Bad news for "Lumi" fans: In the wake of their wrecked wedding, Lucas and Sami are drifting toward other lovers on Days of our Lives.

Sami (Alison Sweeney) will grow closer to her entrepreneurial ex, Austin, as they become roommates and coworkers at his new cosmetics company. Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) will be their fierce business rival after Titan honcho Victor Kiriakis offers him the executive job Austin declined. "All of this kills Lucas," Dattilo tells TVGuide.com. "Lucas wants to bury his brother and show Sami who the real man in town is."

Sami is sure to notice the new looker in Lucas' life. Days has cast daytime rookie Sung Hi Lee as Sophie, a sexy new waitress at Alice's restaurant. "Lucas meets Sophie when he's covering for Shawn as the bartender — as every alcoholic should do," Dattilo laughs. "I guess he's spending time on the other side of the bar for a change. Anyway, this girl brings out his inner fire. There's sexual tension and, next thing you know, they're laying [kisses] on each other. I make sure to do as many takes as necessary for those kissing scenes!"

FYI, the Korean-born Lee is a former Playboy Playmate who has added va-va-voom to such TV shows as V.I.P., Mortal Kombat and The King of Queens. She also had a small role in Renee Zellweger's black comedy Nurse Betty, about a widow's delusional obsession with a soap star. She first airs on Days on Oct. 18.

It doesn't really bother me, to be honest.

As long as she can act....I really hope this girl has something going for her other than her bra size...

I too don't really care, especially since she is a temporary character.

She will be gone so fast it won't even matter, so we get some good eye candy for a few episodes, I like that....

BTW I do remember her from the movie NURSE BETTY, she played one of the lesbian characters in that soap that was featured in that film, how hilarious.

I was wondering what was going on with Lucas! So far, they've been dealing with how Sami is handling this, but we haven't seen much of Lucas and Will. I'm glad they're not being forgotten in this storyline.

She is going to be history when Carrie comes back. At least from Lucas' story she will be. They may keep her on just as a waitress and we will see her interacting with others just in that capacity.

Ah, but now there are rumors that the role of Mike Horton is being recast, and he should be back in Salem by Christmas! So I'd say, not so fast, Austin! (I like Carrie with Mike!)

So Nicole may have a chance with Austin after all! Hey, if he can get Sami to grow up and clean up her act, maybe he can straighten Nicole out!

Also, I wouldn't characterize an actor as a "porn star" because she posed for a girly magazine. Has she been in any porn movies? If not, then she isn't a porn star.

Sophie seems pretty cute and smart. And I agree, it's nice to see a little more diversity on Days. I can't remember their EVER having an Asian actor on the show before.

I do find Sophie funny. I think she was in some porn movies but I might be wrong.
