Sharon's spacey persona and SC's acting is just one of many of Y&R's problems.

Along with devoting an entire episode to the amazing love story of two recurring players. Lauren, who has a department store empire to run decides to take on another demanding job and spends her first morning loved up in her office.

The natural story would be Lauren facing up to the changes in retail and having to close branches, fire people etc.

But no, everyone on Y&R is massively successful and if they're not for a while, it's no issue b/c they'll be back on top in an instant.

Billy, whose Mom is seriously ill, cancels a trip to see her b/c his gf is under the weather. OK.

Yep. And the Lauren stuff is bound to be filler.

In short order, Phyllis will lose the company and Lauren will disappear again. It's another two-week Josh Griffith arc.

It also sickens me to hear Lauren talk about Phyllis as someone who worked so hard to get where she is and as someone who's reached her dreams.

SHE STOLE THE COMPANY. SHE DID NOTHING TO EARN A DAMN THING.

I feel your pain.

Yeah, other than the Malcolm stuff and Tracy and seeing Josh Morrow...that was torture.

Uh-oh Sharon.. you in trouble girl. Matt’s gonna get you! Interesting to see people commenting on SC’s acting this week because I was literally thinking the opposite. I thought “oh wow Sharon is actually seeming normal again and not acting all spacey”.

Lily and Holden seem to have a lot of sexual chemistry and I don’t know how to feel about them being siblings now.. lol

Is Sally the only young woman who gets pregnant in this show these days? I genuinely don’t care about her..

I am not gonna lie I’m slightly curious to see what a Victor and Diane pairing would look like today. I know they were together years ago but I didn’t watch back then.

I thought this was so funny, since we all knew they weren't going to show the trip (not even a scene of Billy speaking to Jill in a redressed hotel room or cafe), but they were so lazy they couldn't even do the usual have Billy pretend he went and then sit at Society and recap everything. Same difference really.

Josh Griffith is an awful writer, but I guess this is his idea of how he can save money as Executive Producer.

The truth is that the ratings are stable -- and even go up when he pulls a trick like "SHEMAR IS BACK!!!" -- and he's discovered he can get away with this kind of crap. Why write for Jess Walton and show Jill when you can just throw in a script mention and that's it? Why cast Charlie and Mattie when you can mention getting a text from them? Why recast Summer when....you get the idea.

On Friday, we heard Michael say that Summer Conglomerates (whatever the eff that is) is failing. Why should we care when there's no Summer on canvas?
