Dan O'Connor and David Kreizman would feel like going from one downmarket urgent care to idk, hospice?

I did enjoy tuning in for the anniversary eps, even if E.J. as MC was a bit wild. "Many of John Black’s family are here with us tonight. Many of whom I’ve tried to kill. Our next speaker is another one of his lovely daughters I’ve fúcked."

I keep meaning to watch more of those but I'm agog to learn EJ had that role. He gunned John down and John was left in a coma for months. He raped Sami (and it's not as if that story has been forgotten). I know Salem loves a redeemed villain but still...

I will say I think DF is quite a good recast from whenever I've tuned in for stints off and on. (I went through a good portion of June and August before this) His slipping the shiv with Will about yet another stepfather was great. In the past there were times I couldn't take him seriously (it was mainly the hair) but I think he's strong enough, particularly with Ali. And I'll never fully embrace Martha's Belle, but under the recent circumstances what the hell, why not at this point? They seem to have acknowledged again that E.J. is (to put it mildly) a rake and darker hat, in no way a hero, and DF (I am not going to attempt to remember how to spell his name several Thanksgiving drinks in) really plays up the snide sleaze as well as the deeper, more complicated man.

I was really liking the circumstances surrounding the Horton family Thanksgiving today.

It all felt like real family drama. I like how it was broken down between Jennifer trying to get Thomas over his anger about Chad, and Jack explaining to Julie why he and Jennifer are going ahead with the lawsuit, and how they eventually all reacted to Chad not showing up for dinner. I’m glad that we’re finally getting Jack’s POV in this storyline. It definitely needs to have a bigger part in it. And all the talk about Doug was really sweet 😊😊

The green color in the dining room was a little ugly though 😂😂😂

But I’m also glad that JJ was included. And that he found out about Philip and Gabi. I wouldn’t mind a Philip/Gabi/JJ triangle. There’s a lot that can be done with the three of them.

And I did kind of like the nerdiness of the Hernandez family Thanksgiving as well, even though Leo was annoying, and I really, really hope he doesn’t hurt Javi in the end. But I agree Javi, stop freeloading off your cousin and get your own place 😂😂

Btw, did they forget that Philip is Arianna’s uncle?

The cliffhanger ending with Chad was good as well.

Philip and Arianna are actually related in two different ways.

Philip and Arianna are first-cousins-twice-removed (via Justin)

Philip is Arianna's great-uncle (via Lucas)

Finally catching up on the 60th anniversary episodes and they definitely feel better than the 50th. The flashbacks genuinely help! It's nice seeing clips that are rarely seen, especially with TPTB pulling media from online.
