Could not figure it out- what did he hand that guy when he got out of the car?

I just finished watching that scene and it looks like he gave him a keycard of some sort

I thought KM was hilariously bad during the crying scene in the elevator while Dani was leaving Bill’s office. Sometimes less is more, especially when playing a character that’s so extra.

See? I thought she was being subtle with her ugly cry. Moreso since she was complete steel right before with Hayley outside of the elevator. So seeing her break in the elevator worked for me. But I felt it was a subtly gradual shift from strong woman to crying mess and Karla did it well.

That or a business card (which would be odd).

I didn't take that scene as her crying. I took it as her heartbreaking and her reaching her breaking point with all the crap she's dealing with. We've all experienced that feeling that most would consider "crying," but it never is that.

I agree; I took it as she's had on this front of being "strong" and "angry," and in her true moments of silence she was able to crack and release that.

I thought it was a room key, but that might be my other occupation showing.

Martin is annoying. That's it. I said it.

He really is, and the actor is beyond limited. Something about his line delivery feels so unnatural.

I’m holding out before I make that judgment but so far he is the one character that unfortunately sounds good on paper yet we haven’t seen materialize on scene at all yet.

Has it really been just three episodes? I just feel like we've been watching this show for years, even though we don't have all that history in our minds. The talk between Dani and Vernon alone felt so natural that I couldn't believe I was watching a scripted television show, much less a daytime soap opera.

I totally agree and I hate the way he talks to Smitty, as if he's above him or better than him. I want to see more though to find out how they started out and how they ended up here.

Right. The way he berates Smitty makes me feel okay with Smitty possibly cheating on him if it were to come to that at some point. Also, to be clear, my feelings on Martin are based on character not so much the actor, although it's clear he's still finding his way into the genre and the character.

Smitty comes off as a male Stepford wife type and he clearly hates it. Wants to get back into the workforce, specifically being a journalist. Right now he's raising two kids and a stay-at-home spouse while his politician husband parades around with his constituents and his rich family. Not to mention his husband not letting him in on what's bothering him, and yelling at him about it as if he's the problem.

Andre is a criminal, or so it seems. He didn't want cousin Kat taking his picture.

His parents were killed in a plane crash. It's possible he doesn't want press attention on himself considering the life he might have come from (we don't yet know about said life while his parents were alive).
