I am loving that Anita's story is off and running. And it's a slow burn.

OOoooo another Bill/Smitty scene. But I'm loving that the seed that Bill planted has really been growing over yesterday and now today's episode. Cuz Smitty going to Nicole...uh oh now.

Kat continues to be smart and love it. But hopefully she realizes she's getting played by Silk Press Sheila.

And probably in the minority, but I do like the June storyline so far. And it has not stalled really at all. It feels organic in terms of pacing.

Dani seems the type that blew through her trust fund before she hit 30.. so she probably doesn't have any liquid assets... and neither she nor Pamela seem like they're money smart.

Vanessa seems to be into experimenting.   I think she and Doug both have addictions (his to gambling and her to the thrill of sex and/or getting caught).

The breakdown for the episode was ok, but some of the lines were a bit off (except during the Anita scenes and the Smitty/Bill scenes)

Bill/Smitty have chemistry.. shame they don't play for the same team.  The messiness if they did.

Kat proves one doesn't need a romantic nor sexual partner to have an active role in a storyline.  Though I hope Eva/Tomas/Kat is revisted soon.

June and Hayley talk alike, act alike, and even kind of look alike facially.   They better be related or why the casting for both actresses?

Omg...the way that Bill is manipulating Smitty and messing with his words. Oooo that's the type of scheming man I would think he would be.

Not Jacob at Silk Press Sheila's door to take her to the station!!!!

Nice cliffhanger. And look at next week!!!

Oh I actually like that Vanessa has an sex addiction (or more to the dangers of it it seems)--there's a lot that they can do with it.  I just find the interactions we've seen with her and the men she roleplays with, always in restaurants it seems, are really weirdly scripted.  I mean I know a bit about roleplay, and this is just weird *that's all I'll say* LOL

"The breakdown for the episode was ok, but some of the lines were a bit off (except during the Anita scenes and the Smitty/Bill scenes)"

Completely agree with everything in this statement.  (And yeah, actually I find myself enjoying the low-stakes Anita storyline a bit to my surprise.  Far more interesting than just hearing them yet again bragging about how important they were to "the cause" and at all these marches, etc.  Even when Vernon proved such a bad singing--which of course we know the actor who has sung on Broadway isn't...)

I agree. But Timon has chemistry with just about everyone but his character's wife. lol. I love the fact that Bill is so spiteful that he's messing with Martin and Smitty's marriage with what he knows.

Most def. And I love every moment of it with her Blair Waldorf coded self. I'm sure it will loop back around to the triangle soon enough.

I had a different theory on who Hayley is related to, but if her and June turn out to be related I wouldn't mind. Hayley definitely needs something to do other than stalk her husband.

    • Don't know if this has been posted; however, it appears the story bible, Shadows on the Wall, has been uploaded for anyone to snag here: https://archive.org/details/shadows-on-the-wall-1
    • Major flaw! And that's why I said Dani would've been better off an screwed up kid (black sheep). Nicole got an award because she's doing important work. Depression is real, Mental illness is real. People are homeless and committing suicide in jails because they lack proper help. Yes, she modeled, but I mean, even Tyra pivoted into acting, talk shows, her own company, managing other models, etc.
    • I will admit to not liking John Bolger in the role of Phillip, but on rewatch, he has a really nice friend chemistry with Michael and Krista. And I think it's the only period of time where Phillip hasn't pulled Rick into some stupid scheme that ends up hurting the friendship.

You're right about everything! The casino needs to go and it's ugly! The ugliest set on BTG.
    • Jayne Bentzen is the actress who played Nicole at that point. She joined Edge the year before, replacing Maeve McGuire.
    • Wait.....Anita is an EGOT, Vernon was an important Senator, and Dani was an international model (no matter how brief, although I thought she said she was on par with Tyra Banks(or someone)...meanwhile, Nicole's some nice psychologist/psychiatrist with an award on her wall...but Dani's hasn't added to the Dupree mystique?  I don't think the writers considered ever having any Dupree be less than utterly fabulously successful  and that's actually flaw in the structure of the show.  Oh, I forgot to say...Smitty acts like she stumbled into Vanessa's Only Fans account and paid for a picture of her dirty undies before realizing it was her.
    • I watched another batch of episodes and I have a sense of dread. I fear they are setting up a murder storyline with one of my favorite characters as the victim. I don't know if that would be considered a spoiler so won't reveal the character. If that's so, i will be extremely disappointed as this person has done Emmy caliber work and would create such a void on the show.  If I'm right, I think I know who the suspect will be and I would rather the suspect be murdered.  Joel Crothers's Miles has had more of a presence with his wife Nicole and I enjoy both actors. Crothers is just so yummy and charismatic. Don't know who plays Nicole but I like their relationship.  Ann Williams has been phenomenal as Margo. Margo is desperate to keep Eliot and make April happy. Williams had a nice scene with Kibbee's Geraldine about Logan and the baby. Eliot has been so slimy and menacing but he's so watchable. April and Draper are still fighting over the baby and something has happened to April to land her in the hospital. I just keep hoping she'll kick Draper out. The man is such a pain. Raven needs to come back and sleep with him. She can liven him up. Ann Flood and Frances Fisher had a wonderfully written scene where Deborah confesses her feelings for Owen. The writing and acting for this scene was first-rate. I want more of Flood. It's good to see Fisher getting more to do. Steve and his low cut shirts have been sidelined lately. The writers are setting up a Deborah/Nola confrontation.  Paige and Brian are still pretty much an afterthought. The movie plot is coming along nicely and there was a great episode where Margo had a party for the movie at her penthouse. Still enjoying the show.
    • See, I imagine it as some kind of "private" room within a bigger casino.
