Ashley gave this weird look at Dr. Ted, sort of like she was into him, maybe?  It was the scene where Leslie was in the elevator and was looking at them.

I assumed that was her daughter's father

Phideaux Xavier was one of my favorite GH directors and he did a great job with episode two. There was a marked improvement with the way the camera moved, shot framing, staging, etc. I especially liked what was done in the Nicole vs Hayley scenes, Dani confronting Bill at the office at the end, and the Anita & Dani opener. You can tell he put some effort in directing as opposed to just doing the typical static framing we get in soaps now so kudos to him, I hope the rest of the roster follow his lead.

Anita did a great job comforting Dani, there were so many layers displayed with their dynamic it was fascinating to watch. Dani does seem a bit deluded about what the state of her marriage really was so I look forward to unpacking that further. The shot where Dani was holding the wedding invitation and began breaking down and questioning if Anita knew about Bill and Hayley was especially good use of the set and cameras to follow a characters train of thought

I loved being introduced to Nicole’s side of the world. Her and Ted have the most natural chemistry of the couples we’ve seen so far, I loved meeting their staff and their home set 🔥 They’re definitely building these two up for a mask reveal and I’m actually going to be a little sad about it, I wonder why Leslie was so disturbed seeing him at the hospital

Hayley continues to be audaciously delusional, I can’t at her bringing Nicole a plate of cookies trying to get on her good side after all the mess. 💀 Nicole is a great sister and the “I fell in love with an inconvenient man—And now you have to deal with the inconvenient consequences” dialogue between the two of them was great stuff.

Bill is like a black JR Ewing with how sly he is man. I appreciated his protectiveness of Hayley and the way he blackmailed Vernon subtly into getting everybody to go to the wedding was hilarious. The end scene with Dani wrecking hell in his office was amazing and I can’t wait to see their dynamic in full.

Ashley is still a huge weak point for me and I hate that she seems to be the anchor of the “Beyond” side of the canvas. Her scenes with her mom, Eva, and Leslie instantly had me checking out of the show until Ted walked in and made Leslie react as they were leaving, I also liked Shanice her trainee but I think its a problem when the recurring day player is more interesting off rip than the contract character we’re meant to enter the world with.

Martin is another casting red flag for me, the actor was stiff in the first episode and it only got worse here. Hopefully they stop giving him the civil rights diatribes and he can give a more natural line delivery. I’m super curious what his bad dreams are about and what secret Anita and Vernon are trying to protect about him 🤔

Finally got around to Watch Episode 2!

gosh Nicole definitley is my Favorite character. The way she put Hayley mature enough in her Place and was loyal to her sister Dani. Amazing. The actress had Chemistry with everyone.
The Grandfather and grandson scenes of Vernon and Martin are my Favorite Part of the Soap so far tbh and they brought up Martin‘s past a few Times and want to protect him. Can’t wait to see what that is all about.

I feel torn about Hayley. I mean she is well written but is she really sorry ? She seemed sincere.

Andre and Ashley ain’t doing a thing for me tbh.

While I was rooting for Dani during Episode 1.. She was the least interesting Part of Episode 2. I wouldn’t say she was annoying but she was a bit too extra. The Cliffhanger was shown in the Trailer and it was even more cringe with the Built up lol

I liked the actress on B&B but the Scene with her Mother Anita and her Fake crying was One of the worst Scenes so far and not really convincing enough for me.

They are writing Bill like he’s some Big Guy Like Victor Newman that even Vernon seems quite frightened of lol

Jen Jacob may have been decent in other roles, but she lacks charisma and screen presence. That’s partly what makes her scenes tough to watch. Hoping she improves over time, but if she doesn’t, time to recast or write this character and her poorly acted boyfriend out!

The Andre actor may be green as well,  but he does have a lot more going for him when it comes to charm and charisma.

I do think Bill knows Dupree family secrets that they want hidden or maybe even covered some of them up and that is why Vernon is a little tense around him knowing that he could bring the Dupree family down.  It would be interesting to see those dynamics play out.

The show starts at 20-00 here in Germany and it's just a perfect time for me. I am counting the hours... 3 more to go.

Anybody else notice CBS.com's uploads are glitched?! At about the 36-minute mark, it ends the episode and either moves to the next, or it goes to another show? It seems like watching isn't registering the ads that play during the episodes, and it ends as if ads don't play.

@Errol Is this something that could be alerted to the people at CBS?

She honestly reminds me of the ingenue casting blunders of AMC in its later days (Babe #2, Marissa #1, Colby #2). They were supposed to carry story for their set of the canvas but never had the presence or charisma to pull it off, hopefully JJ improves where they never did.

It worked fine for me this morning

My first guess is that Ted may turn out to be Eva's father, and the two are in two plotting revenge against his family.

I thought that. But I also thought there is something more to the death of Andre's father.

The show has been on for two days, and this thread already has almost as many pages as the GH thread, and almost twice the number of the B&B, Y&R and DOOL threads combined....  :D

I mean we love a good ki-ki. ;)

That's my thought: the mentioning of Ted's brother really felt... ominous. Really ominous.

Yeah I can’t wait for Vernon vs Bill. That’s something I love looking forward to

I agree with that, too. In fact, I started to wonder as BTG goes on, if they will have their signature style. Kinda like how Y&R used to have BITD with close-ups, fade in floating past flower vases, a character talking in the foreground with a character in the background (in fact, I believe I saw one moment in the Martin/Vernon scene and loved that).

Oh, how this show makes a person imagine.
