The fact is GH, like too many soaps, has relied on baby stories to fill time and evade more controversial or risky material in the last decade-plus, and it's turned the show into something similar (but not quite as dire) as Ellen Wheeler's Mormon commune on Guiding Light. And yes, they have far too many to ever deal with and it's caused a massive traffic jam across the generational canvas. So some have to die, and many have to disappear for a decade.

I'd only keep a few actual small children around to be seen on a recurring basis - maybe James or Wiley (name TBD). Aiden would be only a recurring teen for now, Georgie would be aged up very slightly to be active for the current teen scene and Jake would also be in play again. And then you'd bring on some actual new, unconnected young people who aren't actively aging up and dragging down the current contract cast. That's it!

And then what happens when Molly or Kristina have a baby?  Chase gets his baby? One of the Joss/Emma crowd has a child? There's already no room for the current kids.

Someone like Bailey, who really isn't necessary could easily be sacrificed for a redux of the BJ heart story.

You're not alone on that though I have grown to love Maxie/Spinelli 3.0. 

 

But then again, that would take James away and he's the best out of those kids. And I LOVE his scenes with Dr. O.

This Brennan stuff makes Carly seem a little too dumb for my liking. Reminds me of LW’s Cassie on Guiding Light circa the Edmund and Jeffery era. I’m a Laura Wright Carly stan but i don’t know if I could’ve seen Sarah Brown or Tamara Braun’s versions ever falling for this guy while he’s pimping out her daughter as a spy agent and not snuffing him out immediately.

This Sonny and ADA Brenda Bot 1000 is very half assed. Pair him back with Nina or do something with Alexis at this point and call it a day.

I didn’t realize how connected Britt was to the canvas so on one hand they’ve been smart to be doing all this recapping but on the other I also don’t care about her, this storyline, or Jason running after her. If they are smart they will finally pivot this into Jason working for the WSB, that’s a much better use of him than being Sonny’s lackey again at his big age.

Drew pissed me off trying to have Danny arrested and then banning Scout from the rest of her family. I still hate that Sam is dead and not raising the children she wanted so badly to have so it adds to my emotional investment in wanting Scout to be with her siblings.

They have really struck gold with Cameron Mathison as the Quartermaine heel. I hate his ass but I hope this doesn’t all end in murder. Tracy and Michael going after him for messing with Wiley was great (I really hope they change that boys name to William or whatever his middle name is before its too late because wtf)

Willow vs Lucas had me💀 he is a messy ass dude for going off and being all in the middle of her and Drew’s business and he deserved the slap IMO..unfortunately for Willow they really were at work arguing like that 😂 Elizabeth telling her to leave was also funny. I look forward to Willow sinking her hooks into Chase.

I just love Alexa Havins as Lulu 🖤 I wish she could have slapped Obrecht at Laura’s office.

They should keep temp Maxie while KS gets settled with her relocation, she did good work in the scene with Brook Lynn where Maxie worries about not reporting the book cooking done with Sonny’s investment and how losing Deception could wreck her finances and kids futures.

I’m not a Curtis fan so this stuff with Portia and Jordan loses a lot of investment for me with him at the center. I enjoy Brooke Kerr though and I think Jordan liking the money she makes working for Sidwell could be an interesting shift for her to be more shady

They really have. If you would have told me that I would love to hate CM as Drew I would have laughed. But...yes. I really hope he leaves town with his tail between his legs. The murder mystery target has boomeranged over other characters before in recent years so why not one more time. Sez aim it at Sidwell.

So do I. It makes me hate hate Drew. He's more interested in his ego than his own child and his ex-wife's wishes. And that still rubs me wrong. I really want Alexis to find a way to get Scout away from him. Where Natasha when you need her?

Drew is serving the purpose of AJ. If AJ were still on the show, isn't this how he'd probably be written,  hating Jason, stealing his son's wife, etc?

A.J. is the weapon Michael and Tracy should unveil to help take on Drew, tbh.

I'd simply say that Monica once again saved him and she and Michael together have kept his slow recovery secret for years. His resurgence would also reignite Michael's deeply sublimated resentment over Sonny and Carly's role in his 'murder' years ago.

The ADA has to be the worst Sonny seduces the opposition I’ve ever seen. Maybe because MB comes off as a creepy old man and there’s zero chemistry, or maybe it’s because we’ve seen this before. 
 

@Taoboi I hate how quickly they ended Jordan and Isaiah though I do like them both being on the outside of Curtis and Portia as support.

I like them in the mix as well with Curtis and Portia, but I'm not totally on board with a Jordan/Curtis/Portia 2.0 and Isaiah taking Zeke's place.
