I don't know why this show thinks we want to see more of this Home shopping network stuff. It's all so bad.

It was an entire episode of filler. If the show balanced these scenes over a few days with other stories it wouldn't have been such a pointless waste of time.

Carly/Brennan and Joss/Vaughn scenes were extremely dull.

tbf, I was a fan of Jason/Britt before they tried to suck out her personality at the altar (pun unintended to the plot going on at that time) of Carly. And it was one of the few times SB was engaged (pun unintended again) and willing to get out of that shirt of his. lol. All that said...I am not looking forward to the flashbacks either. lol. I'm just now starting to hit the Brit story thread in my viewing and it is already coming across very prop-y for my taste.

I understand why the show did the flashbacks because it wasn't the most memorable romance even if I do think KT and SBu have chemistry. It was just literally Jason sitting on a plane thinking about Britt for an episode lol.

They prop the crap out of KT/Britt-a C character at best-, but I am also not a Britt or Kelly fan so I am biased.

Not him just sitting in a plane. lol. It had potential. Before the character assassination cuz the Britch would have kept right on stepping to Carly when Carly had to...Carly. lol. It was part of what made that pairing intriguing.

But hehe...I know you are biased. But you know I'm a sucker for bangs.

Is H&H just Frank's way of hiring some names he's fond of but he can't work into story? If so I wish he could spread the wealth (what is the actor who played Jason on OLTL doing now? What about Kirk Geiger?). It's nice to know Susan Batten can still show up on soaps but I can only assume she was very kind to Frank back in his early producing days.

I think those are both good examples.
I do believe JB was popular as Vicky. Although I don't know if she got really lucky or was actually good. Her role as Melissa on GH and her off screen antics make me think it was the former.

Maybe the three key Margo Hugheses on ATWT? There was a fourth like Bransford who didn't go over well, but the others were very distinctive and to my understanding popular.
Vicky Hudson on AW might be the same, though I have never cared much for Jensen Buchanan lol.

GH: November 2025 Discussion Thread

I thought the scenes between Britt and Jason were well done, so I'll give KT props for that at least. I agree it felt like she was asking too much of him. It's unrealistic to think Jason, of all people, would be 100% committed to anyone at this point and he actually shouldn't have to be when he's just offering help? Britt also has family that would be happy to help her, so it's not as if she's all alone in the world.
The whole Dalton murder and Britt/Sidwell connection is fine I suppose, but it feels like the show just scrapped Emma's only story. All the months she spent trying to get in good with Dalton yet she never cracked the case and now he's dead.

That's great that you've found something to enjoy. I remember my first telenovela as a child - Rosalinda. I was obsessed. I was sooo little, practically a baby, but remember re-enacting scenes from the show, fake falling down the stairs like Rosalinda and fake-getting run by car like she was. I would recreate these hyper dramatic moments all day long. My father cringing every time he sees me. 😄

Cherie Jimenez as Gabi on Days. I am not sure if Camila Banus was ever super popular, but she led storyline and was on the show for years.
Not to veer off topic, but I am also quite fascinated by the Carly situation on GH. I know TB wasn't immediately accepted, while Laura was due to the Bransford situation, but it has to be rare to have such longevity and success with three separate actors in the role. Are there other roles/actors that have achieved that?

Thank you for reminding me! I think I know which ones you are referring to. It's just so hard to follow what is up and what gets taken down from YouTube. I think they've been cleaning a lot of channels due to this new streaming thing.
BTW, I was just watching again and I guess Susan Lucci was on hiatus, because Erica is nowhere to be seen. They left us on a cliffhanger and now I watch every episode expecting to see what happened with her and the clown. Manipulative writing.

D'oh! That makes sense. In that case, Jill Larson (AMC) as Opal. She had the additional advantage of the character being offscreen for a half-decade.

Kimberley is another, definitely, especially as she got to stand on her own with the Musketeers phasing out.
Those are the responses I was most interested in seeing, but I didn't want to make a lot of rules because I am enjoying seeing the different suggestions, even for people who were replacing lesser-known performers.
