23 hours ago23 hr Webmaster Need To Know Ten weeks into the 2025-2026 television season, “The Bold and the Beautiful” was the top soap among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.38 rating), setting new season highs in both categories and among Total Viewers (2.667 million). Other shows setting season highs in various categories include both half hours of “The Price is Right,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The View” “TODAY 3rd Hour” and “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” among others. “Beyond the Gates” set a new series low among Total Viewers (1.451 million) due to CBS factoring in the Wednesday, November 26 repeat broadcast (Episode #103) into the show’s weekly average. As expected, NBC’s annual telecast of the “National Dog Show” was the most-watched and highest-rated daytime broadcast program during the week of November 24-28, 2025 with 12.8 million viewers tuning in, following the network’s telecast of the annual “Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Day Parade” (25.4 million). The special dedicated to awarding the best of the best among our furry friends was up +500,000 viewers over last year’s telecast and was virtually on par year over year among Women 18-49 (3.33 vs. 3.39) and Women 25-54 (3.55 vs. 3.66). Drew Carey Hosted by Drew Carey, “The Price is Right” was once again the top regularly scheduled program with both half hours leading the way across the board. The second half-hour marked a new season high among Women 25-54 (0.59 rating) and Total Viewers (4.511 million), while the first half-hour set new highs among Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), Women 25-54 (0.56 rating) and Total Viewers (3.967 million). Among the four network daytime dramas, “The Young and the Restless” marked a new season high among Total Viewers (2.977 million) and tied its season high among Women 25-54 (0.24 rating). Compared to one week earlier, the long-running soap opera was up +0.06 among Women 18-49 (0.24 rating vs. 0.18 rating). That said, “The Bold and the Beautiful” outranked its lead-in among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.38 rating vs. 0.36 rating), marking season highs for the half-hour soap opera, which also set a new season high among Total Viewers (2.667 million). After last week’s season highs, “General Hospital” came down just a bit, falling behind “Beyond the Gates” among Women 18-49 (0.16 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.22 rating vs. 0.24 rating), with the ABC drama tied for second-to-last place among Women 18-49 and second to last among Women 25-54, only ahead of “GMA3” in both demographics. While “Beyond the Gates” tied its season high among Women 18-49 and saw its best performance overall in six weeks (since the week of October 13-17, 2025), the CBS drama marked a new series low among Total Viewers due to the inclusion of its Wednesday, November 26 repeat broadcast of episode #103. “TODAY 3rd Hour” (2.282 million) and “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” (1.677 million) both saw significant gains among Total Viewers, up +318,000 and +360,000, respectively, from one week earlier. Wrap-Up What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of November 24-28, 2025 among Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including week-to-week and year-over-year comparisons. Note*: Figures under the 2024 column for “Beyond the Gates” are compared to the performance of the former time slot occupant, “The Talk.” “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” is compared with the performance of its predecessor, “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” “GMA3” is compared with its predecessor, “GMA3: What You Need to Know.” Additionally, 2024 comparisons, particularly Households and Total Viewers, were unavailable to this publication for most daytime broadcast shows, unlessed stated otherwise, until at least February 2025. 22 hours ago22 hr Member Holiday bumps for some soaps. General Hospital and Beyond The Gates dropped. I've noticed CBS isn't promoting Beyond The Gates like it once did.
20 hours ago20 hr Member Why would CBS include a repeat in BTG's average??? That makes absolutely no sense to me.
20 hours ago20 hr Author Webmaster 4 minutes ago, skiman12082004 said:Why would CBS include a repeat in BTG's average??? That makes absolutely no sense to me.It was likely a last-minute decision to air a repeat on Wednesday, considering only two original episodes aired that week, particularly as 103 and 104 (aired on Thanksgiving Day) are so closely tied to each other. As a result, at least three originals are expected to air during the week of December 29-January 2, 2025.CBS is airing College Football on December 31, 2025, preempting its daytime lineup, particularly Beyond the Gates, with the game beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET.
18 hours ago18 hr Member How much notice do networks have to give Nielsen to mark something as a special airing if it wasn't because of a news pre-emption? The Wed repeat for BTG was announced here the week before. Feels like another dropped ball by CBS regarding this show, like not alerting the Canadian companies when they planned to air reruns. The show had probably the best debut of any soap since we had access to demo numbers, and they held up well until the end of the summer before collapsing after the second full week of repeats. On linear, it has shed more of its W18-49 numbers from month one to month nine compared to any other soap debut. For what it's worth, this was a good indicator on how long the shows lasted. I didn't include The City as it was a spinoff in the same timeslot as Loving, but it did slightly worse than Sunset Beach - just a few decimals over -25%.Sunset Beach 19971.5 (Jan 6- Jan 31)1.125 (Sep 8-Oct 3)-25%Port Charles 1997/19981.75 (Jun 2- Jun 27)1.633 (Feb 2 -Feb 27)-7%Passions 1999/20000.95 (Jul 5- Jul 30)1.2 (Mar 6 - Mar 31)+26%Beyond The Gates 20250.2275 (Feb 28 - Mar 17)0.1375 (Oct 27 -Nov 21)-40% Edited 17 hours ago17 hr by bongobong
17 hours ago17 hr Member But none of those other shows had streaming and social media to paint a picture. Yes, do I want BTG to be higher in the ratings, absolutely. I just think there is more to it than just the linear numbers we have access to.
12 hours ago12 hr Member I've been saying that there is a lack of promotion and not enough social media official channel activity for months now. There hasn't even been 1 complete year yet. Thanks for the article @Errol !
9 hours ago9 hr Member I agree that the promotions for BTG seem to have decreased, and I think those weeks of repeats messed with momentum for the show. That being said, I've gone from being a daily viewer the first six months or so to maybe once or twice a week now. And, when I do tune it, it feels like absolutely nothing has happened since the last time I watched which isn't good. There was all that build up to Winter Fest, and then nothing happened there. It feels like everything has been in a holding pattern forever. I want this show to succeed so badly, but it has to pick up the pace and have more exciting beats within each storyline and some twisty cliffhangers.

