On another topic, the internet has me cracking up as usual:

On other corners of the Internet streets, a lot people are getting tired of Leslie eating the show. (I've also heard other grumblings but I won't get into that 👀) The show needs to start over with the Dana/Leslie character and the first step is to arrest, and convict Leslie for Laura Peterson's attempted murder and have her spend some time in prison. It worked for Michael Baldwin on the Young & the Restless. Have a good ole fashion daytime soap opera criminal trial with witnesses on the stand, a judge and jury and audible gasps from the gallery (with Duprees sitting in the gallery) when revelations are revealed. In the meantime, have it be revealed that Ted (who has been in therapy with a therapist (Napiera Groves) and comes to the conclusion that he has been sexually assaulted by Leslie and having been called by Leslie's defense attorney as a hostile witness, Ted is badgered by the prosecution and holding back tears and shame, has to admit to the sexual assault, to which Leslie, in a panic, admits that she lied because Ted was passed out and couldn't respond to her advances, stunning Eva, Nicole, Martin, Kat and the entire Dupree clan. If Leslie is ever going to be viable, the stigma of her sexual assault against Ted has to be undone, better a liar and a schemer than a r@pist.

There is so much more that I could write. In fact, I could write this script, sitting in Lotus pose but I don't give away my writing for free. I could write some fantastic jailhouse scenes between Leslie and Allison (remember her?) and Leslie trying to plot an appeal and trying to beg, beseech and guilt a repulsed Eva on board to help her in appealing her case. But, in the meantime, rest the character and allow the wonder Tricia Mann-Grant to audition for and perform other work in other venues.

A word on yesterday's basketball idea. It would have worked more had it been One on One, Ted vs Izaiah, we didn't need the others imo. And not showing the action on court rendered the idea meaningless.

Thoughts:

• Not Ashley eavesdropping on Lia and Madison's conversation. Careful, Ash, that might get you caught in some hot water.

• So Kial wants to stick around in Fairmont Crest? Oh, he is serious about this! He wants to land Nicole over Carlton. We love to see it.

• A Thelma and Louise reference? I knew Vanessa was my girl! YES!

• Damn. Bill wants that prodigal son from Hayley. That is insanity. He seems very determined about this.

• It is heartbreaking seeing how much this is taking its toll on Vernon.

• "Nothing gets past a Garland nurse." You are right, Lia, about that.

• Hayley needs to stop the charade. I feel like she wants the baby more than she admits to herself. She has fallen for Bill more than she did for her own con.

• Barrington Towers? Loving the name. Sounds very, very luxurious. Could the front possibly, at some point, look like this? Or possibly even better?

• Ashley you need to stop lying to yourself: you and Grayson are most definitely more than 'just friends'.

• While Kial is making direct moves to Nicole, Carlton is working over her father by checking in on Anita. Candies for her and liquor for Vernon? Oh yeah, the ass-kissing is happening.

• Go on, Nicole, GET YOUR MAN! And look at Vanessa eye-fücking them with her eyes. I love this so much. Vanessa just earned a big FAT commission.

• Ashley calling out the ongoing discussions that just happen at the nurse's hub is hilarious to me. But does Lia have an issue with the kiss or with... something else?

• The work? Why do I feel like Grayson and Lia are working on something that is not hospital-related or on the proper books?

• Damn bïtch. This is why you do not do public meetings like this. For con artists, Hayley and Randy are dumber than stacks of hair.

Notes:

• Two outstanding days of breakdowns and now we have a hiccup, and it shows. There is such poor flow in today's episode.

• Today's mixture of characters and storylines was much more enjoyable to me than yesterday's, despite the letdown in breakdown writing.

• Dare I say... was that a genuine, stomach-shaking laugh from Clifton Davis (Vernon) in his scenes with Robert Christopher Riley (Carlton)? It was perfectly timed.

• I love how east coast the Garland Memorial set is. Reminds me of hospitals around here so much and I appreciate that so much.

• Oh! We got the exterior of Nicole's home! How nice! Tight but nice.
