Rory has chemistry with lots of his co-stars. Instead of pairing him with a day bit player, they should have paired him with either Elizabeth or Chase. Michael and Elizabeth had lots of chemistry during their scenes recently, and his chemistry with Chase was off the charts!

Amazingly I think Michael being paired with Liz is even less likely than him ever being paired with a man.

What's the quick BTS story with Liz being hated or RH not being liked (or whatever's been inferred here)? I'm curious what's going on there since she used to be such a beloved character.

And where is Robin - is she still in PC, just offscreen? I've been curious since Emma has been featured lately. I know Patrick died so he's not around.

Patrick is not dead; Patrick and Robin live in California with their son, Noah.

OH - haha, my bad. I could have sworn I saw on the Fandom site I use that he was dead, but I just double-checked and I had that wrong. :)

The biggest issue with Liz seems to be certain writers allegedly not liking her because they see her as an obstacle to pairings they prefer (like Jason/Carly), and resentment toward her from some at the show for having a passionate fan base. She was briefly let go or almost let go by this regime.

Back when a different regime was in place she was briefly let go in part because they brought back Lucky and wanted him to have a different relationship that would not involve her. They were very clear as to their view of the character, having Lucky say she only had value in his life when she was bleeding in the snow after being raped. I'd guess her ties to Jason were a factor then too as multiple regimes hate that relationship.

I can't believe I actually enjoyed today's Sonny scenes. Ric Hearst really does bring out the best in all his scene partners!

Oh that's awful! Sounds like nothing RH has done, but moreso writer preferences. And when the character gets treated that way, I can see the fanbase getting even more vocal and riled up. I've always liked Liz way back in the day, but wasn't sure if the character went off-track since.

Another good cliffhanger today, for modern-day soaps... who do we think showed up - Ezra?

Wow what a talent - how awesome. I'm guessing by that long Lulu stare at Lois, Lulu figured out something was going on there with Gio's real parentage?

Yes. I'm sure we all can understand why Frank hired this immensely talented, and handsome young man 😂

As for Lulu, around that time she had been doing some snooping and found out that Dante and Brook Lynn had a child somewhere out there. And when she saw how proud and choked up Lois was during Gio's performance, she realized that he was the child.

The scene where Rocco blasted Dante for hypocrisy was great, mainly for the performances and the drama. The Gio retcon has given more drama than I'd feared. I just wish this show allowed for more nuanced writing as they don't need to make Dante such a heavy without better reasons.

(as I type the names out, Rocco, Gio and Dante make me expect a Mario or a Luigi to pop up)

And it was a huge part of why Jonathan Jackson quit that run. He hated what they were doing and the almost unrelenting sadness Lucky was enduring. It was also one of his asks on this return, to repair that relationship, and it was clear none of that was a priority onscreen.

He’s my problem with Martin. For whatever reason, Michael Knight is not generating any heat with anyone as far as romantic relationships. You have Alexis, Ric, and Diane’s wig as lawyers and Molly as an ADA. If you want a lawyer who is funny and brings some scheming to the table Scott Baldwin is there ready to use. I do not understand this at all.

And I don’t hate the Jacinda actress. She would be fine in other circumstances. But this Michael is the most viable younger male lead the show has had in ages. You don’t put a dayplayer into that story as a viable relationship.

And wasn't Martin sanctioned at all for the Quartermaine estate mess??? I thought that would be his exit from the show.

-- Family drama can be great, but Dante is acting such a fool that it's ridiculous.

I actually don't hate the Jacinda actress either. She's just bland and out of her league with Rory's Michael. Maybe if the show developed her more as Nina's snarky assistant or made her stand out in some way it could be a fun fling down the road. Jacinda wouldn't necessarily bother me in some recurring capacity.

I know the show is trying to develop some pattern with Michael and thinks this is similar to the Abby romance, but there was some innocence in the Abby romance. Michael was barely an adult and it was kind of sweet. Michael is way too old, too experienced, and too jaded to think this romance will work.

I don't think Tracy or anyone else has done anything about Martin and the will.
