Leslie has Bill Gates money, it seems. I think it goes too far.

Also, while I don't mind Leslie flirting with other guys -- and even all of the guys -- I wish she didn't slobber over them and embarrass herself. I don't like Leslie written as this self-unaware.

When she recently reminded us that she also donated to the country club, I had to wonder how much money has Leslie actually received. Her first check was for 1 million. She would have had to multiple that several times to do half of what she has done.

For me, that's the worst bungle (so far) on the entire show.

We saw her get a million dollars. Presumably, she might now have received a second quarterly distribution of a million. At max, she's got access to 2 million dollars. With which she's paid cash for a mansion in an elite neighborhood, torn it down, and is building a monstrosity of a new mansion with a mote. And had a new building constructed for the country club. And funded 50% of a free clinic. And paid for Peach's medical stay. And paid for some random man's hospital bill. Even to a child, that's a ridiculous thing to believe.

We really don't know the ins and outs of Leslie's distributions at all. I'm not going to judge any of that. What I do have a problem with is if they haven't made sets for either the clinic or her mansion. Those are musts at this point so hopefully they'll appear. I don't fault budget restrictions in modern daytime up to a point but this story needs to move beyond Garland, local eateries and the D'Angelo Barksdale Memorial Corner.

What a great find in the actress playing Deanna. She is really good, and her scenes in Thursday's episode were well done. I was disappointed in everyone else's lack of acting in those scenes.

The truth is that she out acted Lauren Buglioli in those scenes. Her Vanessa is just not good at all when emotion and vulnerability is called for.

Yeah...she might be the weakest in the cast when it comes to those heavy emotional scenes. I was surprised at how Deanna ate her up on what was likely her first day.

original release date: Friday, March 13, 2026 | writers: Teresa Zimmerman, Cheryl L. Davis | director: Michael V. Pomarico

Thoughts:

  • It appears Derek has found purpose with the free clinic, and the first mention that someone could buy Dana has piqued his interest to new heights. Could he be her undoing?

  • Dang, Rashad. You are kind of cold to Grayson in that moment. Are you working for your boy Derek, I suppose?

  • Not Katherine defending Joey to Donnell right now... what a turnaround! Wowza. Did not expect her to do that.

  • Good to finally see the Anita Baby launch for ChelseaKat.

  • Wow. A tough conversation is taking place between Joey and Vanessa, and it also reflects the times in which Joey likely grew up. That is just what went on, unfortunately.

  • I sure hope the cameras in the elevator do not have audio attached or enabled. That would be unfortunate.

  • Oh Donnell, you poor summer child, you have no idea just how much Vanessa knows about Heart Attach and is very intimate with them.

  • Joey has a sister and there is a clear reason he does not bring her up. That is a major anvil, and part of me feels like I might just know who that sister could possibly be.

  • So Heather Armstrong is the younger sister who wanted to join in on daddy's business? How interesting. Makes me wonder if she has something in the works against her older brother?

  • Nice to see Vernon and Martin catching up over a drink. I love their grandfather-grandson relationship. It is a very solid and safe space for the two of them.

  • Hmm... what was that reaction to Donnell wishing Douglas were still alive? What was that...?

  • It is heartbreaking what Grayson's mom is going through and the assisted living situation sounds horrible but also natural. I know a few places like what he is describing and it sucks knowing your loved one is not being tended to in the way you would hope they would be in those places.

  • The sheer look of petrified fear on Vernon's face about Katherine's plans for the wing was hilarious. Haha. They have unleashed a formidable force.

  • Lia is fully aware of Grayson's actions, especially since she's tracking his break and noting Ashley as a distraction—something she has not done with anyone else in the hospital. And that threat of death absolutely sealed it for me. She means BUSINESS!

Notes:

  • Zimmerman and Davis continued on with the brilliant work done yesterday. It felt like a seamless transition. Brilliantly done.

  • Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) continues to turn out outstanding performances. She is so in-tune with her scripts and her character, and it shows in the end result.
