Britt walking around in a towel for an entire show was ridiculous.   I don't know how to say this nicely, but KT isn't some hot young thing.  She looks like Nancy Kerrigan's sister, which from me is actually a compliment.  Tons of people have lived at Kelly's/Bobbie's including spoiled rich girls like Brenda and Lily without complaint.  Go check yourself into a hotel Britt if the free, clean room is so below your standards.  Oh wait......you have no place to go, you unlikeable wench.  Team Carly today.

Willow is probably the least subtle human on the planet and I do find it hilarious.  Like, hi, Scout NEEDS to see Monica.  Fancy meeting you and Wiley here, Michael.  lol

And yet, I also applaud the energy. Because it was really stale on GH for a long time. And the show has energy again, even if it is wobbly AF.

I have said this several times but Patrick Mulcahey in such a short period of time made Nina a real character for me, and her scenes with Willow were really great. Willow also was placed into a trajectory that led us here, and she has finally become entertaining to watch. I think Nina is better written and used than Carly has been in a year or longer. And it shocks me because I wanted them both gone for years.

The problem with the show is the same thing that has been there for years. They just keep the train running, and nobody has time or the power to say we need to slow down and check in with characters like Olivia and Ned, because this stuff matters to the overall Gio story and would make it feel less like it was dropped. Dante questioning Drew should have involved at least a few lines about Scout, and what this is doing to Sam’s family. The details matter!

And while Joss in the WSB does not bother me, they have spent way more time with her as usual than with Trina, Gio, and Emma, who all deserve better. They spent the time to get Gio into a better performer, it paid off, use them better! Emma turned out to be a good hire as well!

I totally agree. It's like Drew has all, but forgotten that Sam did spell out her wishes. So I was glad that Natasha started to come out to play after the few times she did bring that up to Drew. Otherwise, it barely got a mention.

Same. I've been glad in my binging to see Trina more. But I have noticed that Emma seems to have vanished along with the professor and Gio feels like a glorified extra after all that build-up. 

 

I hope they do not intend to keep Jacinda and actually try to pair her with hot Michael. She was perfectly fine for the Drew bodyshots moment, and as a light blackmail schemer with Portia and Nina. But let’s not waste Michael on her please (never thought I would say that about Michael!). Or time we could invest in a better match.

I see online chatter on other sites where people are already shipping them, and seem to live for her. And after being perplexed, I did think about it and I have a theory. I think the characters on GH have been so genial and bland for a long time. Even the vets. It’s not often that anyone has scripting that lets them stand out, or for the vets has any specificity of their character in the words. I think that’s why people seem to like Britt, Obrect, and now Jacinda. They write them with snark or kooky (or both), and apparently lots of people want them to stay because of it. How about we also write the layers back into the characters already there?

Mulcahey did it with Maxie. Went from somewhat snarky but mostly bland heroine back to her old quick witted self. Gave Nina a personality other than pathetic.

And the writers are not doing Britt or KT and favors. Instead on the glimmer of vulnerability and professionalism they worked really hard to instill in her the last year she was on the show, she is coming across as a huge brat. Sarcastic/jaded characteristics on soaps usually have stronger actors to play them. KT is no 1990’s Roger Howarth.

It doesn’t help that the Rocco story with Britt is very offensive. A surrogate, even one with stolen material is not his mother. I actually feel bad for the actor playing Rocco because they are wasting him too with this trash.

Now you know Jacinda is about to be Frank's latest flavor of the month. Moreso since Sasha is out. And Willow needs a rival.

Exactly.  Britt's coming off like a selfish child instead of a woman that co ran a hospital.  She's an adult in her 40's.  It's not cute.  Some characters can get away with it I suppose but if we trying to make Britt a sympathetic heroine this is not the way to do it.  It's almost like the show is trying to recreate the Brenda/Jason Bickerson pairing with Britt when the OG Britt/Jason was fine and much more mature.

I am not even going to touch the Rocco story because Britt can't even figure out how to live in one room and use a shower let alone raise a teenager that doesn't belong to her just because she was his incubator.

She will NEVER be Brenda. So them writers can back all the wayyyyy OFF. And I don't feel they have the writing skills to make it as fun as Brenda/Jason made it. So that means those 'wacka wacka' vibes I've been sensing in these latest scenes are going to be nails on a chalkboard for me. Eww. That said...yes, OG Britt/Jason was fine and mature. Part of the reason they failed (for me) was they started to write Britt as this heroine rather than herself in terms of that relationship (not her other stories) the last time around. It didn't work then. Cuz Britt...even back then...would have slapped Carly for stepping to her over Jason. Carly...would have slapped her back for thinking she could come in on Jason. Jason would have huffed. It would have been the right wacky fun, but more organically interesting. Let's not water Britt down now. lol.

Hehe. That did cross my mind. It does track.

 

However, since she's been in and out and in and out again (pun unintended), it just seems like Frank's at it again. At least that means he's not bored of Rory yet, but alas.

Watching the clip of Jason breaking the news to Tracy about Monica - you could see the grief in Steve Burton's eyes. Very powerful. 

 

I had no doubt he would sell it. Steve really has learned how to emote since his last exit.
