Welcome back, Liam!

I still have no idea where they're going with this storyline, but it's nice to see him. And even though Jeremy stepping in to be his substitute mentor seems really random, I'm not against it. For the first time, Jeremy as a teacher actually made a little sense to me lol I wonder if the two of them bonding is going to mean something somewhere down the line, or if Days is gonna go with what we speculated about on here a while back. If they do, I just hope they don't screw up the timeline. I'm also wondering if Liam's interest in the Dimeras and Abe and Theo's relationship with them is going to mean something as well.

Speaking of Abe, I liked that he and Paulina comforted each other about Theo and that Abe was able to share his fears with someone. Abe's perspective is a very important part of this storyline that needs to be utilized more. I liked the way his fears and worries were juxtaposed against Theo's determination and persistence to find a way out of the crypt, and to comfort Chad too. Theo using his own past with losing his mother to help Chad see what Thomas and Charlotte are going through was a good idea.

And yeah, I'm not sure about Steve moving in with Stephanie and Alex either. Even with Stephanie having a stalker, it seems a little stupid and unnecessarily campy. They deserve a better story than this. And like I said before, Days doesn't need humor as much as everybody thinks it does. Their final scenes weren't bad though and I have no problem with them suspecting that Jeremy might be the stalker, mostly because of what it could lead to. Hopefully, that will lead to this storyline, as a whole, flowing into a better storyline for Alex and Stephanie.

Btw, if we took a shot every time Stephanie said "Papa" today, we'd all be passed out in 10 minutes 😂😂😂

Have all the adult Stephanies called Steve "Papa"? I think Shelley Henig's version did, but I can't recall. I don't generally find it as annoying as Charlotte on GH calling Valentin "Papa", but it seems like a dated and odd choice for the character of Stephanie especially since she didn't find out he was alive until she was an adult.

Yeah. I think all the adult Stephanie’s have called him that. I don’t mind it but for like the first half of today’s show, it felt constant 😂😂

And agreed, that it’s not as grating as when Charlotte says it. Or the way that RSW pronounces some words (Ontie, Damarea, etc.) 😂😂😂

Yeah, it normally doesn't bother me exactly. Steve just doesn't feel like a "Papa" to me lol.

The ending was odd too. Didn't Jeremy openly admit he was ambidextrous to Steve episodes ago? That wasn't a secret lol.

I haven't watched all week, but I'll probably watch today's episode to see Liam.

They're moving slow with this storyline, but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. There's so much that they can do with Liam, and based on the Alan Locher interview, Hank really seems to be enjoying it.

He got the worst exit. I thought his exit was okay, but it was disappointing that they wrote him off.

It was.

There was still a lot that could be done with his character. His feud with Tate, being in love with Holly but sleeping with Ari, etc. I think he could've driven storylines for the younger crowd a lot better than Sophia going psycho can, even though PM's acting was a little... ehhh 😂

Well, the day I think we've all been looking forward to is finally here: welcome back Peter Blake!

I admit, I have a few reservations though. I wish that they had been able to get Jason Brooks back for this but for obvious reasons, that can't happen lol and I was also a little cautious when I read that interview where Dan Gauthier admitted that he hadn't done any research about the character. But I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. There's still a lot that can be done with Peter. And hopefully, he gets to have scenes with Jack and Jennifer at some point, not only just to have that closure, but also because they're involved in this storyline too because of Chad. But I did enjoy his reunion with Kristen, and that he got to meet Chad and Theo for the first time. But yeah, it really is time for them to get out the damn crypt lol. I enjoyed a lot of scenes in there, but at the same time, I wasn't a big fan of the storyline, in general.

I thought that Roman and Kate were used effectively today. But again, with that Brady Pub music. I never knew that you could square dance to 'Jingle Bells' 😂😂😂

I like that Johnny had Roman and Kate to talk to about him temporarily stepping in to run Dimera, and that they each provided him with a different perspective on whether or not to take the job. And I hope he does take it, mostly because of the potential conflict that can be drawn from that. Johnny stepping in could lead to a lot of good storylines for everyone around him, especially Chanel, their relationship and also because we now know that Kate had an ulterior motive in talking to him. I actually didn't see that one coming and I hope Days really runs with it. This could go in so many different directions and Kate's part in it adds another dynamic that could be really good as well. If Days hadn't rushed through Johnny's anger about Sami's rape and that toxic Dimera legacy, this would have been the perfect opportunity for him to try to sabotage and bankrupt the company, as a way of finally ending that toxic legacy, which would have been great family drama. I wouldn't mind him still trying to do that either lol and Johnny looked good today too. His shirt is something that I would wear.

And I'm really enjoying Kate and Ari's scenes. They work well together and I like that we get to see their relationship onscreen. Kate being the one to basically give Ari the courage to tell Gabi that she was taking the internship at Dimera, and not a job at GabiChic was a good idea.

Speaking of Gabi, she has a new office set... and if it means that they're finally phasing out that ugly Salem Inn room, I'm all for it. I did have mixed feelings about Philip's declaration to Gabi though. I like the idea of it, but I also feel like they rushed it a little. Philip almost sounded like he was madly in love today and I didn't even realize that he and Gabi were that serious yet lol maybe we should have seen their relationship grow and play out more onscreen. Unless Philip is playing her for some reason, or secretly already knows about her having teamed up with Tony.

That's probably because no one else is dumb enough to employ her. But, hey, it's only my opinion! ;)

I've got some catching up to do and hopefully watch Thursday and Friday's episodes this weekend.

I have a cross-country flight Monday, so I'm saving this past Wednesday's ep through Monday's to download off Peacock and watch in-flight to pass the time. But I'm eager to see DG as Peter.
