Tad And Dixie Kiss On AMC

After suffering a setback in their search for daughter Kate, Tad and Dixie take a tentative step toward reconciliation this week. Blame David for the Kate-related stumbling block. MMT says that David's passion for Dixie has returned full-tilt. The love is real, but you know David; when he's really in love, watch out. Vincent Irizarry says that David's MO is simple, "I'm going to get the baby back for her so that she'll love me again." David is very hopeful that he and Dixie can get closer to each other and there is a belief in his heart that that is possible. Especially if he greases the wheels a bit-and in the absence of a solid lead on Kate's whereabouts, David concocts a false one and "helps" Dix pursue it. She is so grateful to David that she submits to a kiss, but Tad catches wind of his rivals machinations and shows up to expose him. Dixie is furious with both men and walks out. MMT says that at this moment, Tad and Dixie are in that love/hate kind of place. Their push/pull continues at the casino bar, where Dixie has gone to drown her sorrows. There, a fight ensues-followed by a passionate kiss. Cady says, "It's heavy man! She says that Mike and her, just go back, ya know? And it's still there. We've never been a couple in real life, but we've been a couple in an alternate life since I was a teenager. There's such a deep resonance there. But it's not necessarily about falling in love all over again. Cady says for Dixie to be with Tad again, psychologically, it's just danger, danger, danger. He's someone she gave everything to and it was just so much pain over and over again. Speaking of pain, time is running out elsewhere in the Valley for the one man who can lead Tad and Dixie to their child: Greg has had enough of being buried alive and is about to reveal Kate's location to his captor when a tremor hits and begins to pour dirt into his shallow grave.

VCR Dates:

Dixie makes an extraordinary request of David on Monday, July 3. On Tuesday, July 4, Kendall is thrown for a loop by Ryan's declaration of love. "She's totally in the dark about his feelings for her," Alicia Minshew observes. "There's all this subtext in their scenes that goes over her head. She'll say to him, 'I love you,' in a nonchalant way as a friend, and he'll want to answer her back and proclaim his love-but so far, he hasn't."

Casting news we've heard already. Colby returns and is part of the big mystery.

The actor who plays Josh says he'll miss IB and he owes him everything since Greg created his character.

Hottest newcomers for the ABC Soaps are:

Jason Thompson (Patrick, GH)

Connie Fletcher (Erin Lavery, AMC)

Kerry Butler (Claudia Reston, OLTL)

Wow if even McTavish's stauchest supporters are speaking up now, then that might just get her out of there too.

I've said it before, Cady McClain is not blindly loyal. If she begins to dislike what McT is handing her, she will speak her mind and will be very open about it. And she has enough blogs to do so! :)

Also, the thing about MEK is that he ALWAYS has a smiley face about the show in the press. He will do anything to support the show in the public eye. Even during the days of Rayfield when Tad was very very backburnered he only was singing praises. He will keep his feelings of discontent in the privacy of the studio.

I just want MMT gone. It's all I have left to want on this show, so I hope it happens. For AMC. They can't continue on like this much longer.

Her leaving wouldn't be enough to get me to watch again, but god, would it take some of the sting off this last year. :)

Also with rumors that Rebecca Budig might be returning, but she won't return unless McTavish is gone, and as much as Frons loves Rebecca I can possibly see him doing whatever it takes to get Rebecca back.

Well if Rebecca comes back, maybe that means Spike will turn to be Ryans and Greenlee's and that poor Kendall will loose Spike. Now that will be a twist, one that I wouldn't like. I can see Greenlee now demanding the baby.

well i certainly hope all this pans out so the zendall fans can continue to get everything their way. let's see MMT gone so rendall will never be revisited, check..Rebecca returning, so Greenlee can reunite with ryan check..

Please don't put words into people's mouths. Some of us do want MMT gone because she's a hack plain and simple.

I adore Rebecca and loved Greenlee till she got with Ryan, so I'd rather Greenlee with David ;)

excuse me, i did not put words in people's mouths. i made a general speculation and was not specific about any one poster. it's my opinion from everything i have read around the net that this MIGHT be the case.

I can not see Greenlee with David simply because of Leo. But if she returns I do see her causing trouble for Kendall concerning the baby. I believe that Madden lied to her about being able to carry a baby.

Madden new that Greenlee would never give her baby up for adoption even with his gentle manipulation.

But giving Spike to Greenlee would devestate Kendall.

As for MMT, I just find her writing frustrating (i.e. JR no accountability, Babe a complete twit, unrealistic court cases, unrealistic medical procedures, writing that makes the characters act OUT of character).

AMC has done better and deserves better. We will not all get exactly what we want as far as storylines go, but I think that the overall quality can be better as well as the details of the show.

the writing is just too plot driven to make any sense. it has been for a very long time. i actually blame the writing for the fact that i will probably never see Rendall's true potential to be a couple again. there was no need for their breakup to be that nasty. it drove away so many fans from rendall and it makes me so angry.i'm trying to accept it, i really am,lol.

No offense intended, guess I read it wrong

okay let me clarify i am not saying all zendall fans feel this is the case, i am saying that IMHO zendall fans will benefit from those things happening! sorry if i came across as putting words in people's mouths.

Sadly I don't think Frons gives a dam what the actors think. He's pretty much willing to lose anyone.

EXCEPT.... Susan Lucci...okay Frons probably secretly would love to ditch old lady Kane but he knows he could never do it. Susan's contract is up soon, I wonder what she thinks of the writing? She may not be as pissed off as others but she can't be too happy. And she was intrumental (or so they say) in getting Shapiro to fire McT in 99....Susan rarely exerts her influence though, and usually I admire her for it but in this case I wish she would ;)