There hasn't even been 1 complete year yet. Thanks for the article @Errol !I've talked about this before. I feel like the official channels have active social media but the people working it don't know what to post to actually build engagement. The cast does a better job of posting things that go viral than the official channels. Even when it comes to clips from the show, they rarely post the proper highlight clips. I'm curious what the show has planned for season two. I do think they had a successful first season but the show still has room to improve and grow. I do find it troubling they kept their entire cast and didn't make any changes (Ashley, Tomas, Derek). If it wants to compete with the big leagues, it can't be running a charity and keeping actors and characters who don't work just because they like them as people. I also think season two needs to invest in some big name casting which is the only way they will get promo going forward. They good a big initial push but we all knew that after that the promo budget would be gone, as it is for the other soaps. The only other way a soap can get a big buzz is through casting. Greg Vaughn was a smart casting choice but I do think it's disappointing he was ultimately only recurring and will likely be a slow build considering his screentime thus far. That is not good to maintain the viewers he may bring in. Additionally, with it being a Black soap, they need to lean into that and cast a well-known Black actor. I will say it until it's done but the person they bring needs to be Victoria Rowell. Y&R is their #1 soap and she is a huge star people have been begging to return. Rowell, on contract, could be what causes Y&R viewers to truly sample the show which could seriously build their audience similar to Sheila crossing over to B&B. They could bring her in as a new character (Hawthorne wife? Dante Green's new wife? Doug's mom?) or if they really wanna push the Y&R crossover element, they could make her Dru and ultimately move Devon and/or Abby to the show which would create a legitimate stream to do regular crossovers between the two shows. Y&R is no longer using Devon or Abby so it wouldn't be a loss to them and would be a huge gain to BTG.

2 hours ago2 hr Author Webmaster Paramount's recent layoffs following Skydance's formal acquisition impacted Beyond the Gates, with two of the show's three publicists let go.SmithHouse, which handles publicity for CBS' daytime lineup, primarily The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal, and plays supporting roles with The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, took over publicity last month for Beyond the Gates with the remaining publicist continuing in their role. That said, CBS pulled back on marketing and promotion of its daytime lineup in December 2023. Beyond the Gates was fortunate to receive any promotion this year simply because it was new.

So perhaps the remaining CBS publicists via SmithHouse aren't really savvy as to what/how to promote BTG?Earlier this year, and even a few months ago, that P&G was doing the best at promoting BTG, holding live events in various cities.I think that currently, the best BTG promotion is from the cast social media ig and tiktoks -- they do a great job -- but --- that doesn't really promote the show unless mainstream media (or CBS) reposts/regrams what the actors post.
