As previously reported, cast members from ABC’s “General Hospital” are set to appear on the Wednesday, February 5 episode of the syndicated daytime talk show “The Jennifer Hudson Show” to celebrate the show’s current 62nd season.

The episode features Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain), Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) and Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) as they join host Jennifer Hudson on the couch for the first time, discussing they open up about their deep bond, reflect on the legacy of their late co-star, Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine), and the lasting impact she had on the show.

Plus, Cameron Mathison shares how his “General Hospital” family has supported him after the devastating loss of his home during last month’s Los Angeles wildfires, and Donnell Turner reveals that major celebrities—like Snoop Dogg—have shown interest in making a guest appearance on the daytime drama series.

Look for the cast to participate in a “General Hospital” trivia challenge with Jennifer, and find out whether they remember all the details about their characters, and, of course, the cast also took part in the iconic Spirit Tunnel where guests are welcomed by the talk show’s crew through a walkway leading to the set featuring original lyrics and happiness.

In addition to the “General Hospital” cast, 9-year-old Denzil Irving III, also known as “Professor D3” from Fort Pierce, Florida, joins the show to discuss his journey as an aspiring chemist. He teaches chemistry on his Instagram and YouTube channels, where he shares his love for STEM.

Check out a promo for the episode below.

Hosted by EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) winner Jennifer Hudson, who also serves as an executive producer, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” is filled with fun, excitement and laughter, as well as heartwarming and unexpected moments around every corner for viewers at home, fans on the street and in-studio audiences alike!

Now in its third season, the talk show features celebrity guests, viral sensations, and music, and has quickly become the premiere destination for celebrating exceptional community heroes.

The talk show is produced by JHUD Productions and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures. Along with Hudson, executive producers are Andy LassnerCorey PalentGraehme Morphy and Walter Williams III.

The yelling by the audience for the GH actors seems so fake and forced.

Sonny's character described by the cast as a mobster who is bipolar with a heart of gold. Are you kidding?

I thought they did a good job. They looked good & when they spoke, their enthusiasm was really top notch. I was wondering how many of you noticed the uptick in audience reaction when Mo was introduced? It was a huge reminder to me that even though some of us, online fans, are sick & tired of Mo & Sonny, the audience at large is not where we are. They're still oohing and ahhhing over him. When you could say that we are instead "over him." Very different meaning.

Jennifer Hudson asks about celebrities visiting or being cast.  Donnell replies that sometimes people want to appear, but they may or may not want to do all the actual work of a soap role.
Donnell mentions he has met Snoop Dogg and that he wants to arrange with Frank for Snoop to do a cameo, but that hasn't been arranged yet.

But most of this clip is about Leslie Charleson

    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation?

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.

    • Opal having siblings could add to the story. However, it raises questions about Tad's adoption. Why were the Martins allowed to adopt him if Tad had aunts or uncles who could have cared for him?  Logic limited the number of possible Gardner's (and whatever Opal's maiden name was).  Even though Linda Thorson would have been a hysterical choice given her British accent.  Especially because SOD often published questions by readers who wondered why Tad and Jenny didn't speak like their mother.   All of which is still not an excuse for Tad's evil doppelgänger Ted.
    • And if I remember correctly, at one point, they were considering having Linda Thorson play Opal's sister.
