I do keep seeing people mention Sonny's heart condition. The timing is very convenient. It would be a very gross choice, maybe the grossest story I've seen along these lines since AMC had Zach kill Josh to give Kendall a heart, but I can't rule it out.

That is something they might try, but god, I hope they don't go there. Although honestly, if the roles were reversed and they killed off Sonny to give one of his organs to Ric, I wouldn't mind. Sonny's been on for over 5000 episodes in the past 30 years, and they've just run out of storylines for him (and Maurice's acting skills have visibly degraded over the years). On the other hand, Ric is still a vital character, the best of the various "amoral lawyer" characters they have scattered around the canvas, and Rick Hearst has real chemistry with his costars.

I would much prefer this scenario.

Just finished Fridays episode and I just love the contempt in which Ava talks to stupid ass Kristina. And she calls the baby by the proper name. Even mentioning what’s on the gravestone.

Kristina once again ranting and raving about “her” baby is exactly why having Molly try to repair things is so stupid and insulting.

Loved Emma standing up for the Q’s again. It’s kinda crazy that the show wants us to believe you can just bulldoze a crypt with bodies in it because you’re upset.

Sonny and Jason standing around pointing guns at people is so tired and old.

Since when does Kristina know how to cut brakes?

Do you remember the May Sweeps when some of us said the big event was Sonny & Brando changing the spark plugs on a classic car? Another thing that might refresh your memory was it was a time when Sonny went all over town dispensing sage advice. I just figured that he taught Kristina the basics of automobile mechanics. Sounds stupid, right?

Lucky giving Kristina an alibi before he noticed Liz was in the accident she admitted to causin is just peak karma.

Not only was Kristina planning to keep Molly’s baby, now she’s almost killed her dad

.

The Anna and Emma scenes were so good today. The actress playing Emma is so good. Love all the Quartermaine history with Emma and Robin being brought up.

Cosgrove is great at this sleazy role.

    • Ranger, will you be his champion?! Tell Dante to back the he&l off? Be there for him in the coming days when he is going to be furious & possibly turn his back on the Cerullos & the Qs & show up at Sonny's door looking for a new place to park his weary head? As for me, I watched the NB every year even when I wasn't watching GH. Many years have been disappointing. So far this year is amazingly satisfying. Clothes! Performers! Drama!  So ironic that they actually have Cam doing what we always said he should be doing, emcee, tux, mic, huge toothy grin! Snark! Could they possibly throw any more shade? Nooo! This is like 100% attitude coming from all directions. You could say I died & went to heaven. Gimme all this high school talent show soapy goodness, I mean, it's only 4 days, what kind of wimp are you, anyway? As soap fans, we are supposed to enjoy these occasional flights of fancy. Maybe you aren't, but I sure as he&l am! And, I won't let any Debbie Downers ruin it for me, either. This brief early morning message was brought to you by the letter N for what else Nurses Ball.
    • I have seen little of Wally, but I always think of the backstage story Julia Barr (I think it was Julia) told where he hated his character and storylines so much that at one point he put some form of clown makeup on in his dressing room to show his feelings.
    • Happy Birthday Giovanni Mazza!!

        Understandable
    • She's beyond awful. She needs to be sent away. We know that's not going to happen.
    • I knew that was the Manhattan skyline in the background  That’s one of the best parts of this; their relationship can go either way. Though I’m hoping that they’ll eventually find their way back to each other
    • I don't remember ANYTHING with Devon and Cliff! I do remember Liza fixated on him (around the time Angel Haining took over the role briefly as Marcy Walker left for Santa Barbara!), but not a thing about Devon. Shows how memorable it was. LOL! I do have a very hazy memory with Devon and...Wally, was it? I think that was his name, Devon's husband! (Mom watched AMC from jump, and wee little me got into it!) But I do remember poor Tricia Pursley just played Devon as a sad sack.
    • Since we need to see Tide placed in the show at least 4 times a week, Derek should be acknowledged as what happens when one accepts the Tide Pod Challenge.
    • No mention of Hope and Carter's Insta romance?   I skimmed through today's episode.   It was a status quo, pointless episode.
    • I agree that the costume designer has done well in giving characters a specific look-I just don't like Kat's! But I will concede defeat on this one... Now that the show is well established I am thinking about some of the choices mad re occupations and settings. I don't expect a soap to be a documentary but the workplace can be fertile ground for story, character interactions and to add a sense of realism. It's getting a little Y&R with people meeting up at eateries. Making Derek a firefighter seems pointless-he should have been a cop working with Jacob.Would have given him more airtime and purpose. Martin is supposedly an up and coming politician but we have no evidence of that. Maybe his office should have been a set-and some other characters work there. Jan could have worked there in some capacity, or maybe Ashley instead of being a nurse. Vernon could spend time there offering his expertise-which could lead to conflict with his grandson. Same with the Real estate business-we don't see Vanessa in that role. She would have more credibilty if we saw her at work. Ashley or Smitty might work there etc, with discussions of the business -listings, attending viewings etc Andre does real estate photography. Maybe Naomi could work for her father and they could have workplace battles. Discussing cases with Tomas and her dad. And we need to see Nicole at work. Finishing up with a client etc And for Chelsea and Kat some actual evidence of setting up the'purse line' Realizing how difficult it is to get a foothold. I like the idea of having a server at Orphey's being a wise 'talk to' for various characters. Just more effective use of the characters... What are your thoughts after several months of shows?
    • Finally, Days is a soap opera about drama. Wednesday's episode is soapy goodness.
