way he could give up that much power, not even for her. So, what's the alternative? Frankly, I'm stumped, lol.
  11. I'll just bet she would, lol! In her case, however, she didn't order Scott Easton or Dr. Ackerman to kidnap Val's twins, have them declared stillborn (which contradicted Val's own memory of their births) and then sell them on the black market. She just made the offhand remark to Easton that got the miserable ball rolling. Now, did Abby take her sweet ass time to tell Val she knew what had happened to her babies? That's another story, lol.
  12. I just hope Sharon doesn't fall for Matt.
  13. I agree and I'll add Y&R to that list, too. Y&R has improved since Sally McDonald became the show runner, but I think the show still lacks vision.
  14. It might've been one of those stories that started before the strike and then became a total mess once the scabs got involved. (You know, like Sonni/Solita on GL, lol?). Regardless, just the premise of Travis inadvertently causing his own daughter to be kidnapped...that's something you can't come back from as a character. They might as well have killed him off at that point.
  15. I'm with @DRW50 and @Taoboi : whatever @Vee had in mind for Serena's return was bound to be better than what we'll actually get from the folks who are paid to write the [!@#$%^&*]. (If they don't end up pairing her with "Nassius," I'll buy a hat with the expressed purpose of eating it).
