Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, looks much better compared to what I saw at the end of last week. But I still would have preferred to have either a true outdoor area or Café Russe return.

It looks nice, but there's something off about the lighting maybe? The scenes at Forrester Creations look great but there's almost a delayed quality in the scenes set at Brooke's house & the restaurant.

Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome but I don't mind Daphne Rose since she returned. The actress is more confident in her performance. I hope this continues, as the show needs a non-crazy troublemaker.

-- I agree that the lighting at Il Giardino is weird. I also doubt we'll continue to see that many extras there.

-- The DRAMA over this daddy-daughter dance is so absurd. It's THE BIGGEST DEAL IN THE WORLD for Hope to be there with Beth and Liam? This is something ENORMOUS for Carter and Hope to deal with? GMAFB.

-- That turns into Carter saying goodbye? Ending the relationship? Jesus.

-- BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

-- Carter goes to Il Giardino, finds an open table waiting for him,  and smiles as Daphne sings at open mic. He calls himself "a loser in love" and then IMMEDIATELY he and Daphne are giving google eyes to each other.

They really did. I vaguely remember discussing it. Hoping it would go that way since Taylor and Deacon needed something to do at the time. Especially Taylor who was trying to be as anti-Ridge as possible. I hoped for it, but alas.

I need to see more. But I'm not against it. It was one of the few times I felt RB was being Taylor.

Good for Carter. The fact that the dance was so trivial was the point. It was refreshing that he saw the writing on the wall and peaced out maturely with his dignity intact. I don't blame him at all for being open to Daphne. This was probably the best work I've seen VSL do on the show.

It was subtle; a mixture of relief for the fact she was not engaged to Carter (for his sake), but also a look of "I'm sorry" for the engagement ending. Perfect.

Bill's set (which should belong to Katie) is nice. The subtle changes are quite effective. But the Forrester Mansion (while beautifully done) looks compact as FRICK! The staircase looks so close to the living area.

I think what you're referring to is the frame rate. Some scenes have the "soap look" at 60 fps whereas some scenes have been exported at 30 fps - which doesn't look as smooth. Let me see if I can pass this on to Casey K.
