-- Re: the sets, in the Forrester mansion, that alcove between the staircase and the living room should have been redone. It just looks like wasted space that's dungeon-like.

-- Way too much repetition this past week. Why all these scenes with people talking at Luna? IRL, no one would waste their breath on a demented sociopath.

-- We were told "No one can keep eyes on Luna all day long." Huh? It's crazy how these people have tons of money until they have no money.

-- The Romeo & Juliet love affair of Will and Electra is flat-out boring. Having Ivy  as Electra's worthless sounding board doesn't improve the story.

That's because that alcove has been around since 1973. It's just the Brooks' entry and living room remodeled.

One thing I want to mention. The lighting in the new studio makes everyone look a lot better. They truly look like movie stars. In previous years, the show had some terrible lighting issues... to the extent that some people's wrinkles and scars were veeeeery noticeable. (Nothing against wrinkles, but it was too harsh sometimes.) Currently... I'm noticing a significant improvement. For instance, Brooke... looks absolutely stunning. They had the bad habit of lighting her in a very harsh way. The frame of the image also conveys the spaciousness of the set... It's very modern and quite a departure from the old IN YOUR FACE style of shooting. They still have the soapy close-ups, but they also allow for more space and air around the bodies. I gasped when I finally saw Brooke from head to toe in her high heels, moving around. I had become so accustomed to only seeing her cropped up. My husband, also a big fan of Bold...  noticed me watching the new episodes and remarked - Wow, they've made a lot of upgrades. It looks like a primetime show!

Now if they do something about the writing, the show will be unstoppable.

Examples.

Bigger frames, seeing them from head to toe is so great.

vlcsnap-2025-10-11-13h14m30s986.pngWithout that harsh light on Brooke and Ridge's faces... they look 10 years younger.

Again, you feel the spaciousness of the set. Brooke is walking around... with this sexy bravado. It's a quite different vibe to what we were used to.

Interesting. In the official Y&R videos showcasing the new elaborate train car sets ..
(totally ridiculous, I know, but the show is serious about it) ...
the actors talk about the lighting being so much better on the train sets, so that everyone's faces look better, -- very similar to what @Maxim described about how the lighting at the new B&B studio makes everyone's faces look better.

I love the new lighting but at times it's a bit too bright but everything looks great and BIGGER!

So glad my man Finn is back!  I already love Deke, he's a breath of fresh air, Harrison Cone is a great actor.

Don looks great in that blue shirt, and the salt and pepper beard works for him.

So far...meh.

It's not all bad. I love that Finn is back. I am loooving that showroom and how spacious the new studio is for the sets. I like Deke so far. And yes, I like Will/Electra coming back together.

But the delusion coming off of Luna is ugh. And I was not here for Ridge and Taylee doing recap. And Ridge...can always STFU.

Slow start.

For sure. Now if the writing would catch up...

Those are awfully big "ifs."

The editing in today's episode is atrocious; Bill and Katie jumped from the couch to the entry way. Horrible. Lazy.
