Leslie also made me laugh in last week's episodes. Her quips, nicknames, and one liners are entertaining. Although, as I mentioned, I seriously haven't had an issue with Leslie's portrayal until this last week.
It isn't the extraness that is Leslie that bothers me. As I have known a few Leslies in my life where every word out of their mouth is just doing the most. My issue is that she has become a cartoon character. The same woman who ran someone off the road in attempted murder is now chasing down Duprees in the most clownish way to beg them for details to the press? Even the way she went about it, the recations, all of it felt absurd and unlike a woman who just blew up a man's life for revenge.
I get they need to tone Leslie down in order to keep her on canvas, but if this is the way they are achieving it, then I am not feeling it.
A while back someone mentioned Leslie going to jail and getting off on a technicality. I feel like that would be a good way to redeem and revitalize Leslie. Maybe going to jail even briefly could be a wake up call. She can see the errors of her ways and come back - not normal, but still that extra Leslie where we can believe she can be ridiculous and not just some loony who is prowling around town with all these people knowing what she has done but equally giving her the time of day.
