Sure, I am glad it's Haley Pullos self-referential humor.  It's not funny at all.

💯 co-sign; I may call her a convicted felon (which she is), but this kind of blatant attack, in-script, is in extremely poor taste. This is General Hospital, not Law & Order.

Poor taste for sure.  Haley can do whatever with her life, but the girl spent at least a decade on GH so I don't think we should be laughing at her problems

Whatever Frank and writing team.  There are a lot of child actors that burn out, have issues, or have problems with substances.  I guess we just openly mock them to get a C grade character out of town.

Her problems are not a laughing matter, period, even if the scripts are ridiculous to laugh at because of how just outrageous they actually are. And it's generous calling Natalia C-grade... I would say even D- would be pushing it, given the amount of disinterest the audience seems to have had with her.

It's all small stakes and not a big deal to talk about on a Saturday.  I just thought the whole narrative was mean and petty.  The show has a decent Molly now so leave it all alone.

I really have no problem with ditching Natalia ASAP, but it's almost like the show is mad at ELR for her character flopping.

I agree with all you've said about the treatment of Natalia/ELR. GH writes these horrible stories, then the character gets an exit that's awful and ugly.

There's always a shiv at the ready in the GH writers' room. No other soap displays its mean girl side like this one.

I really don't know why Frank lost interest.  You give the woman an ex-husband and another gay child and just drop her?  So strange.....There were seeds to repair some damage on the character.

He's done it so many times, though. Not just here but at OLTL, any time he gets a shiny new toy/hire he lavishes time and attention on forcing them regardless of audience response, then eventually they fall out of scope when he gets interested in someone else, then they become marginalized or are allowed to be torn down. I knew it would happen to Eva, but it did happen quicker than I expected. They tried all sorts of OTT rehab efforts with her already too. She went from hate speech and being excused for it to having insane heart to hearts with Kristina in a couple months. Then there was Sonny's Heart Whisperer, which was pretty recently.

There was barely a plotline to speak of with Natalia, and the Sidwell thing was just the same dumb mess they pushed with Cyrus, etc. (secret family/villain pathos) so I just couldn't care less. We'll still be stuck with Sidwell for ages and the son probably isn't going anywhere for awhile.

Haley is what 25?  It looks like she went to rehab, got sentenced for her crime, and is moving on with her life.  Frank is a 62 year old man.  He shouldn't be haha mocking a crime or a woman that has acknowledged she had a problem.  I don't think Frank would make jokes about Tyler Christopher.

They happily mocked actors who defied them during the Carlivati era, so it doesn't surprise me if it's about Pullos. Still, I have my doubts they were shots at her particularly since I suspect GH may bring her back someday if they can. Or frankly they may have been done to put her in her place for that future. FV has done that before.

I guess it's a minority position, which is fine. Not because I hate Natalia, even though I do. But I found it hilarious! At the same time I recently read the latest on Pullos & she is one very lucky girl. She totally dodged a bullet, got off easy IOW.

I don't watch enough of the show to remember who Sidwell is even meant to be a threat to.

It doesn't matter tbh. Anyone and everyone, same as Cyrus. They have literally xeroxed the exact same plot developments with both cardboard villains (secret family, eavesdropping on Sasha, bombings, etc).

His primary target would've and should've been Lucky, but of course that didn't matter. What surprises me most is that ELR/Natalia didn't get further along with Sonny in a year. Frank usually pushes much harder than that. And he did push, right up to January or February it seems, but I suspect Mo stepped in and said to slow it down or vetoed overt romance, and then Frank lost interest later. I wonder what made Mo do that.

I have no evidence Frank cares at all, but I still think the show wants to find Sonny a new Brenda and hires any decent actress that might fit the bill.  It doesn't work out, the show pivots and it just leaves characters in the dust because the intent doesn't ever match the writing.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Frank re-hired Pullos, especially if Haley decides to speak out or becomes more prominent again and discuss her issues.   I have no idea what Frank thinks-I just found the DUI stuff tasteless and pointed towards HP a million years later.

Unlike the Guza years I don't think it's about Brenda per se, I think it's about any name Frank takes a shine to and gets excited to say he has on the show. Like ELR. I think FV and GH avoid the B-word like the plague.

But, after the JJ debacle it would not shock me if (as I've said recently) they finally ask Vanessa back and then Frank straight-up fires her too in six months, just to show folks he can do it with both legendary characters he doesn't care for lol. It's clear he's riding high these days.

And no, I would not be at all surprised if he brought Haley back someday. I've been lowkey expecting it. Not because I want her back per se - even if I find the recast mid I think Molly was tired long before that and needs to be off-canvas for a number of years - but because it's a common reaction he and the show have to an exiled fan favorite who isn't named Vanessa Marcil or Sean Kanan.

You are probably correct.  Vanessa was Guza's shiny toy, not Frank's.  I still think Frank is searching for something for Mo in a pairing that might hit.  Honestly, I think Mo is hoping for something that will hit and I don't know why he isn't outside Vanessa's door begging her to come back lol.

I wouldn't even want Frank's regime to touch Vanessa.  Like you said they avoid the B-word like the plague and don't care about the character at all.  I am sure you could imagine me curled up in ball crying when they fire Vanessa after 3 weeks.

As far as Haley-hire her back or don't. Who cares?  I am not positive Frank was even directly mocking her.  It just felt rude and uncalled for because she can deal with her own [!@#$%^&*].  It's hard to make me stand up for a literal criminal lol.

If it was that, I agree. I do think he was probably 'putting her in her place' a bit. He and Ron used to do that a lot and then rehire people eventually when they came hat in hand.

I would not be shocked if Mo has put out the Vanessa suggestion before. I don't think FV is trying to hear that. But at this point after he flexed on JJ I would not be astonished if he did it here too, just to make it clear this is his hospital lol.

Mo has absolutely thrown out her name.  They seem like fun besties these days after years of me thinking they barely tolerated one another.  I am not sure Vanessa has made herself available though.  She prefers to talk crap about BAG rather than work.

I kid, I kid, Vanessa.  I still love you.

I would think actual jail and numerous lawsuits would put Haley in her place, but Frank probably decided to make it sting more just so she feels so grateful when she's rehired.

Do you guys actually think Haley sits around watching GH?

I can only speak for myself but whether she watches the show or not is, to me, irrelevant. Frankly, I was somewhat shocked it made it into a script because of NLG not Haley.

I don't get why Frank/GH/writers can't just let Natalia quietly walk away.  It was a mess, but we don't need more on why Natalia was a mess.  Just be classy and call it a loss.

Yes, every day.  No, I doubt she cares.  I still don't think it's funny to make jokes about her arrest or DUI's.  That's not funny.  Be cool.  Don't be uncool, GH!
