When the Ryan returns story took off while Genie was off contract, they were very careful when Laura returned to play up a disconnect in their marriage and that they were not intimate before breaking up and the reveals starting. I can’t remember if they had Ava sleep with him though. But I had hoped they had finally learned not to tell these stories, after years of nonsense like this. Marty and Todd while she had no memory but Todd did comes to mind.

I know it’s just a silly plot on a not serious show. But it bothers me, especially right now when our culture is at war with women’s autonomy.

Lulu's constant violations bother me too and the show just keeps doubling down. Charlotte's existence is such an affront. Mothers and daughters, especially teens, clash but I never feel that Charlotte even cares about Lulu. She's just there. Even in this story, it feels as if Lulu was just inserted into Maxie's place and it won't matter that that she had sex with a man under false pretenses.

GH loves to have Lulu violated and act like she's ridiculous for bringing up any concern. It's not even like she harps on it or constantly talks about it. She's just considered in the wrong for discussing the reasons she is not being welcoming enough to Valentin or Britt. She should literally get restraining orders on them for real.

I owe RP an apology. He's not the world's best actor, but he did have some instinct to add some dimension to the imposter. He was told not to, according to his new interview. So, I can't put this all on him. This was a choice by the writers.

Well, she's not in the wrong. I wasn't even around when Val did what he did, but I know the history so why wouldn't she have issues? As for Britt...well...I was here for that history...and the writing is not helping. Lulu has every right to feel a way about Britt...who still calls Rocco Ben. What mother wouldn't?

The writing could still play layers and not have Lulu come across in the wrong. Not that she's wrong at all. It's just that darn propped/Frank's Fave writing that is an annoying writing flaw on a otherwise well moving soap. I just don't see how they don't get it and...well...write better.

The other thing about that interview is RP indicates Cassius is just a 'henchman' for Sidwell and Cullum. Which, in addition to being deeply tedious as neither of them are very interesting as villains, marks a change. Last year it was clear Sidwell answered to someone else, and I got the impression Cullum was not that man when he appeared. It makes me think they decided RP could not play the Big Bad (accurate).

He also talks about Cassius being humanized, which makes me think FV wants to see if they can keep him. Pass.

Van was over the top, but it was entertaining. Like I said he's at least half alive unlike, say, Mo lol.

I do buy grief comes in waves, but that was more a tsunami than a wave lol. Van is fine as Lucas to me. He just very hit or miss in the acting department. His style doesn't really fit the more "low key" GH acting.

Laura is not a great mayor, but I am more curious as to why Kevin is dragging a toddler Ace around the world. That seems inconvenient.

Yeah, I will take OTT soap ham Van over a lot of these folks. He's always a good time as Lucas, he's genuinely presenting a gay male onscreen, and he often does good work. When he doesn't I'm still having fun lol
