It seems like Damian's arc is complete- reconciles with Amy, good with Nate and Winters, etc. When Amy *misspoke* and said 'whodunit' on Friday's show, that clinched it for me. 

Holden is actually the better choice for a long-term play in GC: no blood ties, a mysterious background, younger and can be paired with a lot of the canvas: Lily, Audra, Claire, Abby, Phyllis(!), Sally, Chelsea, Chloe, re-cast Summer, etc.

-- that's similar (but not the same) as the shell-pattern wallpaper on the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge. 

Different pattern.  But similar concept so maybe from the same set designer.

The Genoa City guests travel in different groups on different train rides, 
and thus each group arrives at different times at the Dumas estate destination.

First group is Nikki/Victor/Sally/Billy/Sharon/Nick.

Next group or groups include these characters
(either together or in separate groupings) . . .
Jack, Diane, Audra, Kyle, Damian, Phyllis, Devon.

I think Lily arrives last, maybe alone, or maybe with one or two of the other characters.

NOTE: Michael and Lauren have invitations, but are not in these France photos. so I guess Michael and Lauren arrive later on?  Adding them would make 19 characters.

Not sure if Abby goes to France? If so, she's another to add to the total.

Don't know if any additional characters arrive.

If only Phyllis was lost in the maze forever.

No amount of new sets is going to cover the fact that this story is a dud.

I get "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" from Nikki's look. Her character would be great for this kind of story.

And I will cry foul if they do like I've been doing. Cuz I still feel Damian being the head of Dumas as originally done was the way to go. Imagine if it was him doing this right now, sending everyone off to his villa to reveal one of his many 'ten steps ahead' moves like Damian did with the reveal of him knowing people were looking for him, Holden being a decoy, etc. A waste.

 

And I agree. Holden has been interesting as a wild card as well.
