You'd bring Brenda back though RIGHT???  I know you would LOL.

Anyhow, I hope JPS gets cast as a series lead on a primetime show and I never have to see him or Charlotte again.

Alexa Havins really is killing it as Lulu though.  She's like JMB but without the smugness and lack of charisma.

Not that I am aware; his Disney show was canceled, but again, ABC is Disney-owned, so that wasn't so much an issue. I think Valentin was rightly rested and shouldn't have been brought back at all. His return was not needed, especially as a recurring player.

To get rid of Maurice Benard (Sonny), yes, I would! One contract cycle of thirteen weeks, and done.

Frank will never stop bringing JPS back unless the network forces his hand. He's kept using him through multiple other jobs. He thinks this is 1991 and the dude is a major get from AMC.

I'm not saying Stuart is not talented. But he plays a lot of slithery little creeps. He's good at it. Yet the show clearly thinks he is a major sexy male lead they refuse to let go of.

I am honestly out of ideas for poor Anna, who I adore despite her recent humiliations, so I could get onboard with David at this point lol. I liked them together.

It is wild to me how weak his Valentin was allowed to be. The most scary Cassadine ever is more like the Cowardly Lion. I have no problem with sensitive men. But that’s not what he was supposed to be.

The only time I found him remotely interesting was when he was revealed as the head of Pikeman, and was messing with Sonny’s meds. And all that was brushed away to keep him as Papa. It’s ridiculous!

I think the online fandom for Vanna and Liz/Franco was strictly down to the audience craving romance, and if you are watching GH those are the ones we got that the show invested in enough to show every beat.

The fact that even Helena was scared of Valetin is a real reach.  The show really should have thought harder about resurrecting Valentin as a character and given JPS something he's more suited to play.  A slimy grey character.  Not a super villain that people are actually afraid of.

It'd be cute to have Vanessa do "video chat calls" like Jess Walton on Y&R, with Brenda on GH, instead; I think that'd be interesting and cool, but the thirteen-week cycle would be for Benard's long-ass overdue exit as Sonny Corinthos. It's time.

I frankly think it was down to those actresses' fanbases (particularly the Liz fans) just being desperate for someone, anyone valued by this creative regime to be linked to their favorite. Liz fans knew Howarth was a FV favorite and would guarantee her airtime and some security, so a portion of them got behind the serial killer. And some Anna fans are just tired of Anna being single so they get behind this weepy wuss.

I agree the only time I found Valentin interesting or halfway credible was when Mulcahey revealed him as the co-head of Pikeman. (The show seems to consistently avoid acknowledging that he and Brennan were in it together.)

Lord, no. This show needs Brenda back on contract.

I have no great ambition to rid the show of Sonny Corinthos. Sure, I'd love it, but it's not going to happen bearing some massive change at the network or in Maurice's life. But you can manage and control how he's used, and you do that by sidelining him for Brenda.

    • If the shooter is Arnold, I am not going to be happy. Agreed.  Again, I really like the pace of the mystery. RonC always wrote a shocking crime, then it would be solved only through exposition at the end.  I feel like the audience is being shown some respect by them carefully closing all the loopholes.  For example, having Shawn-D call Rafe to turn in his gun was a clever device to get Gabi to confess. As much as I agree with @carolineg about the odd shift in Sophia's character, this plot is starting to make me angry.  A woman is denied an abortion and forced to raise a child?  It is gross.  The stomach pains are a hopeful foreshadowing.  But, if she fakes pregnancy, or hides his miscarriage, I am going to scream!!! Roman continues to be a mench, but I have to admit that I can never keep track of the difference between Max and Benjy.  I guess it helps that Benjy is dead.  Are Max and Benjy still related to Carly?
    • If Sally Field had been more generous about the writing I would say that her assessment is really very fair. I found Soapdish very funny. The cast is great. Delirious with John Candy and Mariel Hemingway (and Emma Samms!) came out the same year and I had expected to prefer Delirious, but Soapdish is one that I can watch repeatedly.
    • I love SOAPDISH but I think TOOTSIE is better. Generally I am quite fond of gender-benders. VICTOR, VICTORIA, most favorite.
    • On GL we only saw young GA's Philip in very short shorts but on AMC we saw GA's Alec McIntyre in a speedo.  But, on GL, an older GA/Philip is having sex with Olivia in a hotel room where Bruce Barry was directing & he & she both end up down to nothing but black underwear & at one point his bicep is covering her entire upper body so it appears that she is naked. I think they ended up on the floor between the bed & the wall. That was when I realized that Grant's body was better than Steve Burton's. (Olivia was cheating. Her husband Alan was in the hospital.) It is notable that I can speak with any insight AT ALL about these bodies since that is not the team I play for! LOL
    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
