Dixie looked great today but she only seemed to be on screen to fill her airtime quota lol no real story movement there. I loved the Erica/Brooke sparring best part of the show I so wish they'd do this more.

I liked the scenes with Dixie and Ryan - it was more character driven story instead of the usual plot driven story we have been getting so much of. However, it may be plot driven as well if you know what's supposedly coming with Ryan, Annie and Emma. I'm so glad Cady grew her hair out - it looks great now, and that they are finally giving Dixie something to wear that isn't dark.

That is always classic! Erica and Brooke have always made a great sparring couple! Brooke should get together with Jeff - I would LOVE to hear Erica's comments about going for her leftovers from more than 20 years ago!

To my surprise I liked the Ryan/Dixie scenes and I hate both characters. IMO they do have great chemistry.

Today is the first day I watched since the Dixie reveal week because I wanted to see the Erica/Brooke fight. What a let down. But I'm not surprised. But I won't complain because Brooke got a summer "story" right?(that lasted 10 seconds)

The music store..my cue to not continue watching. AMC is so cheap, pimping music videos. Do you see GH doing this? No. Why is AMC always the one cheapened by ABC?

The Lily/Jonathan stuff....just plain embarassing. Jeff made me laugh once or twice with annoyance with Lily when filling out the questionnaire but this is just BAD.

Jamal...one scene. In other words: dramatic re-writing and editing as we make this guy who wasn't supposed to be Jamal into Jamal. The Ryan and Dixie scenes were probably added to fill the gap ...or the Jonboy/Lily scenes.

I tuned in today for different reasons. I liked the Erica and Brooke fight. It brought some nostalgia back and it was entertaining to see them trade barbs. Erica was her usual self righteous self and Brooke was her usual right back at cha self. If the writers would only realize that THIS is what fans want to see, they would be better off.

Also, I would much rather have Brooke in a triangle with Adam and Krystal...and Livia and Tom in this thing with Erica, but that's too much like right. I will take what I can get.

All I saw was red, because that music store reminds me of Danielle and Reggie and what should have been. In fact, the Lily and Jon Boy story at the core (running off to NY, getting married, making it as a young married couple) should have been Danielle and Reggie's. How you can write for two disabled characters/teens/whatever (and that should take more research) easier than two black teens is beyond me.

He should have been a Terence recast in afterthought, he looks more like Dondre. Anywho, I have to wonder how long he will be on the show until we know that he is Jamal Cudahy. Whatever...don't care anymore with the casting news.

Since my post was completely negative I will say Connie Fletcher is a great actress. This is the first scene I've seen her in where she could actually act with the material. But Erin is pointless.

The Jamal thing was just weird. They had a while to re-work stuff, I don't see what the problem is. I feel bad for the guy who probably had no idea who his character was or what the hell he was doing the day that scene was taped. I mean they had Tonya Pinkins and Charles Parnell there the say freaking day, they could have done a scene with Jamal, Livia and Derek. Duh!

Wow, with the deadweight away Connie is coming alive again. HEY FRONS....THERE'S YOUR SIGN YOU DUMBASS!!! Pairing an actor with someone who they have NO chemistry with drags them down, especially when the person they have no chemistry with isn't the greatest actor in the world, hell, isn't even a good one at that.

Floved the Brooke/Erica scenes. I wish they would utilize Brooke more often.

He's no Olivier, I know and I know not all folks like him. But as soap hunks go, I like him. He does need to be far away from an Erin pairing. Aiden needs a woman with more fire than I've seen Connie or Erin demonstrate lately. I still ain't feeling Connie's acting. I really liked her and Erin in Canada, but not much since.

I didn't get much from Jamal either, other than my immediate reaction (and you'll be ready to knock me one when you hear it), which to quote my bud casey from her post on another board was a "caramel dipped-Aiden." British/British-hybrid accent, Soft-spoken, smaller build, clean-cut, calm exterior. I know it's too soon to judge the actor or Jamal's character but that was my honest first reaction.

Luuuuuuuuuuuuurve me some Erica and Brooke throwdowns. Always. Those and Erica's throwdowns with Maria, Greenlee and Mary Smythe are perennial faves.

On a related note, I rewatched the scenes in the last night or so from back during the Cambius Murder investigation. Jamie and Reggie were still friends and had been arrested. Brooke had to pick up Jamie at PVPD and Erica was there for Reggie. Erica and Brooke threw down then and it was great. What was also obvious is that, I think it hurt Jamie and Reggie's characters to end the friendship, they were great buds and it gave Erica, Brooke and Jack a point of intersection and source of fun conflict for us. Jamie and Reggie should have been longterm friends, it just makes sense, but it was suddenly dropped for whom? Three guesses. No. Just one. Babe.

I just like seeing Jack and Erica having husband-wife issues and being onscreen for them, not their kids (well not directly). They're a great couple if written for. They've been neglected. More, please.

I almost thought I saw a bit of, "My god...what have I done," (in relation to backing up JR) expression on Babe's face today when she realized J&J were up to some risky hijinks. But alas...
