I went to see this tonight and it was great.

Johnny Depp was great as was Orlando Bloom.

I loved the way that they lead into the 3rd movie. And there was a very surprising twist at the end.

For some reason the person that played Davy Jones seemed familuar, but I didn't stay around to see who played him.

I loved this movie, had to go to three separate theratres to get a damn seat though. Where I went they even added 2 more time slots because there were so many ppl outside being told it was sold out and leaving. So they quickly on spot(I loved it) made a 11:30pm and 1am showing. I am thinking of going to see it again, something I have never done before.

I cant wait for the third!

My friend who works at our biggest theater here in North East Pennsylvania and has worked there for about seven years said this is the only movie to sell out *every* show all weekend, including the first shows of the day, matinees, and midnight shows, since he's worked there. That's impressive!

I've been to two sell-out movies in my life. Jaws and ID4. ID4 was sold out for three whole days. Fortunately, my son and I got in before the first flood and then we went to Dallas and it was sold out everywhere. Finally got to see it there again and came home, still sold out here. I can hardly wait to see Pirates 2.

    • Today (Thurs May 15) eppy not on paramount *menu* but it's on cbs.com. If you take the cbs episode URL and substituted paramountplus for cbs in the same URL, you get the episode on pplus https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/Huj7bAYV8H6T038u9cXam3bk6QXNkM2Y/ https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/Huj7bAYV8H6T038u9cXam3bk6QXNkM2Y/
    • Really good episode today. Even the characters who usually annoy me, like Chase and Brook Lynn, got some sweet scenes. I also appreciate that they're finally giving Lucky more to do, letting him in on Ric & Ava's blackmail scheme. And those Liz and Lucas scenes were fantastic;  Van Hansis has been bringing such playfulness to the role of Lucas, he brings out the best in scene partners like Laura Wright and Becky Herbst. It was also nice to get Liz's perspective on why her romantic rapprochment with Lucky is moving so slow; it makes perfect sense that she thinks he's not really capable of settling down, even if he wants to be with her.
    • I thought Keith did great as well. His scene with Colby was what sold me. He displayed the emotions that a man who knows he's made a mistake and wants to rectify should have. Its funny how Maurice has been given passes in his acting that other actors have not. What Keith has shown me is that he can atleast keep up with the ladies in his story instead of them acting circles around him when Maurice was playing the role.
    • Also Murder, She Wrote season 3 finale was the week before.
    • When Kat was in Ted's hotel room and he wasn't there, she started to write a note to leave for him, and then thought Why? and texted him instead.  Love that.

    • Thank you. And above all, it's conflict, which is what soap opera is. Not characters just being annoying because a writer rushes through story for them.

    • Maybe Carney and Levin didn't get along, but he got along with Tolan. Who knows. I SO agree about Tolan. I am sure my jaw hit the floor when I watched her first scene. She had been hyped like crazy by the soap mags. They swore she was going to be a sensation like Mulgrew. I thought she had a speech impediment. More likely she just couldn't remember her lines so she ended up slurring them from nervousness. Not everyone can do soap acting, it's very difficult. There's memorizing so many lines, then there's so little rehearsal. I think she was a theater actor. Maybe she was a good one. But when the camera was fixed on her, she just...sucked. I had nothing particular against Nicolette Goulet. She just wasn't Mary. She had no chemistry with Levin. She didn't even look like she belonged in that family (a similar situation when they replaced Sarah Felder with that blond chick who was laughable as a rookie cop). I don't believe it was impossible to recast the role. Kathleen Turner was doing soaps during this era. She would have been a phenomenal Mary. (Not to say that she would have been available, but just to point out there were good actors of that type around).
