• Sharon's ugliness needs to head out of Fairmont Crest and never return. She is never going to stop holding onto past grudges and fully move on. And now Sharon is joining in, too? She said SHE TURNED HIM DOWN BECAUSE SHE DID NOT WANT TO REPEAT THE PAST! Stop being so bullheaded. Pendejas.
• Of course Deadbeat would not want to show up and support his grandmother, a.k.a., the woman who helped keep his secret for two years and is allowing him to stay in her home for free. Do better.
• Oh, Hi Jessica! Funny seeing you back in town!
• Sharon's idea of everyone getting their own solo is the idea I had. Gives each of them a chance to sing in their own preferred genre, changing the ideas of the past.
• GO DANI GO! I am glad someone is telling Deadbeat the cold-blooded truth about how selfish he has been and how many eggshells everyone has been walking on. Get her, Jade!
• I love that Vernon grills everyone about their intentions with his family, whether it is his children or grandchildren. He is a true patriarch of a family unit.
• I kind of love that Bradley held the mirror up to Nicole about where her marriage with Ted stood. And I am sorry, but Deadbeat is deeply paying? No. I do not even think he has paid even a fraction of what he should.
• Not Dani jumping to a marriage proposal conclusion. Sweetie, that is too soon.
• Once again, I adore seeing Vernon in the roles he plays. It is refreshing and comforting and shows how true he is.
• I cannot appreciate the words and the intent behind them that Nicole is saying, but Bradley needs to make his own decisions on his own time.
• Danielle! We know when the full name comes out, our parents mean business!
• Oh no! What is happening to Sharon?! Is her continued ugliness catching up with her at long last?!
• Not an ounce of love or chemistry between Bradley and the deadbeat... at all.

Notes:

• Karla Mosley (Dani) continues to eat... she embodies the character of Dani from head to toe. The spin around in the chair was classic soap, too.
• On a general note... why the Hell are the MTV Video Music Awards on CBS? I get that it is a Paramount thing, but it does not need to air on CBS. It barely should be airing on MTV as it is.
• I appreciate the two new camera angles of the Dupree home: from the front door (which was semi-previously seen) and from the opposing staircase.

Following up on one of the theories someone posted. Does Tyrell's crush Jessica have a brother?  Could they be June's kids?

I don't see a storyline either beyond giving Tamara Tunie something to do. 

The whole thing about adding a solo/solos at the last minute had me smh. It's alrady been a ridiculously short time to get this reunion concert together, and now they're making last minute changes to the set list with solos and also changing the costumes? Yea, right.

But I guess we're in the era of hand waving all this stuff away and saying it's no big deal.

I also thought that was weird. Leave them open to having family that can expand the canvas. Seemed weird to isolate them in that way and prematurely stunt them from growing if need be. 

Also, I cannot get behind whatever reason Anita was using to push this solo performance. Ok, so what if your kids/grandkids never seen you perform your jazz stuff in that scale? You are about to perform your girl group stuff up on a stage for them! Sharon and Tracy admitted just to being backup singers anyway. Also, those ladies did a complete 180 on their attitude towards Anita. Really inorganic. Wasn't the whole point of this concert to give Tracy and Sharon their due, their moment, the ability to shine once more...now Anita wants to do a whole solo? It's messed up. I swear this is just the show's way of giving TT a way to showcase some of her stuff, but they could have done that in a different way. 

Thank you Dani for giving my man Martin the whacking he needed.  Its time to see him lighten up. Hopefully in minimal clothing lol.

I really like the actresses playing Sharon and Tracy. Id love for them to stick around beyond this upcoming concert. Maybe we'll see Dante in the future.

The whole turnaround was way too fast. They went from not wanting to talk to each other to now allowing Anita to do the one thing that ruined them to begin with. I thought this night was about the Articulettes not Anita Williams.

I dislike the characters insisting that everyone show up for the concert, because they owe Anita.  I thought Dani was way over the top telling Martin and Nicole to get over it.

I actually found it to be ridiculous in the opposite sense. Your mom/grandma is about to have a one in a lifetime performance and they're all so nonchalant about it. Some things you put your differences aside and you show up for. That's just my opinion.

I'm not too bothered by Sharon and Tracy not having had husbands or children. It's not like they are going to stick around long term anyway beyond this reunion concert story. Also I find them pretty annoying and irritating in general, especially Sharon. I just want this story to be over already. 

Also, what is with everybody trying to push Martin and Smitty back together? Why is this show so afraid of having characters splitting up and getting divorced? Why can't Martin and Smitty just break up permanently and move on to other pairings for a while? They also need to do the same with Ted and Nicole. When is Nicole going to get a divorce from Ted?

What's great about BTG is that for most scenes and characters, there are wide variety of opinions and lots of discussion.  I appreciate that so much.
